i was a John Edwards supporter. i would prefer to vote for Obama. however, anyone who will not vote for the
Democratic candidate this year does not have the best interests of this country at heart. they are petulant,
selfish and short-sighted.

LOL!!! Sure. I dislike her for a lot of reasons too. That you fail to see the difference between that and the hatred of her tells me two things:

1)You have not read the article linked to and ignored the content of the posts you responded to and then demanded I prove what I’m saying. Sure glad I didn’t go out of my way to comply with your demand as it’s clearly a waste of time.

2. Trollish behavior from people who don’t regularly behave that way usually means they’re feeling defensive for a reason and further conversation is also a waste of time, so I’ll just leave you to figure the rest out for yourself. A quick request to St Jude may be in order, but my energy is better spent elsewhere.

Second, I have been disappointed with Obama’s responses to Hillary and can think of many ways he could do it better…but that’s just me. But to say that means that I’m opening myself to attack from the Obamaniacs who would brook no critique as has happened before. As far as her dragging this out and hurting us, that’s also debatable and another issue totally created by the media. It’s also no reason to hate her.

like i said, we are taught to discriminate………… each ’ism’ is one twig on a big tree….

it’s how we are taught to make decisions.

discriminate used to be a good word. it has been turned into a bad practice.

discriminate-to distinguish; to select from.
To make a distinction.
Having the difference marked; distinct,

discrimination-Discernment; judgement; distinction.

let’s turn these words back into what our forefathers used them as–

choices we make based on intellect and wisdom. (and experience, which is a form of wisdom)

Look, the increasing dislike of HRC among Dems has more to do with her campaign than anything else, and that has been amplified over the last several weeks because it is patently obvious that – barring a meltdown of biblical proportions – she has no chance of winning the primary. None. And the longer she continues the Rovian smear tactics against the likely nominee, the more that frustration intensifies.

I’m sure Obama is a big boy and can handle it (and has done so beautifully, IMO), but the question is why should he have to? Why does HRC insist on dragging this charade out any longer, when to do so is of obvious benefit to the very people we seek to defeat?

Sexism is a very real issue and deserves serious discussion. The use of the term as a blunt-force political tool cheapens the debate, IMO.

it doesn’t matter whether i like someone or not, it matters what they do to someone else, but that doesn’t mean that i wish them ill or that they be treated badly.

and yes, i fight the show tunes thing, i can’t help it, i like musicals….ways to say things nooone will say, one way to get through the wall of ’polite company’ and class how can you not like the irony of that?….but i don’t own any……but i can sing them…….once, all the way to birmingham alabama to stay awake, i sang showtunes to my dog, that’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth……but it was like a guilty pleasure like eating pie for dinner or like having illicit sex. i was embarrassed when i said how i stayed awake……but it was a revelatory moment….

i think i’m gonna come out on the show tunes thing and go buy a couple cd’s……..

Perhaps I should have said “poo flinging” as it was the title of one piece by Christy and was used in several threads (also a couple where it was banned). Thers did a wonderful piece for Saturday late night “Your candidate sucks” based on the poo flinging, IMO.

nope. Because I’m not an expert on sexism. I know it when I see it. And i wrote about it because the information found me, I didn’t go looking for it. It was never something I wanted to write about. And it sure as hell wasn’t anything that I wanted to spend about a month on — watching it turn ito a four part series simply because someone would ask a question, and I’d look at the data again, and go “hey, there’s something there.”
