CBS: Almost oooops

Indiana (99% reporting):

51% Clinton
49% Obama

North Carolina (99% reporting):

42% Clinton
56% Obama

So Hillary wins Indiana, at the almost-complete count, by 22,439 votes. The flip didn't quite occur, but I'll bet they were sweating at CBS, which called the state for Hillary waaaay too early. Nobody wants to be responsible for another "Dewey Defeats Truman."

Meanwhile, according to MSNBC, Clinton has canceled all of her appearances for the next several days.

Regardless of the Indiana outcome, according to MSNBC's Chuck Todd, Obama's capture of North Carolina's primary means that his lead is now essentially insurmountable. He calls tonight's results "a turning point."

One of tonight's talking heads mentioned that exit polling indicated that Hillary's adoption of the gas tax holiday idea actually backfired on her. I'd like to see those polls, but it's quite clear that the Rev. Wright controversy got blown away by these results.

Not that the media will pause long to reflect on that. Instead, I'd guess we can now look forward to several days of talking heads advising Hillary to get out. Followed by a week or two of concern trolling about Obama's ability to attract white working-class voters. Sigh.
