Among tax cheats, politicians, those about to share a cell with Bubba for an extended stay with Uncle Sam, and those absconding to jurisdictions that have no extradition treaties with the US. It makes sense, too, when the wife paid for everything. </p> <p>But Bart Maverick here has book royalties, a Senate salary, speaking fees, probably consultancy and endorsement contracts. He’s now a multi-millionaire in his own right, though a decimal point or two to the left of his heiress wife (whose money comes from that great family values, Christian tradition of beer drinking).
