I had read about the Angela Merkel groping and the talking/chewing with the mic on episode; however, I had never seen video. My first reaction when I looked at the video stills is, “he’s drunk”. Has anyone heard of any speculation/rumor (from credible sources) that he may be drunk on these types of occasions?

I guess we won’t have Joe Klein writing a version of “Primary Colors” for this administration. It would be too sad, since it would have to include all the human tragedy unfolding around the Boy King. Although I’ll bet that Jane Hamsher could really do the whole criminal gang justice.

I started playing hoops at age 43, mostly in city parks, where you had to shoot up “first 5 / second 5″, so I worked on my charity stripe shot to where it’s now consistently between 80 and 90%. Got me in a lot of games.

I also play at some gyms where they do “1’s and 2’s to 15″ — where shots from beyond the arc are worth 2 instead of 1. I worked that shot up to better than 50% for a while (was goin’ out on Sunday afternoons and shoot around 300-400 attempts from beyond the arc).

I’m mostly an assist player though. And I play hard “D”, got the suture scars and ortho injuries to prove it.

well I’d never be able to shoot my way into those games.

the only thing worse than my defense is my free-throw shooting. and my perimeter shooting. and my move off the ball. I can set an OK screen.

Going to the meaningless final Warriors game tonight. How sad is it that a fun and exciting (albeit frustrating) 48-33 Western Conference team is excluded from the playoffs while five Eastern teams with worse records (as bad as 37-44) make it in?
