The Allman Brothers Band with Dreams. Unforgettable guitar solo by Derek Trucks in this video shot at the Beacon Theatre March 25 & 26, 2003. Turn. It. Up.
I’m filling in for Eureka Springs tonight and ask that ya’ll join me in sending his computer warm, positive, healing thoughts.
As Eureka might say: What are your dreams of tonight?

Dang, two zeds I notched with Suz as the poster…! ;-)
Eureka!
Third?
Obama/Dean
Pass it on…
Damn! I got caught up reading EW’s earlier posts and missed by, oh, the length of one of Kirk’s essays.
I dreaming of orange jump suits for Shrub and Darth… A perp walk would be icing…!
I shall always posit that Elizabeth Reed was one hell of a lady!
dugg
evening all:>)
Ooh, that sux… Poor ES! 8-(
I’m dreaming of better news coverage on the radio. The good news is that our local public radio station (Hawaii Public Radio) is ADDING news staff this year.
Bob in HI
and statesboro is one hella shade of blue
Obama/Dean
Enthusiastically seconded.
g’evening pups. how’s everyone doing tonight?
Suzanne!
Nice tunes. And your place is a feast!
can’t.stop.laughing
(til I reach 1500 chuckles)
i do try to find prime ear candy newton. thanks
My dreams. They were going to be OK until I saw that freaky globular light show behind the band in the video clip. That’s gross and disgusting and gonna make me have nightmares!
That’s great news, Bob! Aloha, btw…! May 3rd is rapidly approaching, eh?
Elizabeth Reed rocks …
OK Suz just what is exactly wrong with ES’s computer? the doctor wants to know?
I’m watching Bobo make an ass of himself again on the Newshour…!
sorry, it brought back fond memories of shows i saw back in the day when i was wearing love beads…
one word:
mac
Yeah, but that was back when we were, uh, not sober. Tonight I am sober and that is scary.
In my deepest dreams, I hear the distant thunder of marching frogs…
Then I wake up and realize that the only thing standing between BushCo and prosecution is their current address. Up to this point the power of the President to pardon has gone pretty much untested. This is the first time in our history when the question has arisen as to if the President can pardon someone for war crimes. Can the P{resident pardon someone for crimes in which hs was personally involved? Can the President pardon himself for something that is a crime under international law?
Inquiring street musicians want to know…
my personal fave allman bros song – One Way Out

Passengers in my car just love it when that one comes on – I sound *so* good singing along…
get yer own damn car!!
I told you so they are not invincible!
Looks like a job for Newtonusr!!!! Go Newton go
Girl, that was cold. But I see you’re feeding nahant big fat pitches down the middle, so I will stand aside :-)
oh i crank that one loud enough that no one can hear me singing
Suz, the Statesboro Blues do rock! We watched “1968 the Year That Changed Evey thing” last night, I’m going into nostalgia overload!!
I loves Dr. Dean but have been hoping Barack might give John Edwards first dibs for VP.
Heh, I knew you would chime in…! Bwhahaha….!
I’m so glad you are still around to catch that. I was worried you had walked away. BTW, I finally got why you asked about the garden. You do know what I look like, yes? Click on the facebook thingy and see that your assumption is correct.
passed ball???
*blowing smoke off fingers*
big smile
Agreed, npb.
Plus, I like the good Doctor right where he is.
That reminded me of a little girl I used to babysit. Her daddy was a “professional light show DJ.” She said she didn’t mind not having a TV, cause her dad’s light shows were better than TV.
Yes…the mom was the breadwinner.
Hey, NPB! Edwards looked great on Colbert last nite…!
the question has arisen as to if the President can pardon someone for war crimes. Can the P{resident pardon someone for crimes in which hs was personally involved? Can the President pardon himself for something that is a crime under international law?
Luckily, these questions have never arisen before. No precedents.
he forking rocked! *big sigh*
was that PBS? if so, it should be showing up around here soon.
I loves Dr. Dean but have been hoping Barack might give John Edwards first dibs for VP.
Oh yeah – I could live with that real easily – though I’m thinking he might be better placed elsewhere – perhaps at Justice, or as a member of The Supremes…
First and foremost, the Prez can’t pardon himself… Irregardless, that’s why it took Ford’s pen to pardon Tricky Dick…
Here it is! The Year that changed Everything! No Kidding…
whipping post
Well, I am going to try to go to sleep, despite the light show. It should be a good gardening day tomorrow for all of us garden gnomes.
sweet, thanks
A decision (to pardon someone as yet uncharged with a crime) that was never reviewed for legality or Constitutionality, I might add.
oh Gnome I loved your pic from the first time i saw it on FB – and loved your handle since i first read it…
sorry for absence – just juggling weekly beef (on bbq) with lake’s cooling waters…
(and those scary clamshells)
sleep well garden gnome
Hah!
First and foremost, the Prez can’t pardon himself
Not really sure about that, though it’s true that no one has ever had the gall to try it.
Georgie? Well, if nothing else, ya gotta admit that the man’s got a lot of goddamned gall…
And he has no shame!
Aloha, Gnome…
Here’s my favorite Allman tune…
irregardless is not a word :)
veering slightly away musically – Just go ahead and lie to me…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DayCrQWJXuI
I could foresee him stepping down Jan. 19th for Darth, after issuing Darth’s pardon, hence Darth penning his…
Just watched the Colbert – repeat and was pleased how rested Edwards looks – Mr.Brat hopes Obama taps him for his cabinet. Stop my pounding heart. ;~)
dood, that’s arlo, not allman
Regardless… 8-P
My interest in Dean as VP is to add a certain level of security to the top of the ticket that only he can provide. No right wing nut job would consider doing Obama any harm if Dean would be the one replacing him. Having lived through the political hits in the 60’s, I’m not naive that the first black Presideny of the United States ain’t ripe for an Oswald or a McVeigh. President Obama needs a Dan Quayle, someone who would be the right wing’s worst nightmare…
Dean is ready to be President on Day One. When we need someone to watch the President’s back, no other Democrat comes close.
Obama/Dean
We can do this…
What’s on my mind tonight? Good things, two of them. I) According to Dr. Hillhouse, the DoD secret-police agency, CIFA, is being defunded, and, 2), you know how frustrating it is, as activists, to keep one’s spirits up, when it feels like nothing is being accomplished? Well-be of good cheer. Protesting works, according to those DFH’s at the US Navy…I pulled together the salient parts here.
We only lose if we quit.
And he has no shame!
I was gonna start listing all the other things Bush doesn’t have, but I have a big trial on May 1, and I might not be finished with the list by then…
rack em up
I love that guy’s voice. He sounded good at such a young age, and he still sounds good.
Although not thrilled with the grisly thought process that got you (and me) there, i agree with the result.
Dean: scares the shit out of the Goopers, and ready on day one. Indeed.
I could foresee him stepping down Jan. 19th for Darth, after issuing Darth’s pardon, hence Darth penning his
Yup.
Did I mention that the man’s got a lot of goddamned gall?
Whoa… How’d that happen… here’s the one

They may be Texans (I mean the people of Texas), but they hate a disgrace on their state.
Chimpy would never, ever be welcomed back there.
where do ya think he would go?
Connecticut.
Paraguay
somewhere out there is a really sweet version of Opposites Attract that he did with Susan Tedeschi – but I can’t find it (growling – but just a little)
excellent choice ct
Paraguay!
Don’t be so sure – we have plenty of crazies here, including the forker with the “I support waterboarding” on his gas guzzler.
i always was a sucker for this
Sweet dreams Gnome. Howie has good news over on Crooks & Liar – on Monday at 3 PM Pacific he will welcome John Cusack on his brand new film WAR INC. Check it out and digg.
Heh, Neuro beat me again…!
(just back from bbq)
sleep well, gnome. may you have all the hands you need to lie down for sleep … and to get up the next morning…
OK, now I am off to bed. Maybe.
I had to check to see if Kirk came back. I wanna know why isn’t he a vegetarian.
(in my best John Cleese voice) And now for something totally different… –

Hee hee, I have a NEW computer, a nice, pretty MacBook Pro.
happy passover to all our jewish friends.
Goodnight, Gnome!
Congrats, dude. You’re gonna fuckin’ love it.
he’s back (look up)
way forking kewl, that guy
Hey, someone signed me up for McSame’s mailing list… …how sweet. Those right-wingers at work sure are somethin!
hey yellowdogjim
Well stated and Dean wouldn’t wig out MSM nearly as much as Edwards being a heart-beat away from the Oval Office.
after ya figure out the who, what retaliatory sign up are you looking at for the payback?
Thanks for helping Betsy out. That was a wonderful thing you did. You want to come to my house now? there’s dust bunnies under my sofa, too.
J, my partner got one when she left Apple. Mine is faster. :-D
I want to start using it as my main box, because the G5 is just kinda slow for work, and I’m trying to reduce clutter. It’s amazing fast and it’ll be even faster Monday when my Ram upgrade gets here. maxed out!
It’s fairly blinding as it is.
You’ll dig it…I loved mine, right up till the “catastrophic hard-drive failure” I had last week. The tech called me up: “I have good news and bad news. The bad news is , you’ve had a catastrophic hard-drive failure, and your data is unrecoverable. The good news is, the hardware fix is covered by warranty.” I had it back in 48 hours…but I’m not as trusting as I was a few months ago.
agreed, ydj, that was a good thing you did
Are you getting Logic for it? It absolutely screams on the Intel boxes.
I think the MSM would go berserk over Obam/Dean. “The Dreamer and The Screamer.” But talk about igniting the base?…
Ron, let this be a lesson – you HAVE to back up. There just isn’t any way around it. I’m totally paranoid about that stuff now. I usually replace hard drives before they go bad. If it’s got more than three years, I back up weekly. If it’s to four years, away it goes. I can’t afford to lose data.
Wow – great question…esp since I came to EarthFirst! (by then very much vegan, despite thier roots in hunter/fisher folk) through their work to keep trees vertical…shading the headwaters of the waters I (tried) to pluck salmon/steelhead from.
Sure tried to be a vegan (and on either side, a vegetarian)…but just did not experience health with same. No matter how I tried to supplement (and for the first few years, didn’t even bother – didn’t think it was needed, so I don’t think this is placebo), my bod just didn’t feel OK..nor did I.
Out of courtesy, I would eat “holiday” meals even if non-veggie/vegan (hey, I’d only started veggie/vegan in my late 30’s). To my surprise, noticed a big reversal in feeling crappy when I reintroduced fish (1-2 x/week) and meat (1 x/ week).
Wish I didn’t seem to require sentient critters to feel OK…but despite working with supplements/ traditional healers / excellent Traditional Chinese Medicine faculty, that appears to be the case.
Sadly, none of those folk spared me from failing to switch the propane tanks tonight. Gotta check to see if the ceramic “rocks” cooked the meat.
Happy gardens, Gnome!
I’m a Pro Tools guy, have been for almost 10 years. We made our record on my old G4 with a Didi 001. Did the initial post-prod on the G5 before the HDD was sent to Tennessee for mixing and mastering. I’ll stick with Pro Tools.
I think Edwards would help Obama more, particularly in the South…!
Oh, I like her too. I’ll have to look for that.
Didn’t Edwards already rule out a VP run? I would love to see him as AG.
No shame at all in that!
I just installed Logic and am learning it, so I’m no expert on what works.
I think it was actually someone who (for SOME reason) thinks I signed them up for http://republicansforobama.org/?q=homepage…
I sent this email to the two most likely culprits…
that is one of my favorite songs derek does with susan. they forking rock
even better! (wicked evil laugh)
wish I’d been at this show – I mean, what’s more natural than seeing Levon Helm hook up with Clarence Clemons? Or not. Good stuff, anyway…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..re=related
I’d love to see Fitz as AG, and Valerie Wilson as DCI
The question is, if I actually DID sign up, and made some “informative” calls on McSames behalf, would it be evil, or illegal?
jayt, looks like you missed one hella party
Thanks for the info Kirk. That makes sense. This gnome has had similar issues. Now I am really leaving. I had to watch the John Edwards clip from last night. I love what he does, I just can’t stand his accent!
Because evil I am totally OK with at this point…
…illegal gets a little tougher for me.
Oh, and good night RonD. Sorry about your hard drive. I lost mine last summer. I was not happy either.
John Dean sort of disagrees:
probably safer to err on the side of caution in that regard.
but i bet your guilty workmate is cringing at the thought that you would really do it.
that’s the hope!
G’night all.
Edwards might help in the south, Biden could help in the Midwest. Richardson could help in the south and west. Dean could help keep President Obama alive long enough to finish two terms.
Tough choices, I know.
fork, thanks wigwam.
our only forking hope is that nancy sets the forking table – otherwise, the forker is going to forking pardon his entire administration
g’nite smgumby
We recorded in our drummer’s upstairs room. Not much budget for recording. Guest artists and mixing/mastering is where the money went.
You are correct – I had forgotten Edwards or a spokesperson signaled he wasn’t interested in VP. Whoever becomes AG I hope Patrick Fitzgerald is tapped to finish the great job prosecuting the Bush/Cheney criminal cartel.
exactly! that is what fitz does best.
How ’bout Scott Horton for AG?
1) it was my birthday gift to her.
2) she’s so sweet; it’s easy to help betsy.
3) i learned about passover.
4) i was being/being allowed to be a better buddhist than usual.
5) i enjoy folks being progressively devout in their faith traditions.
6) the physical exercise involved won’t hurt me and it is impossible for her.
i’ll get to y’all’s place as soon as i get done with ours.

Hope you get the front page fixed soon…
jayt, looks like you missed one hella party
Here’s what I missed, and I’m still mad as a hornet. The Boss was in town a couple of weeks ago, and i didn’t even know it – that’s what I get, I guess, for not reading the local rag or having a decent radio station around here…

g’nite astral. fingers and toes crossed they fix it soon
A few days ago, LHP said that Bush could be impeached after he leaves office. Does anyone know whether that’s correct. Sounds wrong to me.
it was an accident!
/comedy
the forker is going to forking pardon his entire administration
Oh, I’d say that he’s definitely gonna do *that*. I’ve never doubted it.
Well, impeachment would preclude pardons… And I still think a Prez can’t pardon oneself…!
Some friends of mine, from about a year ago-
Wall of Echoes-Breathe
Dean mentioned that during one of his visits here… In fact he said that was one of the failures of Congress back in his heyday with Nixon, to continue the impeachment after he’d resigned…!
i so slow:
hi, sweet suz.
saw where you’ll be sleeping.
no more crumbs.
has betsy been talking about me?
sorry, pups, the pig was playing James Mc
is singing praises considered talking?
Impeachment after resignation, now THAT is a wish to build a dream on…
zzzzzzz…
fork, it ate the rest of my comment
was about james mcmurtry’s choctaw bingo, dancing around the living room, and wishing there was a blasted utube of that song
Funny how we don’t hear Cindy McCain talked about as a ‘millionairess’ with many houses the way we heard about Theresa Heinz Kerry.
Shocking…..
-G
Very interesting and encouraging.
but if mrs obama had stole drugs from a charity and plagiarized recipes we certainly would have…
ok, hi pups, drive by–tryin; to catch up on email, now goin to bed, is late here…
saw dreams, couldn’t resist, then saw it was suzanne’s dream post, knew it had to be allman bros, second on my list behind pete t.
first thought, go pull up delbert-i’ve got dreams to remember, then thought, nooooooooooo.
the best dreams song is–
john lennon dream #9
pick your favorite, i’m on dial up and couldn’t pick which one, i would choose about 4 of them.
this song takes me to a wonderful place. always has, always will. nite pups.

, the forker is going to forking pardon his entire administration
On the other hand and on the brighter side – wouldn’t mean a damned thing outside the United States. All countries which are signatories to the Geneva Conventions have not only the power, but the *duty*, I believe, to apprehend war criminals.
Enjoy your first post-pardon trip to Germany, folks…
Thanks wigwam…It stuck out like a neon light, saying, Honest analyst here.
All the children sing: SANCTIONS.
Hell.
nite, dmac. A song to sleep by….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hERot7SrVYo
for the lennon – your link took us to the search. i selected this one
That would be lovely because, per Article II Section 2:
But of course.
In the same light we are going to hear Obama have to defend shit his father wrote in the 60’s…..
Whereas talking about how the Iraq war was started is just rehashing old history.
-G
Heh, One of the points of continuing the process was to put a stake through the unitary executive notions that arose, the infamous ‘whatever the Prez does is legit’… The one a young Dick Cheney had harbored and later implemented…!
Nite dmac!
I doubted at the time that they were having any impact. But I’ve subsequently read that they had a major impact on both Johnson and Nixon.
i thought the hague was in the netherlands
It is…! ;-)
I’ve always believed the Founders just naturally assumed that a criminal President would be immediately impeached, thus, his ability to protect co-conspirators would automatically be limited.
No one could of foreseen Nancy taking impeachment off the table…..
i will accept the consequences:
tell Gnome that i found her spoons and they’re safe.
All the way to (forkin’) Memphis?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvarPF5zlUA
cool video too

here – that night iirc
holy shite jayt THE SMITHEREENE’S!!!!!! thanks.
thanks, suz, thought i was giving the ’pick one’ page for dream #9…..oh well…..
((margot))
dealingwith browser issues, took me four tries on dial-up to post this, so nite nite……..
and ct==those ’a’ words can get confusing, arlo, allman, it’s all good……and if you get a chance to see them, do.
enjoy the changing of the seasons….i am……….the wall has hit.
I’ve always believed the Founders just naturally assumed that a criminal President would be immediately impeached,
Founders never even considered that there might be a national Congress which did too *little* – they were scared shitless of just the opposite – thus the 10th Amendment and other safeguards to protect the powers of the individual states.
Who could ever have anticipated a Congress with no spine?
g’nite d’mac… i’m sorry if i confused ya – your link did take us to the pick one page – and i was showing ya which one i had picked…
Nite, dmac! I did see Greg Allman perform in Germany… ;-)
I hate this kind of shit. Here’s a headline from HuffPo
And here is what the article actually says:
I hate it when the headline writer doesn’t bother to read the article.
Heh, impeachment is the most often used phrase in the Constitution… Who’d a thunk…! ;-)
Fading fast…
Goodnight all. The best of all possible tomorrows to you all.
Fight the Power.
wishful thinking is not appropriate in a headline writer
g’nite rond
todayyesterday i heard on npr’s fresh air an interview with the makers/writers of a new movie that sends up the biopic genreAnd
the title character’s actor said that he watched a lot of documentaries about music stars:
he said he saw like 20 minutes of film of lennon and dylan chatting like regular dudes in the back seat of a taxi cab.
when do we get to see this?
please?
Aloha, Ron!
IIRC, you’re right. I think they call it: “Den Haag.”
But Germany is considering prosecution of U.S. war criminals under the doctrine of “univesal jurisdiction.”
nothing in the utubes?
sleep well, RonD
was this what you were talking about?
Jeez!
Magic woman!
Thanks Suz!
The latest AP poll states Obama 54% and Clinton 35%.

Heh, Queen of the UToobz…! ;-)
I didn’t know that. 2:30 in the morning, and I’ve already learned something new today.

Yep. Blockheads-R-Me.
I never learn!
did ya’ll see this in the news box?
Does the ‘Young at Heart’ count as teens…? ;-0
Well, I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!
actually, its just a matter of learning how the utube search goes and knowing what key words to type in. in that search, i typed in dylan lennon taxicab (in case it was taxi or cab in the description it would find it)
i need to do a lot more research.
npr should have some clues, maybe.
none of my lennon utoob searches has found it.
so far.

I love the line “I’m in love with a woman that don’t even appeal to me”.
So let me see: The OLC can claim ANYTHING is “within the law” and any reliance on that edict is defacto lawful?
There is something deeply flawed with that.
hey spidey. i’m listening to the radio

My only quibble is that the mix on all of the Sonia Dada YouTubes pretty much exclude the ultra-cool, ultra-deep voice of the Big Man…
AP is obviously misogynist.

The Bickford’s restaurant in Portsmouth NH that I have stopped at for more than ten years had a ‘closed until further notice’ sign in the window.
Lot’s of real estate signs on empty businesses too.

i like this sonia
There is something deeply flawed with that.
Seems to me that since the Supremes ruled a year or two ago that the U.S. is indeed bound by the terms of the Geneva Conventions, any unlawful act after that is subject to prosecution.
Supremes trump Yoo, even in this administration.
And the only difference between Abu and Mukasey is that Mukasey is at least willing to stand up and tell ya right to your face that he has no intention of enforcing the law…

we will all be on the history channel one day.
I truly don’t know who would make a better President – Senator Obama or Senator Clinton.
And I am predisposed against Senator Clinton because I consider her sneering, haughty candidacy a black mark on Democrats everywhere.
So this comes with a lot of bias attached… But has anyone else noticed a certain shallowness in the “enthusiasm” of the crowds at Senator Clinton’s mass appearances, compared to the appearances that Senator Obama is getting?
I think the polls (all of them) are wrong and I think PA is a dead-heat.

I don’t think it’s quite that simple, but IANAL.
Notice that Makasey said that the Justice Department wouldn’t prosecute. A person can be guilty as sin of a federal crime, but unless the Justice Department prosecutes, it makes no difference. He said that it’s not legal precedent. Rather it’s a practical matter. And from what I’ve read that is how the Justice Department has always operated.
But John McCain has gone ever further, writing that principle into Section 1004 of his Detainee Treatment Act:
LHP seemed to dismiss DTA Section 1004 on Monday but today seemed to be taking some part of DTA as granting some kind of immunity. I’ve posted a question for her about that at the end of an earlier thread today.

But John McCain has gone ever further, writing that principle into Section 1004 of his Detainee Treatment Act:

However, note the title of Sec. 1004:

It would be nice if the ostensible Vice President would endorse him at some point. In addition, as a former Senator he is a Superdelegate. His making an endorsement and critical announcement of his position as a Superdelegate might help a little in Pennsylvania. Obama’s doing well enough in John’s North Carolina that it’s unlikely to help there…but if he worked hard over the next few days in Pennsylvania, and then headed out to West Virginia it might help.
But I wonder if Edward’s is hedging his bets. That might make him largely irrelevant.

As far as I know NO executive has ever attempted to pardon themselves for crimes…not a President, nor a Governor, nor a King (at least of Britain). They’ve either ignored it, or faced the charges. But try to pardon themselves for crimes…not to my knowledge.
well no need of a flashlite tonight…everything was lit up like a church on the hill…saw a couple of rats, a skunk with his tail up looking like he might spray (that’s when I left) and the owl who parks in the big fir furthur up the hill let out a couple of hoots…today i saw a king snake so that means rattlers are not far behind : (

Excellent!
If I ever get indicted, I hope I am the Governor of Kentuckey.
Executive immunity is by no means confined to Kentucky – extends from the president all the way down to surprisingly low levels (although at the lower levels it wouldn’t be termed “executive”, merely a general immunity from prosecution from performing the activities of a government employee).
The only real caveat is that the actions being defended must be found to be “within the scope” of those official duties – though courts tend to absolutely twist themselves into knots, in the majority of cases, to find that those employees were in fact acting within the scope of employment.
is it down to just us chickens
Little Feat? Very, very nice. Breakin’ out the big guns, huh?

Another favorite of any and all passengers in the jayt car.
Some people never learn.

Suze you rawk. Little feat, AAW, warren. Makes this miserable cold a little more bearable. Nothing like waking up sick in the night, but thank goodness you’re rawking the lake.

have to baby myself, due to a toxic exposure at work years ago my lungs are unhappy with colds and do morph into pneumonia if i’m not careful. Hugs to baby girl … it is no darn fun.
You still planning on netroots? I’m definitely going.
depends on if the house sells or not and, if it does, when i’ll be moving. being double irish, my gut is telling me that i’ll be in the middle of moving during netroots or else in a world of hurt if the house hasn’t sold by then
newton and jayt, thanks. great picks.
Teh economy sucks. I really hope it works for you to be there.
nice find – liked that one.

Oh yea, we are taking two 7 years old girls on their first little fishing trip once the rain pushed through. Meanwhile you can watch a video if our new rescue and her buddy. Lil Bit
Norske, the eternal optimist. Keep on dreaming
I guess I missed most of the meat of this thread. I saw the Brother 3 times before Duane and Barry died just south of here. I have never been able to go back even though I know Derek Trucks is badass.
Thanks, Raven. Delightful.
Off do the bakery with the woofers, ya’ll have a good one.
Isn’t she sweet! Just about a year since we lost Raven. . .damn.
so I just woke up and I just figured out the world is not really round, it just appears to be round
oh wait, it doesn’t appear to be round it appears to be flat
well, appearances aren’t always deceiving and I am saying they are not in this case
what I am saying is that some “scientists” claim that if you go out far enough you will see that the world is round, i am saying that if you go out further you will not see the roundness anymore and that roundness from distance disappears from even further distance, in fact the entire planet disspears if you go out far enough so does that mean there is no planet simply because it disspears if you go out far enough?
no, it does not mean that, even though at distance the planet appears to dissapear that does not happen and even though at distance the planet appears round it is still flat
same thing going on there
I am also saying it’s not only flat but there are sides to the flatness, sort of like a cube only even more sides then a cube, say enough sides that at a certain distance the world might appear to be round to those who are uneducated
so god made a flat earth that looks round and he created mankind but it looks like mankind evolved instead of having been created
see?
this really really works, I know it does
let me guess perris, you are bored and waiting for the proper thread to post this revelation when it is on topic. right?
yes, that is exactly right
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins and Herbert day. La Collins attempts to explain Bush’s “goals” on the “issue” of global warming and uses an analogy. She titled her column “The Fat Bush Theory,” and asks us to imagine it’s 2025, and you’ve got a 486-pound ex-president being wheeled in to accept the congratulations on his excellent physical fitness program. Really, that’s big. Mr. Herbert writes about the “Road Map to Defeat.” He says instead of capitalizing on political advantages, the Democrats, with their increasingly small-minded approach to this election, are squandering them. Truer words were rarely written.

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I saw a recipe for, get ready, banana chocolate chip muffins I thought I’d try. I’ve got to start working so I can afford the birdseed the birds wolf down. Our newest visitor has been an indigo bunting. Have a great day.

speaking of dogs, mine would like to go out. he always asks so politely.
Good Morning everyone.
I have chocolate pizzelles, with fresh strawberries and whip cream as a Saturday morning treat.
Heh! I’ve posted the picture here, but the quote was Rangel commenting on Bush: “He pretty much shatters the myth of white supremacy once and for all.”
My eyes nearly bugged out of my head when I saw it. I saw one painted bunting last year, and he was amazing too.
Oh, YUMMM!!!
It was meant to be. I innocently walked into the grocery store, and all three happended to be sale.

Once again, this frat boy administration sinks to new lows.
Later in the article, Larry Wilkerson joins Andrew Sullivan in suggesting a very limited ex-US travel itinerary.

morning elliot.
jackie – i’d recommend coffee, but i don’t know if your morning routine includes caffeine
THANK YOU, Suzanne, for posting that vid. I haven’t been keeping up w/the ABB for, oh, the past 20 years, or so, but, WOW, that was SMOKIN’! Duane would’ve been proud of that kid, Derek. And his daddy would’ve had to have been proud, as well. The rest of us just get to listen, and enjoy.
OFF on my history – told you I hadn’t been keepin’ up – Derek’s UNCLE is still sitting behind the drum kit. My bad.
First tome commenting here, but i saw the video and had to sign up.
Saw them last summer at Boyne Mountain in Michigan and Derek Truck just blew us away. He is really a great guitar player. Very professional and smooth in concert.
northof55, welcome to the lake. glad you enjoyed the video – derek really is pretty awesome. he does tour with his wife, susan tedeschi, so look for her shows also.
