…And Chris Matthews may be breaking out the crystal ball sometime soon for numbers predictions, because he’s way too antsy to wait for something as boring as solid numbers. (Oh, who am I kidding. The longer this drags on, the more face time he gets.)
– Mrs. Alan Greenspan is reporting from Clinton HQ, where she reports that people are glummish because they aren’t expecting the humongous numbers they’d hoped for to rake in additional delegates. While watching her, I’m thinking two things: (1) God, this woman has a ginormous head. I mean, it’s humongous attached to her tiny little body. How does she stand upright in a gust of wind? and (2) If the Clinton campaign HQ has an open bar going, they will be even more in debt after this evening. (I’m not saying Andrea’s been hitting the sauce or anything, but I’d count the cognac bottles if I were in charge. Ya never know when a full count might come in handy. I’m just saying…)
– Who are these zombie people on all of the cable news stations, anyway? I think David Neiwert had it right with this, I have to say. No matter which station I turn to, it’s a zombie-o-rama this evening. Even the pundits are tired of the horse race. If it weren’t for the green room nosh and the extra tape for that next rung up the broadcast ladder toward super-duper-newsy-stardom, I think half of them would have stayed home with some melba toast and chopped vegetable pate. (Figure to watch, ya know.)
– Pat Buchanan has come dangerously close to saying he finds Barack Obama prissy. I think Pat is developing a bit of a crush. Oh, and Harold Ford?!? And it is too much to ask that someone tell Scarborough that the National Journal screwed up its methodology and Obama is NOT the most liberal Senator, so he can stop quoting that with that smartassy smirk on his face?
– Duncan — too amusing.
– Norah O’Donnell tells me that Barack Obama is pulling in the following support in PA:
69% in Philly proper
62% in outlying Philly suburbia
38% in Pittsburgh and vicinity (which makes sense given Hillary’s blue-collar roots in the area)
42% in the rest of the state
At least, according to the most recent exit polls, that is. Which says it’s gonna be a long night of ballot counting and tallying. What else does it mean? Damned if I know.
– In the dull news of the evening, McCain appears to have won against all those candidates who just gave up and went home to their trust funds and gated communities to sulk in solitude. (And a certain Duran Duran fan wept softly into her Puffs with lotion…)
So pop the popcorn kids and settle into something comfy. Teddy’s making the martinis, and we’re sending Jane out for more pumpkin loaf for the poodles. Who wants to take a guess on the over and unders for this evening? Any guesses on the final division of votes? Because this is all going to come down to percentages and division of the 158 delegates in play…

Christy, you just crack me up! You’re absolutely right!
pumpkin loaf for the poodles
Damn, I thought the herring and sweet potato dogfood we feed these knuckleheads was weird.
Does KO have a hidden tranquilizer dart to shot Tweety with?
Clinton gathering looking a lot more lively now
But what exactly do they think she has “won”?
Hi Ghristy. Thanks for the recap.
McCain won?!?! Oh, my GOD!!!!!!
The Clintons are whining about Obama spending 11 million on ads, hope this is a goooooooood sign.
Yeah, I think they are using a fish-eye lens for her. Her nose looks like it is about 18 inches away from her ears. On the last thread, I said she just needs to. back. away. from. the. camera.
Indeed another classic.
I swear they Hilnuts are playing American Girl!
“make it last all night”
She wins…with 3% in….ummmm
Ok.
So, what happens when the other 97% comes in?
Appletinis, getcher appletinis right here!
What kind of martinis? Dirty ones?
3% in a 53 to 47 spread. I’m not counting on anything until it’s all in.
I am at the computer listening to coverage, through my husbands very loud Archie Bunker rantings and I keep wondering “Why is Mrs. Greenspan talking so slowly…???” She sounds like the tape is sticking.
Now I know why, thanks for that, Christy.
Ooooo…dirty martinis…
I’ve never had one.
darn – not even close, in a zeddish sorta way.
Mrs. Alan Greenspan is reporting from Clinton HQ,
How do you know that? Do I have the world’s slowest teevee?
MSNBC reporting that Hillary’s tapped out – no mo money.
But, but, but… Isn’t the world pausing to consider who he’ll pick for a running mate?
It’s ok, it’s only a drug, it’ll wear off.
FIneman sez calls going out to superdelegates right now.
duh
Christy, her head is that big because she’s a neocon which means she has a cannonball head. And the synapses inside no longer work. See?
MSNBC is particularly lame tonight.
It starts and stops with KO. He shouldn’t be anchoring. It is a trasvesty.
Where is Chuck Todd to talk about delegates won tonite?
Unfortunately, CNN has been sucking even worse.
I think a dirty martini means olive juice instead of Vermouth. (Not clear)
delish
Undeclared superdelegates “arms are being twisted”…because she is “declared as having a victory in PA”…with 3% in???? WTF.
I have no problem with HRC winning…none…but…3%?
Wake me up please…where am I???
how can they declare with 3%
Sorry, I didn’t start drinking until after I made that comment. And I’m only going to drink a couple fingers of Cabernet from a kids’ plastic cup.
(Does the cup cancel the elitist Cabernet?)
CNN sez 53/47 @ 5%
Question asked: How will Obama seal the deal?

When I think of fisheye I think mescalito

CNN doesn’t seem to have called yet.
she has 5%
Pat Buchanan is going on in favor of Hillary winning, but says she’ll have trouble in Indiana.
Rachel says Obama keeps sneaking out super deligates, which Hillary is not doing.
think OLIVES with the juise…yummy
Gene Robinson, the voice of wisdom: “We have to wait to see the spread.”
I disagree. I think Buchanon is a racist pig.
Get ahold of yourself! You’re on an FDL thread at the moment! *slapping you and throwing cold water at your face* ;-)
I’m at 15 and it’s sounds awful to me!
They may be taking exit polls on this, counting as each wastebasket is taken to the exit to be dumped. Still, I doubt they’ll make a projection until the final numbers come in.
PAT is unhinged
95% still to come in.
Is tonight really the night to talk about Clinton’s money woes?
Perhaps tomorrow, but money isn’t the story tonight.
yea, racist pig paid whore, works for me
4% difference so far. let’s see if it tightens or loosens
KO, “as we interrupt the Hillary Clinton” telethon!
creep 52/48
Buchanan trying to say the words “Obama” and “defeat” as often and as closely as possible.
Where is Chuck Todd, the delegate hunter?
He always is. Once in a while he’ll make a good rational point, but then he’ll go back to being the crazy Uncle who can’t find his beer.
Oh for the love of all that is holy – for the first time in my not-so-short lifetime, INDIANA just became important.
I don’t know how to act……..
If she can’t continue it sure as hell is.
STFU TIMMEH
Keith is saying 52/48 Clinton/Obama. This race is not ending tonight according to Russert. (gag)
Gin, dry vermouth, olive juice with any dirty bits, ice, shaker, shake well, strain into martini glass, add olives.
SHE BROKE TIMMEH you putz
Go to Shades or Turkey Run and take a hike.
they have to fill time…

John Harris of the Politico proclaimed that since the networks all ready called the race for Hillary, her lead HAS to be substantial.
CSPAN 2
He’s outspending her because he has megabucks. She can’t keep up. Tell the truth, Pat.
Sorry Pumpkinhead, I’m not nervous and I’m a democrat. Cut the cr*p.
shut up timmeh
Oh lordy, it’s Timmeh. I’m going to need a Cosmo, Teddy. Stat.
Punkinhead sure can make those arguments for Hillary Clinton’s candidacy without breaking a sweat.
Timmeh says it will be between 5 and 12 points.
You have a point there.
INDIANA!!!
Can anyone give me a coherent reason why Timmeh is still on the air?
Have taken dogs for walk and returned to Russet handwaving and testosterone spittle flying…sheesh, you’d think he was Matthews.
Time to go back up and get out the pooper scooper…it’s flyin’ tonight.
i hope he does a truman
kneepads
Here’s a double, m’lady.
make that a
doubletripleThe NYT also has a cute graphic up on its front page. You can move the cursor over the categories and it shows which counties apply. Maybe not real useful but fun.

Here’s a Russia Today video where the reporter is interviewing an Amish guy in Pennsylvania and he says he’d rather vote for Obama before he would vote for a woman (Hillary):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOz5ytVRJ0Q
I thought it was interesting.
Ah… I see…
I figure we are about 35 minutes before the discussion on MSNBC turns to “how does Hillary exit”. Just a guess.
But in looking at the impact on the popular vote impact of this difference (and I think the delegate count difference is going to be pretty small) I just don’t see this goes for her from here on out.
I’m hangin’ with you….
Still relatively new at this – hangin’ on by a fingernail….
An idiot could have guessed that. old Pat….
Sounds like a drink for a summer night when one is dirty coming home from the beach!
Matthews the voice of reason tonight.
Who could have anticipated….
Just shoot me. I can’t take Timmeh any more.
Cheney is Russert’s “producer”…in his ear…
When Timmeh & Buchanan make you crazy, you can switch over to the E! network and watch “50 Most Shocking Confessions.” I find it a soothing alternative.
Bushco/Cheneyco go-to-guy with kneepads.
Oh, gawd, spare me…
Hillary could win big tonight, but tomorrow, no one would give her money. That’s the reality.
Now that sounds a whole lot better than the junk they’re talking about on tv
Timmeh says that whoever captures the headlines captures the vote in Indiana.
HOW INSULTING!
yup
Good Point.
Dick Cheney Controls Tim Russert
He’s really going out on a limb there. /snark
Spin, spin, spin. Terry McCauliffe (for Clintol): “this is a big win tonight” (how does he even know what the vote totals will be?)
53/47
What did you expect? Isn’t it a flyover state? Part of the “great square middle?”
McCaulife…HRC has won the popular vote…
Now, he’s clarifying…counting Florida and Michigan.
And Timmah is going to make sure to say “Hillary!!!!!” every 5 seconds to make sure her name is said enough to give the appearance she’s capturing the headlines. See?
What? Has he written a book about Pennsylvania?
kiar liar,pants on fire
Manchurian Anchor?
hahahahahaah
I absolutely hate this…gonna watch a movie…
okay dummies on all around
Terry McCauliffe is a putz. If she doesn’t win by a freaking landslide she’s pretty much lost. They were talking about 20+ points not all that long ago.
ya me too
Take a look at “A Drinking Life” by Pete Hamill. No higher power, no whining, just put it down. When you find out you don’t really change, that’s when it gets interesting.
“Being sober doesn’t make life better
you just live it with more lucidity”.
TERRY GLOBAL CROSSING MCAULIFF
It’s true….sometimes we really can learn a lot from a dummy. ;-)
SCINE..channel…Who killed the electric car….on right now….DishTV
i like the 4% spread … is that holding up (just getting back online).
Terry is spinning so hard that he’s struck Oil …
Maybe she can now concede gracefully.
Exit polls — whether run by campaigns, media outfits, or non-partisan polling operations — all run by the same basic mechanism. The pollsters identify a number of precincts that they believe will represent a good snapshot of the electorate as a whole. They send pollsters to those precincts, and tell them to try to interview a certain number of voters selected at random (something like “after you finish with one person, skip the next nine voters to leave and interview the 10th”). These numbers get reported back a couple of times during the day, and the number-crunchers do their thing to tally up the results.
This gives you the first slice at the pie.
Once the polls close, the number-crunchers take a second whack at things. The first thing they will do is compare the actual number of voters in their key precincts with the numbers they estimated would vote there. If the actual numbers were off — for example, they predicted a 30% urban, 40% suburban, 30% rural mix, but actual voter turnout was 35%, 35%, and 30% — then their second slice of the data will be changed to reflect the turnout.
As actual vote results come in, the number crunchers take a third whack at it. They check their predictions at the precinct level against the actual returns in that precinct, and once more adjust their statewide prediction accordingly.
And even then, they might be wrong.
It’s a system with a lot of statistical validity to it, but reporters who don’t understand the system often put way to much credence in early numbers. Good pollsters know what can skew their results, and take great pains to make the limits of their predictions clear to their clients. What the media talking heads do with those predictions, however, is out of their control.
LOL
That is my thought.
Sadly, no. Winners don’t concede.
Fineman was on Charlie Rose last night discussing the important moments in the campaign, the Reverend Wright, the flag lapel pin, etc. It’s a good thing that the economy is doing so well, the country is at peace, and that there are no existential threats like global warming or peak energy on the horizon. Otherwise we would be in deep s***.
After McAuliffe, Chocolate Martinis all around …
just wanna say I haven’t given much up over the years, but I am not a martini-guy. now back to the important stuff …
How long has it been since MSNBC declared Clinton the winner, and Chuck Todd still won’t go on the air? Betcha he’s crunching some numbers still.
I wish ill on Joe Scarborough. How come he never went to jail for that dead intern, huh?
Yup – I’ll sign up for one (or two) of those – with garlic olives, please!
3%?? Hilary wins? Okay – long night!
Touche !
I watch MSNBC for Keith and Rachel, and I sometimes find Tweety and even Buchanan amusing (not for the reasons they may think they are), but would somebody PLEASE,PLEASE turn off Joe Scar’s microphone?
yum!
Timmeh says that whoever captures the headlines captures the vote in Indiana.
HOW INSULTING!
Nah – trust me. 19 out of 20 people in Indiana have no idea who Timmeh is.
Hell – I’m not even sure that Indiana (quite possibly the most red state in the entire country) knows who Obama and Clinton are….
Please pardon me while I go kick something.
problem is that the nyt is also so slow to show up to date counts … drives me to cnn and msnbc, which ain’t pretty …
Chuck up
I can’t handle martinis, but I’m doing my best to keep up with a beer.
Chuck Baby is up now …
Per Ambinder
IMPOSSIBLE FOR OBAMA TO LOSE HIS LEAD
Why do I hear the sound of Jim Nabors voice? Beautiful state, by the way.
I had a lychee martini recently. It was sublime.
The white guys media club is spinnin’ like mad for Hillary…the horserace lives!!!! Bonuses for evrabody…they can keep the ad coin pourin’ in thru at least two more primaries.
Wipe the spittle from yer chin boys…er, um, that is spittle, isn’t it?
((( Jayt )))
Which is far better than the reverse.
Only 408 remaining pledged delegates to be awarded after tonite, per Todd.
Hell, I’m just following the thread and readin’ a book. Me gettin’ excited an’ shit ain’t gonna change nothin’. Sheesh, spell ‘n grammer cheker must be broke.
Exactly. We’re so lucky to have them to keep the REAL issues in the forefront for us Hugh! Spit.
With 6.76% in,
Clinton 114, 408 55.2%
Obama 92,806 44.8%
?
I had one of them once, quite delightful.
hey hey
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wi…..uman12.jpg
She cannot overtake Obama. She has lost the nomination tonight.
With as much time these a holes spend on their knees licking the boots of the status quo elites your question on whether or not it’s spittle dripping down their chin is fair.
cnn showing a 6% spread. that’s ok w/ me — anything under double digits pretty much wraps it up. superdels should be able to count, at least the money in the bank …
((((( Fern )))))
Sounds great … my fav martini is Green Apple Martini … strangely, after 3 they all become my favorite … *g*
14% in…
Clinton 53%
Obama 47%
because they would shit their pants if a grass roots guy wins….period
I don’t know. I think she pretty much lost it on Super Tuesday.
Hillary sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
Is there any particular reason why we can’t have a national primary day after oh, say, 3 to 4 debates? It would certainly be less painful…
Was that deuce point or douche point, Timmeh?
Why don’t these bobbleheads listen to Chuck Todd? Clinton cannot overtake Obama. She has lost the nomination tonight – - unless she steals it.
Timmeh talking tennis and saying this is deuce. That shows how much he either doesn’t know tennis or doesn’t know elections.
What he doesn’t know could fill a football stadium.
Which is the headlight of an oncoming train.
me too…i do loves me some Cosmos too
will do.
I refuse to define myself, only, as an alcoholic.
Yeah, that’s in there – I freely admit it – but I’m a whole hell of a lot of other things too. That particular fault will never define me.
Fuck ‘em all. I’ll take care of it….
Looks like Obama could win by losing and Hillary could lose by winning – with a spread like that…
Tightening up.
It seems to be the reverse of some of the other primaries where Obama was initially leading and then it tightened up and…well, you know.
Is it me or is Timmah turning into an evil looking gnome? I’m telling you right now…neoconism has not been good for Timmah’s face. That’s all I’m saying!
According to the ABC local TV station site, John McCain is only pulling 74 percent.
I’m rooting for Ron Paul, currently at 15 percent…(how many of those votes will McCain get in the general?)
*g*
Cosmos!
Appletinis!
Beer ‘n’ a shot!
9:24 pm ET:
Clinton 53%
Obama 47%
with 15% of the votes tallied.
Updated above…
nyt shows 0 votes from lackawanna county … one of my favorite places … might be some vote adjustments going on there now …
http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/fe…..#PRESIDENT
If she can’t win and he can’t win without winning Indiana then what the fuck?
TRUMAN BEATS DEWEY
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wi…..uman12.jpg
B.I.N.G.O
Exactly Fern. It’s all making sense now. LOL Hell, we’re all gonna win tonight at this rate!
Yea its all good
Damn right man, screw that stuff.
Precisely!
If you had ten candidates on the Democratic side, and the person at the top captured just 15% of the vote, would you want that person to be the nominee?
A national primary sounds simple, but things get complicated once you start trying to figure out the details.
Beer and a shot here.
Evening everyone! I tried, really I did. But the talking heads are annoying me to the point that I was afraid I’d throw a shoe at the teevee. So instead I’m here following the story, and watching to see who’ll get the boot on Dancing With The Stars. Sparkly, twirly dresses on the gals, pretty boys in tight pants. What’s not to like?
She’s turning a corner tonight…
OMG like others before have mentioned, Tweety is making sense tonight. How can that be?
Britt Hume on Faux just said that Obama can’t win the because America is racist.
Faux News: Jes waitin to cawl in da Klan!!
Here Teddy. Everything you need.
People here are WAY too critical.
No argument there … Cosmos are heavenly …
Could be….that would make huge news…that’s what they want to happen…
This sounds so contrived…
I agree, maybe we should start a campaign to get him off NBC
Ha ha, I thought I was the only catty one noticing the disproportionate head to body ratio. That is, after I wondered aloud: “has she had plastic surgery?” Beats talking about Tweety.
my fave to all
http://iamyourmom.files.wordpr…..#038;h=372
Tweety: “Mulligan after mulligan after mulligan…”
Oh yeah?!?!
If you think about it, he looks a bit like that Georgian politician the Russians poisoned. Maybe somebody can do side-by-side photos.
The discussion between Matthews, KO and Russert was absolutely the worst political reporting I have ever heard.
It was really horrible.
You just reminded me that the final episode of The Real Housewives of New York City is on tonight at 10pm! Much more interesting than what I’e watched tonight on MSNBC.
and I do have to say that the long primary has clarified a number of things for me. my opnions of the candidates have changed *a lot* since the start. I would have voted very differently in the CO caucus had it happened on a national primary day. For good or ill …
Late to the party as usual -skimming – stopped short by jayt:
LOL, jayt. How old are you? Back when I was a mere IU frosh in the dark ages, when RFK and Clean Gene were running for the Dem nomination, I assumed Indiana was important. Was I just clueless then? I don’t recall knowing much about the electoral college and delegate counts then…
must have …le Cointreauuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Doghouse Riley knows what Timmeh looks like… And you should see what he has to say about Bobo…
hundred monkey’s principal? even a broken clock is right twice a day?
Ha, I knew someone would jump ugly!
taking a break with Hell’s Kitchen … would love to see Joe S and Harold Ford get a little Ramsey treatment!

Sorry, I’m on a juice fast and that is as hard core as I can get
Peppermint Schnapps on the way …
Maybe she’s going for that Nancy Regan “my head is a helium balloon” look.
Those appletinis sound delish, may I?
If Obama can stay within 6% that’s a great night for him.
McCauliff was having a coronary on Headline News. “We won’t quit no matter what!!”
No, Terry, the party was never your first concern, was it?
Bombs Away, Hillary!!!
You mean the guy who had dioxin poisoning? OMG he does look like that guy! Or maybe an apple slowly shriveling up and browning? Not sure now. Could be a combo of both.
hahahahahahaha,just choked down the wine
Every time racist Pat sez “Obama can’t win Pennsylvania!” I want to say, “But Hillary can’t win Philadelphia!”
These arguments make no sense, except to paint our eventual nominee as a LOSER.
39% reporting Philadelphia:
57% Obama
43% Hillary
[SIGH] You’re right… I’m just suffering from primary/circular firing squad overload.
Ever had that citron vodka chased by a slice of lemon dipped in sugar…wowee…mmmmmm..
Just don’t put them on Project Runway.
Raven, you know the Indiana state parks?
This australian beer is really strong…
Might not make to the austrian beer that is also in the fridge.
We aim to please.
*g*
Lychee martini’s? Yum, please share recipe. (Is “recipe” the right word for a cocktail?”
If Hillary is the nominee, I’m not voting for the first time in my life. She is a Republican.
Thank you, thank you…mmmmm….warm…
ohhhhhhhh Lemondrops…im the queen of Lemondrops
Pennsylvania Department of State:
With 18.07% in,
Clinton 258,261 51.2%
Obama 245,817 48.8%
Pat is such an ass.
You’re right Teddy…
HOUSTONS makes the best Lemondrops bar none….
I don’t want to wish ill on anyone, but an on-air Buchanan stroke would be delicious.
I was looking for a recipe myself – this was at a restaurant.
How can you take seriously a state where 11% of Republicans vote for Huckabee, the man dropped out months ago!
It’s the SUPREME COURT. Period.
We have to vote for whomever the dem. nominee is, like it or not.
I will vote for Obama is she’s the nominee. I can’t let her win.
Tightening up…tightening up…
I was just following the results here – on the prior thread – went upstairs about 10 minutes ago where I heard NPR discussing the Clinton win that everybody had called. Someone was saying that BO did not do as well as expected in the Philly suburbs and that he had a Reverend Wright and a bittergate problem that might not cost him the nomination. Are there enough results to know how the suburbs are coming in – nevermind why?
and he is UNINSULTABLE…he enjoys the role, should try out for Midsummers night dream..”g”
If possible at all it would have to be done with rank-choice voting, where you get to vote for a first choice, a second choice, etc. If your first choice is the lowest vote getter, that person is dropped and their voters’ second choices are counted. Etc. Repeat until someone has an actual majority.
Serious number crunching, though. Would require a ballot counting system that actually works. We may not be an advanced enough country for it. /snark
Hell yes, I’m from Urbana. We used to cruise the covered bridge festival, saw Johnny WInter at Wabash College, camped at Brown County, played ball with Mellencamp’s little league catcher. In fact, in the days you are talking about you could get life for one joint in Hoosierville!
Oh lord! what an image!
I’m in hotel hell in Mexico City with no MSNBC. Even the BBC is idiotic. Gawd help me, Glen Beck just said that Earth Day is killing more trees than it plants because of all its advertising. Glenn Beck???!!! That’s what I’ve got to look forward to tonight??
My God My God, why have You foraken me?
That…is the truth.
I’m with you Teddy. He looks like he’s about to pop a vein. . . . .
She’s turning a corner tonight…
yeah, she’s claimed a stake to the “stupid” vote.
My most hearty congratulations..
give it time, the primary isn’t over and we still have the ge to look forward to
For an administration whose Attorney General wouldn’t intervene in Florida to stop the rioting thugs in 2000, these Clinton supporters sure want to be thought of as “fighters”
That Guy @230 – it’s not better to have Hilary then McCain?
cnn showing obama taking pittsburgh as well as philly … and dear scranton going for clinton by 3 to 1
Absolument !
hahahahahahaha
and he gets paid 10,000,000.00 per year
Bwahahahahaha
TWICE AS MUCH AS TWEETS
but they can promise to obliterate Iran … what more do you want?
Pat Buchanan must have received his talking points from Rove (or from Terry McCaulliffe), he just will not get off the line that the Democrats must nominate Clinton because Obama can’t win the general because he didn’t win the big states in the primaries…
Former errand boy for Richard Nixon…
Heh. Ron Paul at 17% and Shucksabee at 10%.
you are not forsaken. You are with friends at the Lake.
SF, which has ranked choice voting, is having a hard time getting voting machine manufacturers to certify their machines for ranked choice. Which shows you how important ranked choice is to democracy, if the vote machine makers oppose it!
He’s been doing that for weeks, so has asshole Joe.
hahahahahaahahaha
Tomorrow is gonna be really in-te-rest-ing…
From Drinksmixer.com …
Lychee Martini recipe

A Clinton win in November will be the George Bush I second term he never had.
Pennsylvania Department of State:

That’s the tell.
No wonder the good ol’ boys media club want to keep shrilling HIll.
Yes.
(I thought he looked weird, too)
I’ve hit my personal wall, and can’t take it any more. I’ll find out who won tomorrow. I think I’ll pop in my DVD of Dexter and watch the next episode. See y’all on the other side of all this.
Noron is earning her name again.
I appreciate the sentiment, but I look at it this way. Whom do the Republicans most despise? And how hard have they worked the past 8 years to create an omnipotent Presidency beyond all legal, constitutional, ethical and moral constraints?
If she’s the nominee and I’m having trouble finding reasons to vote for her, there’s still going to be the one of handing the abomination they’ve created over to the one they despise the most.
Limoncello? Oh, gawd, I’ve died and gone to heaven….
Everyone must make a point to watch the movie, “Who Killed the Electric Car”….must, must, must…find it, rent it, something….
OMFG.
Same here. I came down to the country house today to hole up and write a conference paper that’s due Friday. Decided after dinner to take just a little peak at the TEEVEE, as I had promised myself not to break my writing by going to the net (oh well). CNN was worse than I imagined from what I’ve read and elsewhere on it. I don’t watch it for news, just for the cooking shows and occasional sports. The news is like Macdonald’s hamburgers. Every now and then you think they might be good, and then you try one and retch. I’m retching.
These “who will you vote for if your choice isn’t the nominee” questions are IDIOTIC in the middle of a hard-fought nomination campaign.
If I didn’t think MSNBC was fair and balanced, I might accuse them of trying to harden voters’ attitudes with these stupid questions….
Did she rush over from a Cocktail Party ?
Mexico City is a pretty amazing place-it’s the biggest city I have ever seen. Where do they get their water?? Amazing.
The drivers are crazy but the people are wonderful. I like it.
Just wish I could get MSNBC.
Oh, about those UFOs-only saw T-storms tonight.
Oh, and so’s Bill Bennett
Jeez!
wow. sucks. hang here with us. less vomit inducing
Wow, orange spiced white tea with lavender infused vodka is quite tasty.
see ya Marion, good luck staying away ;)
Hey Hugh! thanks for these numbers!
Noron is preggers? She looks GOOD (if ya ignore those 360 degree eyes)
Sorry – straight male busting through….
I’ll be back to form in a moment.
I’ve got a lovely 2004 Old Vine Zinfandel from Ravenswood. Makes the election go down easier.
But every self-respecting limoncello sipper knows you keep it in the freezer, not the refrigerator.
…but Soledad is lookin’ pretty good tonight…
Much better with the volume down. Almost like Oscar Nite.
;~P
i haven’t been to mexico city in a long time … keep trying to find an excuse to go back …
Wow…
Bogle Vineyards does a pretty good Old Vine Zin, too.
She recently had twins.
Almond Joy Martini
Shake 1 oz. each of coconut-flavored rum (Parrot Bay or Malibu), Frangelico (if you don’t feel like a nut, leave the Frangelico out), Godiva (or other chocolate-flavored liqueur), Hershey’s chocolate syrup (dark), and vodka. Add 4 oz. of half and half or light cream, shake with ice, then strain into a chilled glass.
best drinks I’ve had recently were both in San Fran … the green tea mojito at Osha Thai, a Bicyclette at Slow Club (elderflower liquor with prosseco) and the organic raw mojito at Cafe Gratitude was yummy too … sigh
nothing quite as close here at home
And full of toxic chemicals…
Haven’t been to Olangopo City in over twenty years. Glad I don’t have a reason to go back.
did find it, watched it and then donated it to my local public library with a lot of kudos.
:::)
Note to KO: This issue is NOT the margin of victory, the issue is how many delegates each candidate wins. Why is this hard for you to understand?
“Olongapo”… too many cereal malt beverages.
Well said, I agree wholeheartedly.
CBS news had a poll on voters who would go to McCain if their favorite didn’t get the nod. Obama supporters would go at about 25%, but Hillary supporters were almost half. I cannot fathom it.
I think it is the biggest city in the world….
Maybe it’s the company he keeps…
Especially when the laid-in green-tea-mojito ingredients in the liquor cabinet get drunk up!
it seems to me i remember reading somewhere that they slurp it from the aquifer below the city at a rate higher than it replenishes. as a result mexico city is sinking a lot each year. cannot remember the details.
that is a tight race…wow
Take some vodka, add some lavender blooms and lemon balm and you have a vodka like no other.
Nope. Jakarta Indonesia is larger.
It is all BS…smoke and mirrors…the “powers that be” control the airwaves…
I am so sick of hearing Democrat when proper English is Democratic…Brian Williams just did it. So disrespectful.
cafe gratitude … yum ….
new thread upstairs
laughing … so very true! would get a lock but she’s moving to Cali so I’ll visit and steal hers!
Really…Wow..
Maybe that’s the part of her support for whom prosecuting the war is especially important, and other things much less so?
pretty amazing … it was new to me and what a joy!
Do they have to be fresh? the leaves and flowers I mean.
more threadiness upstairs
I’m confused. But I did send Hillary $5. just because Timmeh not to. Jackass. And Mrs. Greenspan is the Jackesse of Asses.
