Thanks for putting this up, Teddy. Although I have to say there are legitimate reasons to stop big jets like Ahnuld’s from landing at Santa Monica Airport beyond spite. The runways are tiny and they abut a residential area, and the potential for a bad accident is great.

At least one political writer with LA Times, I think, believes that Ahnuld will run for mayor of LA because he wouldn’t like being in the Senate. Those all night legislative mark-up sessions would bore him, and Maria doesn’t want to live in DC anyway. Ahnuld loves being a Star and glad-handing. He doesn’t really want to work at anything else.

CHOMP is a country club hospital, oh so fancy digs but lousy executive management. Following a recent major expansion that includes a wing that includes oh so rich patient suites with amenities, i.e., large flat screen TVs and more generous visiting hours, etc. etc. Staff turnover is dramatic and we lost some of our best doctors, nurses and lab techs to nearby Salinas Memorial Hospital. One of my best friends, a lab tech revered in the senior community including Clinton’s former chief of staff, Leon Panetta, was forced out of CHOMP less than a year ago because of his objections to mass layoffs of experienced nurses, lab techs and others. My friend commutes to Watsonville, a bit further than Salinas but he received an offer he couldn’t refuse, happily.

You’d love it down here Kirk and like LooHoo the invitation to stay with us while you explore possible professional opportunities or just want to hang out.
