Sorry, I may not have been clear. I was saying if the poll was “McCain vs your choice of Democrat”, it would be different. Isolating it as McCain vs Obama and then McCain vs Clinton doesn’t really account for those who will “come to their senses” after the Dem primary contest is over. Many people understand that they can play the poison pill by selecting McCain when asked about their non-favored Democratic nominee.

I believe that this IS separate poll questions “who would you vote for if the candidates were X and Y”?

Good for you. We no longer get Ed, et al, so I have not heard him for some time. But I was quite glad Randi R. was axed. She had been over the line for sometime, IMO, and she just went the mile too far….way too far.

If that were reframed as a poll of (either Clinton or Obama) vs. McCain, it would be a better predictor of November’s results. As it is, keeping it as separate polls serves 2/3 of the candidates and most of the media’s interests.

We had been talking a while back about the guy who came home to find his stuff being removed by strangers into various cars. When he protested, they showed him copies of a craigslist ad stating he had moved and everything left was free for the taking. That is, they showed him the ads as they drove away.
Usually this is done for “revenge”, but this was different.

A pair decided to rob the home, and posted the ad as a cover for their burglery. They just got there early, joined the crowd, and took what they had been planning to steal all along.

Sneaky evil bastards are everywhere it seems.

Oh, bad guys got caught. Only a few people returned the guys stuff when the story got publicity…

Thanks. A sort of sweet spot. Those are hard trips and definitely worth it. I just had that sort of travel with my mother. When I wasn’t there, I was wondering, wanting to know etc. My best.
