1. Being old may not disqualify John McCain from being president, but is there a reason he won’t release his medical records? And while we’re at it, Sugar Momma Cindy has certainly benefitted from the tax cuts McCain was once against, but now supports. Why won’t she release her tax returns so people can know how much his switcheroo meant to her?
2. I’m going to take MoDo at her word that she’s an authority on swilling cheap beer with gusto.
3. Only twice in the past hundred years has nobody from the current administration run for President. Wonder what that means?
4. Shorter WaPo: Chelsea Clinton isn’t falling down drunk and flashing the paparazzi. Ergo she’s a weirdo.
Maybe she should roll with MoDo?
5. Bomb sniffing dog weighs in on quality of campaign coverage.
6. I think this is pretty much the last word on the Joe Lieberman Weekly: "TNR, ever so much ‘ropy’ and bursting to so as to put up with wars, gone glimmering at the fall in with pertaining to Theocratic heteronomous unifoliate disarmament." Nice shoutout to Eli, too.
7. In a plus-7 Republican district, Democrat Don Cazayoux won a stunning upset victory in Louisiana 06 where the Republicans had held the seat for 33 years. Bonus points? The one million dollar ad campaign trying to drag Cazayoux down by tying him to Obama failed miserably. Back to the Atwater drawing board.
8. Cheap vacation packages for global warming doubters along Florida coastline.
9. Stephanopolous’ interview with Hillary Clinton was pretty good I thought — and I like that Obama supporters got to ask her questions. Timmeh, on the other hand, seems consistently devoted to pleasuring himself with the sound of his own voice.
10. Warner Brothers says online digital releases "had three times the profit margin of disc." I thought it was "too soon to put a value on internet content?" (See YouTube.)
Wow, I was so fooled.

I’m scratching lil bit as we speak
Scritch her ears for me, please.
Miss Dog is sleeping in her bed….. maybe will mozie out to the pool and she can sun herself on the diving board…
Can do
That description is perfect. Brava!
Good thing he can’t reach. . .
I’m checking my Yellow Pages(tm) for “Rent a Tummy” as we speak. No doggies to scritch here, I’m afraid.
You could rent one!
Hmmm, let’s see now…the closest one is about 4 hours drive from me, but it’s tempting, Raven..it’s very very tempting.
But but but I thought that the internet and being able to download movies and stuff was going to KILL the movie industry! Just like renting videos and DVDs were supposed to kill it!
I give Don Cazayoux three days to rightly earn Howie Klein’s enmity.
Still, a win is a win. Betcha Boehner’s tears were real this time.
These special election victories all over redworld have probably convinced Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer they are doing everything right, you know. Just what the American people ordered, a table cleared of pesky impeachment.
I was a bit surprised that Clinton thinks that corn waste can solve the GAS crisis. Cellulose biowaste isn’t effective in producing petroleum substitutes. It could reduce the need for coal-fired plants, and should be undertaken to reduce the methane release of this waste into the atmosphere. But as a panacaea for gasoline consumption…it’s a long ways off. One could convert some to LNG I suppose.
But the reason why we have the food crisis amplified by the funnelling of grains into the energy market is that they are ready substitutes for gasoline. Biodeisel conversion is quick and easy for many vehicles.
And what is that jordanyqf anyway?
I wish I could find it again, but the memory cells aren’t firing today — there was a piece by a Nation writer back in the 1990s about how he had a brief (as in one day) stint as a member of The White House Press Corps, only to lose the gig when the other reporters had him forced out for asking tough-yet-substantive questions. He said that it was interesting to see the relief on the Clinton staffers’ faces when they realized he was actually asking them real questions about real topics, and they actually gave him straight answers. This of course pissed off the Celebrity Press Corps to no end, and they made sure he didn’t come back the next day.
I think Hillary just got a Super Delegate, as well. Or maybe Caz You is the type to cast a vote for Edwards just for the heck of it? Or maybe he’ll just cast his vote for Obama to thumb his nose at the Republicans who spent so much trying to paint him as an “Obamabot”.
I keep waiting to read that Helen Thomas has walked in with a baseball bat. At this point, she must despise everyone there.
Thing is, this isn’t even pandering to the farmers because while it kinda-sorta helps the corn farmers, it reams the dairy and livestock people because more folks are either selling their corn crops straight to the ethanol plants or switching from feedstocks to growing ethanol corn, which means the price of feed goes through the roof. (This doesn’t hurt the organic livestock producers quite as much, since they typically use grass and hay, and not corn, in their feed.)
Plus, lots of rural communities are alarmed at how fast corn ethanol production, combined with the long global-warming-related drought, is depleting what was once the mightiest aquifer in North America.
But the only “ag” entity that counts is ADM. W doesn’t givea ff about dairy & livestock producers cause they aren’t big-ag.
:-)))
The Southern and Exurb Strategy may not be dead yet, but it seems to have developed a nasty cough.
I’m going to take MoDo at her word that she’s an authority on swilling cheap beer with gusto.
I’m a beer drinker I tried drinking Magnum Malt Liquor once I went through a half pack of smokes to kill the taste! and didn’t finish the 40.
Lets see Modo take the I think its chemically aged beer challenge! The hangover’s are the worst in my opinion.
At my first day at college I ordered a pitcher of Schaefer Light cause it was cheap with my last $5. I had to ask the waitress if she had sold me a NONALCOHOLIC BEER because it was so watery.
Trying to get drunk off of that involves lots of Bathroom breaks.
Would Modo know that fun beer fact?
Whats worse tasting Ice beer or malt liquor?
Now then does Modo know what an old man’s beer is
Hint Coors, Hamm’s anything cheap, not the slightest bit trendy also not to watery or bad tasting.
Modo is an expert I say lets test it.
The founders of the nation are turning over in their graves at the sorry state of our fourth estate.
Weren’t they just telling the writers a few months ago that they weren’t making money off the intarwebz?
Uh-huh. Note that the ethanol defenders flooding Capitol Hill recently were all from Big Ag. Actual rural communities are rapidly souring on ethanol.
Meanwhile the mess in Iraq just keeps getting worse.
400 civilians dead in BAGHDAD in just the last few days.
The Iraqis Say They’ve Been Given No Evidence That Sadr’s Militias are supplied by Iran
Pres. Jalil Talibani’s Wife Escapes Bomb Attack in a supposedly “safe” neighborhood of Baghdad, 4 Marines die in Ramadi- an area that we’ve supposedly cleared of Al Qaida and turned over to Sunni allies.
And the supposed “Iraqi National Guard operation” going into Sadr City has suddenly become a full-scale US operation with the Iraqi Government troops doing nothing. Al-Maliki has lured us into a Civil War (with the apparent full collusion of Petraeus).
That sounds like someone I want to read.
Follow the $$$$$.
Maybe someone whould explain to him where steak and ice cream come from. In words of not more than two syllables. Then walk him through a few dairies and feed lots.
Speaking of #7, did this race get mentioned at all on the bobble head shows? I didn’t hear it. They ignored Bill Foster’s win in Denny Hastert’s old seat too.
You know if R’s had won long held D seats, it would get a whole segment on every show.
My point is that he doesn’t care about people who produce food and eat food, he only cares about entities that can grease his pockets.
that stupid energy bill from congress last spring was when it finally started dawning on me how corrupt our own party is.
The republican wing of the democratic party really does suck, doesn’t it?
‘afternoon, all…to a native Floridian, that #8 is funny as hell. So New Syrna Beach is the shark attack capital of the world, huh? It’s also one of the most beautiful places in FL, IMO, very much the way FL was when I grew up. Beaches, white and pastel architecture, palm trees, and everything aquamarine, ‘Nam on TV and Saturn 5’s going up from the Cape…sigh…
…and somehow, big hungry fish lurking right off the sandbar doesn’t spoil the picture, but completes it.
Hi PP. Long time since we intersected here. How’re ya?
Does McCain have to release his medical records and wife’s tax records by law or not?
If he does not we can easily point out that you only hide stuff when you have something to hide.
So its McCain himself who thinks voters will reject him then for being to old and or in poor health if we saw his medical records.
Its McCain himself who thinks his wife’s money, business deals, or how little she pays in taxes will hurt him with voters.
When McCain hides something that means that he himself thinks its a weakpoint.
Who am I to argue? If John thinks its a weakpoint then lets hit him.
Good! And you?
I think that was somewhat Hillary’s effort to finesse that issue…by saying you could reduce this problem by switching from CORN GRAIN…to Corn Stalks. But the problem is…grain produces ethanol…but corn stalks produce methane. Those are two different animals.
If you had a lot of LNG vehicles on the road one could possibly use the latter (through a conversion process), but ethanol and biodeisel is pretty much only possible through grains and vegetable oils (i.e. high carb = food). Sugar cane waste has enough residual carbohydrate that it can be converted…but corn stalks? Sorry!
So, she’s talking about some “research” that is perhaps a decade away and currently unfeasible. I’m all for research, though. But right now that will have no impact on the issues we face right now. The one alternative I’ve heard that might be reasonable is switchgrass, which grows in areas that other crops can’t subsist upon. It’s a forage plant, but recovers quickly, and so might be compatible with pasturing cattle or other animals.
Yes it does.
I’ve spent so much time and long distance dollars calling my Blue Dog rep and his cohorts, and for very little in return.
Doing well. In the city for the first time in a month. It was supposed to rain this weekend & now it turns out sunny. Well, I have stuff to do here anyhow.
Teh corn subsidy certainly added to America’s weight gain. With the USDA making sure corn was cheap ADM and others gained a cheap supply of raw material and start pushing corn sweeteners as a sugar substitute. The tariffs on cane suger prevented competition and soft drink companies like Coke and Pepsi start using the cheaper alternative. The price dropped and the size of the soda containers increased. Instead of 12 oz. and 16 oz.(big in the days of my youth) we have gone to 32 and 64 oz. We have gotten fatter for the commodity price supports and ADM continues to make a killing.
I certainly wouldn’t want to earn her contempt… What’s wrong with those people? Other than a severe cocktail wienie overdose, I mean…
An Investigative report on the fine foods that Dubya, Cheney and others have imported for their personal consumption would be very enlightening to the public. You know those rat bastards do not eat foods from Cargill, ADM, Monsanto, Swift, and etc. (like they foist upon us with their policies of greed and death).
The fact remains that people south of our border eat natural meat products and we eat chemical-laden shit. Not Cheney and Bush, of course. I’d bet that they have many items imported (daily or weekly) from France.

No One in the Bush Administration Even Ran for President
I made this point briefly in another post but decided to expand upon it. I said this had only happened twice in the last hundred years. The two examples were of 1920 and 1952, at the end of the administrations of Wilson and Truman, respectively. In those two cases, the party holding power nominated someone with no connection to the administration. It reminds me a little of the scene near the end of “The Wizard of Oz” where Toto has pulled the curtain so that Dorothy and her group could see the real, human “wizard,” and the voice said something like “don’t pay any attention to that man pulling levers over there!” In 1920, 1952, and 2008, the candidate of the party in power has to be suggesting “Don’t pay any attention to that train wreck over in the White House–I don’t have anything to do with that!” Dorothy didn’t buy it, and in 1920 and 1952, the voters didn’t either.
http://rendezvousdestiny.blogs…..n-ran.html
What a fun fact!
SSSSHHH…. Hush… We can’t talk about that because it might give people ideas that the Republicans aren’t perfect… And then there’s no telling what they’ll do in November. Just keep talking about Rev. Wright, that’s the ticket…
OT: In the deja vu department, Glenzilla recounts the 1988 election this morning, citing a 3/3/87 article that shows at that time:
– Only 42% approved of the job Reagan was doing; 46% disapproved.
– Only 25% “said he was in charge of what went on in his Administration.”
– Only 32% had a “favorable view” of G.H.W. Bush, down from 43% in January.
– Only 29% approved of Reagan’s handling of foreign policy.
– 50% thought “Reagan was lying about key aspects of the Iran arms affair.”
He continues directly:
It may take boycotts of advertizers or riots in the streets to stop this media nonsense. But we cannot let them do it yet again: attack. Attack. ATTACK.
Cazayoux is a great fucking name!
Go to a Mexican store sometimes you can get Coke a cola from Mexico with real sugar! I never thought that I would consider sugar a healthfood…until I learned about the alternatives.
The best one-liner I’ve ever heard on what you should eat: don’t eat anything that your great grandmother didn’t eat. (Author on Book-TV a couple of months ago.) That would exclude high fructose corn syrup, and include everything they eat in Mexico.
it sure does. and i actually think they are doing a hell of a lot of damage – because they are fucking with the D brand and preventing a genuine alternative from emerging.
There is corn syrup such as Karo and my mother used that in candy but what the soft drink makers use is corn sweetner.
Can’t say for sure, but I think they forgot what their job really IS – they now think that they are in the info-tainment business, not the news business. So, like those reporters who cover the entertainment industry, they don’t want to pi** anyone off to hurt their sources. They are too wowed by the socalled “celebrity” factor associated with these people (I mean now really – are any of these people anything ’special’? Except for being lying, manipulating, coarse one-dimensional oafs?). They think “covering the Administration” means “covering FOR the Administration.”
Well, I suspect that the White House chefs do their buying from the fresh markets in the DC area…
Since my trip to Greece last year I have been trying to have a high fructose corn syrup free diet….. Does anyone know how hard that is?
The same label of bread that is sold here without HFCS but does in another local. I have found it in yogurt, salami, other deli meats, big time in salad dressings, ice cream (even hagan das)…. it goes on and on…. SALAMI??? why?
I saw the opposition add which morphed the name into “tax you”, but it’s a common enough name down there that I thought when I saw it, it might turn off some cajun voters. The long-time assiastant manager of New Orleans International Airport has the same name.
The economy is getting worse now under Bush that hurts the party in the White House now. Reagan got elected because the economy collapsed under Carter. Bush lost to Bill because his economy collapsed.
Past trends can predict the future!
You are right the GOP will go negative and avoid the issues this election but I think the economy trumps that.
They are in the info-tainment business; they just call it news.
My mother also used corn syrup. I thought it was the same as HFCS. But my great grandmother didn’t use it.
I actually have a couple of bottles in the country that are about 20 years old. Bought them to add to bubble stuff to make gigantic bubbles (6-8″ across) when the kids were little. We were a too ambitious about how much we would make, as a result, leftovers. It doesn’t seem to spoil and I haven’t had a use for it.
I just pictured Fat Karl chowing down on quail wings. Cheney is famous for eating steaks. Would he risk his ticker for shitty, tasteless, USDA beef?
If we eliminated everything from our diets that includes high fructose corn syrup, I think a whole lot of people would have empty plates.
Organic grocery store maybe a Mexican store I admit I have never checked the salami though.
Maybe we should check out the White House Chef and see what he stocks the kitchen with.
It is cheap. You should read Michael Poulan’s book The Omnivore’s Dilemma A Natural History of Four Meals.
AK-47s?
I shop exclusively at stores that try to have organic food….. whole food, trader joe’s, sprouts, and fresh & easy….. Columbus Salami has HFCS in it… and so does the pastrami…
AZ Matt…. that book is on my coffee table, plus Real Food by Nina Planck and also Poulan’s book – In Defense of foods…. it is still HARD and expensive….. I have to pay MORE to not have something in my food…. now explain that one…..
Just checked the labels on two jars of preserves I bought today (brand-Bonne Maman). Sez sugar, cane sugar, What the hell does that mean? Is the “sugar” part from sugar beets? It’s made in France, so I guess there’s no HFCS in it.
Wasn’t a lot of this due to the boycott against Cuba, which had, for decades been the principle source of American sugar. Sadly we have a great potential source of sugar-cane waste (and actual sugar) just miles from our shores) and we are denied access because of right-wing politics.
Most of the Cuban sugar cane waste simply goes to produce methane released into the atmosphere. Seems that we could solve multiple problems by allowing them to trade this commodity (or providing them with ethanol technology in exchange for the US getting first-option on the fuel).
I thought Darth shoots a lady’s shotgun?
Bwahahahaha.
From everything I have read & researched that should be good…. I have yet to find food produced and imported from the EU to have HFCS
I agree how are the Dem candidates on ending the embargo?
No I’m being Serious less kick, smaller shot, heck thats the only reason his friend is still alive despite being shot from i think it was throw a rock range.
No your right it is funny!:)
That might be the only shoutout I ever bookmark.
Didn’t know you were being serious, but thought you might be. But it IS funny either way.
We need a picture of Dick’s friend after getting shot for gun control ads.
I’m pro gun but does anyone else think Darth should have been tested for Drinking while shooting people.
Anyone else and I’m sure its an involuntary manslaughter charge with some jail time.
Obama actually supports ending the embargo, particularly for family, scientific and educational travel, and in allowing Cuban families abroad to send back disbursements.
Obama’s Stance On Cuba Could Hurt Him
The guy’s got cajones. He made these statements in Miami, and this flies directly against what political wisdom said should have won over the votes of the Cuban-American electorate. Somne say that he was looking more ahead to the young voters, 2nd and 3rd generation Cubans…or those that aren’t as politicized who want to help and revisit their families.
Do you do any gardening? Northern Arizona’s growing season is short but we do try to get some goodies out of it. I already have some corn in the ground and peas and onions.
Maybe what we really need is Dick control.
If you shoot you friend at close range and your drinking don’t you think you deserve jail time? What kind of amoral fiend doesn’t feel the slightest bit guilty.
Boy, I’m glad my folks didn’t want me to be a Dick.
The kind of amoral fiend that forces the “friend” to apologize for having the audacity to get hisself shot.
We already know.
In every sense of the work Dick.
I think the shot size goes by standard number, like from #6 bird shot to #00 buck shot. I don’t think they have male and female shells. The fellow shot in the face must have just caught the extreme outer portion of the shot pattern. He really was lucky.
good! we need people who won’t pander for votes.
We need that statement said in Florida to run in contrast with McCain’s pander on immigration, the Bush tax cuts and his TORTURE POLICY.
Then we close with a Bobo or Dean Brodur quote about McCain’s principles and then Bush’s I looked into Putin’s eyes/soul quote.
Oops on 81. “word” not “work.”
For some reason the linky failed Obama Calls For revision of US Policy on Cuba
Hillary apparently sees the current embargo as the way to go. No problemo!
On another Sunday topic, Hillary didn’t retreat from her statements regarding annihilating Iran. But she did retreat a tad by saying that “I don’t think that they WOULD do that (attack Israel with nukes). But I was asked a question about what I would do if they did.”
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/hom…..35777.html ">Clinton, Obama Spar on Iran
Sheesh…why didn’t she simply say that in her original statements…”I don’t think that they would DO THAT’. Seems simple. But she ONLY went on to talk about “annihilation”. Odd statements to make about a country that you don’t think will attack another?!
And she failed to indicate that she has any awareness of the National Intelligence Estimate once again.
Too late for gardening here in Phoenix…. we have had temps in the high 90’s already….. Yes I have a garden bed but missed my planting time due to my surgery last fall. I also go to the farmer markets around town….
See ya’all later….. heading out to whole foods to buy Italian black cabbage to make soup for my kids called la ribollita, a Tuscan bean veggie soup….
Obama noted that Hillary had previously criticized him for being naive in expressing a willingess to meet with Iranian leaders without a year or so of background work. He implied that her almost casual statements about nuclear obliteration and nuclear shield treaties didn’t seem to square with her earlier criticism of him.
If you really want to scare the shit out of yourself this afternoon, listen to this.
http://antiwar.com/radio/2008/04/29/bruce-gagnon/
One more point that suggests that Hillary is pandering the “gas tax” issue.
Clinton Says She’ll Ignore “Elite Economists”
Of course, these are the folks that are the most informed and critical of the Bush Energy policies and the ones looking at the down the road effects of actions now.
So much for all that talk about Hillary getting and using the best advice of scientists and scholars “unlike the Bush Administration”.
funny you should write this today, Jane. I was also thinking about something that I have to actually control, in my thinking processes.
The most powerful and most just nation in the history that we know of on this planet wiped out and is continuing to damage the “cradle of civilization”.
What does THAT mean??????
I’ll be spending the next hour on your post, but I wanted to throw this in.
Thank you and
wow
THANKS huge for Arianna’s visit with Glenn yesterday.
That was nothing short of astounding!
:)
MoDo must need those beer chasers before she can write her usual monkey-flinging-poo-as-OpEd for Bill Keller.
Today, she continues her Norma Desmond imitation (typecasting that should maker her very afraid). She wonders why Barack Obama — the lone kid from Chicago’s South Side who made it to his “NBA team”, Harvard Law School — a guy who’s so popular that
he doesn’t need to date MoDohe’s won seats in the Illinois legislature and the US Senate, “seems so forced when he mingles with common folk”.Now I know how a cat with no claws climbs trees. She does it only in her imagination. I don’t think Ms. Desmond Dowd has “mingled with common folk” since she served tea (and bourbon) to all those nice young men from the LAPD who came to clean out that floater from her pool.
you know why I NEVER talk about Mo? Cause I KNOW that the main reason she writes what she does is cause she wants people to talk about her chit.
nuff said.
pax
I’ve already done that — scared the shit out of myself — several times this morning…
I’m trying to find Alice Walker on Tvvvvveeee now.
Glad it’s nice weather there for you.
Kinda coldish here.
Hey, it’s LA. I’m spoiled.
You!
oh. and Jane. another thing. if that was a metaphore or a story, cool, but
if you are really not scratching your dog’s belly,
go do that!
my dog TOLD ME that the reason they have 4 legs and we only have 2, is that we need to deal with our emotions by scratching, rubbing, petting, the DEMANDING THING FROM THEM, cause they take that negative energy OUT OF US and use their 4 feet to put it into the ground.
he said that. i thought I’d pass it along.
no shit. did you notice that the planning document he discusses is from the ’90s?
Had on Aloce Walker for awhile, but she’s not my bag. (how dated is that expression.)
Started off 50ish & overcast, but now it’s 67 & sunny. Think I’ll dine outdoors at my local pub tonight.
PhysioProf, you still here? How about dinner with you & yours at Parnells?
Was that the date? That puts in the the Clinton Admin. So much to be scared about, I didn’t take in all the details.
Norma Desmond Dowd is in good company. The Ian Shapira does his best Karl Rove imitation for Fred Hiatt, who gives him front page space to ask the question we’re all desperate to have answered:
Is there substance coming in the next question from our top two East Coast newspapers? Is there an inquiry that might relate to a candidate’s ability to govern instead of one that trashes her and her [Democratic] family? Or do they keep their power positions by helping re-elect another eternal teenager whose idea of thinking ahead is memorizing what to tell dad when he finds that junior’s emptied the beer fridge again?
I think the Democrats clearly have a Bimbo Gap.
iirc, 97ish? it struck me because it wasn’t the bush administration. i was going to listen again and try to track down some of the references. will let you know if i find it.
She does seem to be a bit, what? Doesn’t always work for me either. But, I like intriguing.
Whatever she is….feh.
I couldn’t find it anyway….
Pub tonight for you sounds like a good, nice time.
Trying to get up the Umppphh to go work on my yard.
Not like what You Have. :) But, still.
Land. Life. Love.
What we all have.
For Better or Worse.
A gap the Goopers are ready to fill with all those ex-trophy wives who’ve given way to newer ones, another formerly bipartisan phenomenon that the GOP has claimed as an exclusive attribute.
So you’re saying the Dems are suffering from atrophy?
Go outside & work for awhile. Is good for you. I did my exercise for the day.
You mean, like, shriveled?
I’m a little troubled by Shapira’s take in the WaPoo. Aren’t “goody goody” followers what the fundies and Regent U and its peers have been trying to clone for a generation?
Perhaps it’s that Chelsea’s not a follower (she thinks for herself and went to Stanford, not Yale or Georgetown), and that she may now be acquiring her own following (unlike the current Bush younger generation) that most troubles Ian.
Thank you.
Good for you. I really need to. Did the shaving, masking, heeling thing this morning, so I should go work on the the same for my yard!
You mean I should change from classical music, what I’m listening to right now, to some Classic Rock? It goes together for me.
Will do both.
Thank you for your inspiration and support.
I meant yard work and Rock.
Not, shaving and rock.
Ha!
Where is punaise when you need help?
Sounds like a plan.
I think you mean, “Wither punaise?”
Beatles. Rubber Soul.
Bye ’til later.
Oooooh. Beatles. Go for it.
They are all Pat O’Brien and Lara Spencer.
Spring cleaning sux.
Lungs barkin’.
Dogs tired, spaniels too. En route to siesta, I’m recommending “Astronaut Farmer”–Right Stuff so much cooler than Wright Stuff.
On the contrary, they probably tell their would be trophy wives that all their trees are sequoias. Based on the leadership of Harry Reedless and Steny Hoyer, aspidistra would probably be more accurate.
(h/t To Catch a Thief)
A deflating correction. I’ll have to borrow some of St. John’s little blue pills. He thinks they’re brain food.
I liked #8 on jane’s list. Thanks jane. Didn’t know New Smyrna was the shark attack capital of the world. I suspect my wife and her friends didn’t know that eiter whjen they took all thir kids there during spring break.
For Republicans, they basically are.
Jane, what striking quotes.
As to Cazayoux, I think he’ll be as red or redder than the reddist of blue dogs! Although you’re right, a win is a win, a lot of people will be expecting us to be a united party once we have a super majority on both houses, and I don’t even believe that will be true (unless of course we’re willing to do a lot of giving and they’re also willing to do a lot of giving, up of principle that is.) Sad to say, according to wiki, 45% of the party is liberal/progressive (not even a majority), 33.2% are conservative and the other 21.2% are “disadvantaged” (whatever that means!) Therefore, we cannot expect to have our way all of the time and a lot will depend on which side that 21.2% falls on. Rethugs and the blue dogs can all be expected to pull them toward the conservative side of things. I expect to see a lot of bobbing and weaving and many complaints from the lefty blogosphere even if we win both houses and the WH!
Re your #1, Jane, has anyone done a compilation of the McHomes of McCain?
From Left in Alabama:
The WaPo is up to its usual tricks, again. I read that Chelsea hit piece and feel a need to wash my eye out with bleach.
ecahn – found it and posted the link and some quotes in the next thread.
Hey, she’s the smartest “guy” there ya’know.
She’d use ‘em for libel in 2 sec. flat! *g*
my current heroine.
you waiting for liddy or whut zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I think you’ve got the parties mixed up.
Pugs are purty sure they gots a trophy.
Dems they gots plenty abundant trophies.
Pugs be jealous, or was that jelly-ous…? hmmm…
Punaise??? U there?!
Jim Gilchrist is definitely a character when it comes to the NEO-NAZI camp. One lady at http://www.thetruthaboutjimgilchrist.com exposed him during an interview and he ran off and cut the interview short after threatening her with lawsuits. I guess Jim Gilchrist and one of his close associates Stephen Eichler have been going around suing various patriots in the movement that don’t like them. What is weird is that after looking at both Sandy Gilchrist/Jim Gilchrist and Doreen Eichler/Stephen Eicher’s bankruptcies you have to wonder about them. Looking more closely at Stephen Eichler, you can find that he was the President of a Nevada Corporation called IFPNetwork (www.ifpnetwork.com) which was a tax shield game, which HIS associate William S. Reed and Asset Protection Group, Inc. just got shut down from the feds for their IRS tax scams. It is no wonder that the board of directors fired them, which incidentally just caused them to file more lawsuits and more company names in other states in an effort to keep the donor money rolling in. Pretty crazy stuff… http://www.thetruthaboutjimgilchrist.com.
