The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plains.

Hi Donita, Fini…
John designed his own wet suit to look unappealing to sharks. Clever boy.
Judy loves Lydon, it’s clear…
Finally Friday :)
Judy likes intelligent men, though.
least i’m not the only one that plays my zipper. albeit, my hoody zipper.
Hey YoungJess :>
Hello thormaillet :)
Hi fini Hi Donita Hi YoungJess Hi everybody!
Yeah, I could call you just Jess now I suppose…you’re not a stranger :>
Hello Elliott :)
Hi everyone.
The Judge Judy thing made me think… Donita, you don’t plan to participate in one or another form of reality TV?
Apparently sharks don’t like giant wasps. :)
I would so not look hot in a wet suit :|
I’m hyped, Donita used my favorite John Lydon song – World Destruction with Afrikaa Bambaataa. :D
Fini, I bet you would look great in a wet suit :)
Last year, 65 people were bitten by sharks worldwide.
Last year, over 3,000 people, in New York City, were bitten by…
other people.
Hello! Well, it depends on what you mean by reality TV. I love the Judge Judy clip. I think it’s brilliant.
I don’t think I would do a celebrity reality show, but you never know.
I’ll be right back I have to reboot my computer, its acting crazy.
well, you don’t hear that on NPR, now do you?
That fella is a burger short of a Happy Meal.
Or maybe one second away from being one!
This is the first time I’ve ever seen an interview with John Lydon. Seems like a real sweetie.
Where DO you find this stuff?
Well, he’s a sweetie around real sharks, not so sweet around music industry sharks. He’s a pistol.
I try, I try.
Johnny is still rotten, but man, is he much funnier today!
See, Jane, I told you the other day that Lydon had his own TV show for awhile. It was really entertaining, and his intelligence was really on display. He’s amazing, actually, though everyone treats him like some kind of artifact. I’m a big PIL fan too.
True. If I remember right (please correct me if I’m wrong, not that it was another member of the Sex Pistols), in the 80s he totally ruined the mood in an MTV interview by threatening violence to the host for revealing the part of town, where he lived.
That sounds about right….threatening violence towards the host. ;-) The Sex Pistols were all about going against the establishment. Even in the 2nd video above he’s basically telling the music business to suck-his-you-know-whatsey. Great attitude if you ask me. LOL
Heh. You wouldn’t say that at the beach with me.
OK, so I vow to no longer update software when I am in comments at FDL on Fridays.
I think he had an interview show at one point a few years ago as well. He’s into the nature thing now. Here he is with Gorrillas:

Surely updating us is enough?
yeah, i have a bad habit of doing that as well.
One would think,I suppose. Anywho, that song World Destruction is as relevant now as it was 20 years ago when it was first out. Maybe even more so now.
Yeah, as I recall the interview show didn’t work out, though I really liked it the few times that I saw it. He always made me laugh. And I’d heard about the nature show but hadn’t seen any of it … so thanks.
Would it be possible to get Lydon to have a talk with Nancy Pelosi? It might help our cause for impeachment. LOL
Incidentally, this may be my all-time favorite Lydon song.
Here’s another of John at an Ape sanctuary:

I accidentally found one of the coolest antiwar videos ever on youTube today.
Me too. I love the bass. L7 covered it a few times. I like Annalisa too. Here it is Live in Tokyo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9oIyZ753SI
reminds me of david byrne, in an odd way.
@everyone. Thanks for sharing all the videos. Very interesting.
Odd, it does have that kind of vibe
Good one. I like the deck of cards.
I’d post a video too, but Youtube isn’t working for me :(
Digg it for Donita
Powerful. Thanks for posting it.
Dang, thanks for doing that, I forgot to Digg it.
Wow. Thanks for the antiwar video. Disturbing, in a useful way.
Yeah I thought that antiwar vid was pretty good stuff. I loved the deck of cards…I kinda want a deck myself
The black guy talking about napalm was hard to watch, because we all know our current government has used a souped-up version of that crap. Our government should be ashamed of themselves.
Not music, but cool vid nonetheless…

Tom-Tom Friedman gets a pie in the face, and he can’t handle it. The child that keeps telling troops in Iraq and Iraqi people to tough it out for another six months, over and over again, can’t handle a little wayward meringue.
Typical warmonger.
all that pops into my heads is FU and pie hole.
Youtube is finally working for me again, here’s a good song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBDwYaZKfnM
If it’s “our” government we should be ashamed of ourselves. Americans have let the crimes of this administration go on for far too long. If this were a European country the people would be out on the streets with their torches and pitchforks. In the U.S. people just want to know who the next Idol will be. The nation is deserving of this government for their passivity.
“…can’t handle a little wayward meringue.”
Bah hahahahahahaha! They’re all like Hitler. Big tough guys when the camera is rolling and when they get the chance to talk about killing people, oh but when it gets tough for them, they either run away like a girl or pull out a gun and end it! Unfreakingbelievable.
I refuse to blame myself with all I’ve done on my end since before the first bomb was dropped. George Bush, Dick Cheney, the House & Senate are the ones who need to get down on their knees and beat their own backs until they bleed. Not me.
Is the shark named “Malcolm McLaren”?
.
Wow.
Ooh! Snap!
Whatever they have been done has been done in your name and the name of every citizen in the country. It’s painfully obvious that whatever anyone has done to counter the criminal actions of this regime has been ineffective at best and pathetic at worst.
I gotta run and grab some dinner folks, see ya next week!
Meanwhile, San Diego freaks out.
The only thing missing is a missing White Woman.

bye Fini
he was so flaberghasted…it was priceless
Very strange coincidence. John Lydon said that he specifically designed his wetsuit to not be black so as to look like a seal.
twek at 10-”least i’m not the only one that plays my zipper. albeit, my hoody zipper.”
ROFL
(i couldn’t see the video until it loads on dial-up, so am responding to the zipper-playing)
my genius elderly favorite uncle sonny ’played’ his windbreaker all the way through the lewis and clark movie at the omnimax theater a few years ago….fervently….some symphony in his head, i’m sure, i noticed soft and loud and pauses and staccato……..i was climbing out of my seat…….was all i could do to not yell ’stop it’……….
rest of the family was on the other side, he was doing it tucked under the arm of the chair by me, like he was handing me drugs…just loud enough for me to hear it..and he knew it. : )
True. Don’t you think most people around the world blame our government and not us? I like to think so. I know one thing….I will not blame myself or any of you. We’ve tried and are trying. We’ve all protested and are planning to do it this year too. We’ve done every year/month all over this country since 2000 and still nothing changes. Hell, even when Bush was pulling up to the White House on his first day in 2001, his limo got egged by Americans.
Good thing. too bad the gentleman in San Diego didn’t have one like that. Fatal shark attack just reported.
lol, funny :)
OK everyone. See you next week, have a great weekend!
thanks Donita!
bye Donita!!
I think I’m gonna get going too, see ya next week!
bonkers at 56
i remember when a protestor in cincinnati pie’d some lying muckety-muck and was charged with assault, no kidding……
don’t remember who, but it was pretty outrageous….the charges were dropped
was in the 80’s
tw at 75–it wasn’t then, i wanted to kill him, slowly, even though i know how he is, but it is now…..
They blame our government AND us. They blame us (the people) because we (the people) elected the government and it represents us, no matter how much we may wish otherwise.
A good way to end this thread…

;-)
If I’m gonna swim in the ocean I don’t wanna look like a seal.
I mean, that’s chum.
.
To say that means every time we’ve contacted Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnel, and Boner we are conspiring with them and it’s just an act. Right?
We are not to blame. Our leaders are.
Laters, Donita!
.
tweek at 75–and yeah, i gotta admit, it’s a talent.
No, it says that we have to take responsibility for our leaders though. Especially when they keep getting re-elected.
Saw Saul Williams at the Fox this week.
What a show. Damn.
