I’m disappointed to read that you and yours have the Nation’s best interests this far back on your list.

Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.”

“There’s a pattern emerging here,” she said.

In any negotiation you must start out by asking for more than you think you can get, in order to get more of what you want. Obama hasn’t figured that out. Could be because he’s spent what, a week in the Senate?

Obama supporters need to keep in mind that he can’t win in Nov without the votes from Clinton supporters. Just keep pissing us off and we’ll stay home. And don’t feed us a line of crap about the war, and Roe v Wade. We simply need to get a Democratic Congress (with a spine) to protect us from whatever McSame might try to do.

I’m afraid you’re just way to bright and cosmopolitan for most of us. It may be why you never have any comments on your own blog and your works of olympian understanding just sort of lie there, much like a cow turd. Actaully, on many points I think Obama has been more specific that Clinton…and less pandering. On health care she’s constantly said she wants UNIVERSAL health care but never explains how she would compel businesses and self-employed individuals to comply. She evades that discussion and simply swings into saying WHY it is important…but never how to achieve it. She does oppose a “single-payer system” nowadays, though.

Obama talked about nmuch more attainable goals and the hard issue of sanctions. That’s realistic and hardly pandering. He’s not out there offering pie-in-the-sky and saying “I’m the Messiah…vote for me and everyone will be immediately covered by Universal health insurance”. He realizes that, particularly with the economy he’s inheriting and the WAR (that was “enabled” by Democrats like Clinton) that the dream of Universal healthcare is going to require many steps.
