Sorry I disappeared. We had to do some errands in a hurry-up fashion.

I wonder: how do you listen to Ingrah and still stay on the road? lol I’d probably be in the ditch in 10 seconds. She’s absolutely awful. I don’t understand why she isn’t busted-broke-penniless from slander lawsuits.
She is a nasty nasty person.

Rattlesnakes would be better. At least they have a legitimate reason for what they do. I seriously wonder if someone like ingra- is not merely rotten and foul-mouthed, but seriously ill mentally. How does a person live like that? She’s basically a hollow shell that survives totally by trashing everything around her, for “fun”, or so it would appear.

Some day she’ll need help. We all do from time to time. I figure she’s not half as smart as she thinks she is; otherwise, she’d realize she’s burning bridges she might need tomorrow, next week, who knows… Same goes for Malkin, Rush, Rove, O’Bill-o. Then there’s Dobbs, in his own weird, narrow, cramped little private, gated world… [he’s big enuf to be an island, i suppose, for the moment… amazing ego there - whew!]

Sure they all make me mad. So I turn them off. I look and listen enough to recognize what they’re up to. Then I shut the door. They are not welcome in my home.

It’s stupid and silly of me, but sometimes I will tune in to a tv show I know is knowingly spreading lies and filth and false stories. I give them a minute or so. What I’m waiting for is one of these egregious acts to be blurted out on the show. It usually doesn’t take long. When it happens, I abruptly change the channel directly to their toughest competitor, and I don’t return to the original show that day. (i cheat and switch from the often equally odious competitor to anything else that i can find that’s neutral, or just turn it off) I don’t know if the cable companies have a way to check viewership that closely or not. It would not surprise me if they do. In fact, I’m counting on it, so they will know I just “voted” against their shoddy dishonest programming.

Thanks back at you! I always enjoy reading your comments.

Wow, thank you. Listening to her in the car is about like watching the scene of a wreck: hard to stop. I think I forget how irked I get and think I will just check in: Maybe better just say NO. Thanks again.

Oh RevBev. Bless your heart.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

Think of her as a balloon.

Got a sharp pencil with ya?

Well then.

No. It won’t do away with her.

But it may help you get through yet another day.

The big thing worse for me than hearing an arrogant idiot like Ingra- is to read ranting and fuming among our own, somehow buying Ingra’s line of filth claiming HER rendition of what OUR candidates say and stand for.

Cool it, folks. Please.

I listened to some of Laura Ingraham while I was out in the car. I need a tranquilizer. She is all over the Obama story/I guess she hates him, or just likes a rant. Then a rant about abstinence, etc. She is loud and snarky, full of contempt. There is very interesting psychological study on dynamics of contempt. I am not qualified to explore it, but she’s got it big time. Talk about arrogant, know it all. Thanks for this place to rant.

No I didn’t see Liddy Dole’s amendt. I generally skip reading rethug amendments. That’s probably a mistake but there’s only so much I can stomach. What did she do? I will check Public Citizen, if you see a link feel free to post. I feel like I am on a tear. Here’s one of Dole’s press releases (I’d be shocked, shocked if her apparent “concern” was hypocritical):
November 15th, 2005 - Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Senate today approved the fiscal year 2006 National Defense Authorization Act, which authorizes military activities for the U.S. Department of Defense, funding for military construction, and other related defense programs. The bill includes amendments authored by U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole, which are highlighted below:

Protecting Military Families from Predatory Lending
Dole’s amendment requires the Department of Defense, in consultation with the Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC, and representatives of military charity and consumer organizations to provide to Congress within 90 days a report that includes:

• An assessment of how predatory lending is being directed at members of the armed services;
• A list of current and future programs to prevent or eliminate predatory lending to service members, including education on predatory lending for service members and their families; and
• Specific legislative and executive branch actions that should be undertaken to further address this problem.

The amendment also places the Senate on record acknowledging the nature and extent of the predatory lending problem.

“This is an egregious practice that must be stopped,” said Dole. “Many young troops, like many young people across the country, do not have a cushion of savings to use in an emergency, and most are not educated in financial management. Lending can be an alluring option for a young soldier to get cash fast and easy, but exorbitant interest rates can send an individual into a downward spiral of debt.

“Predatory lending practices can also have serious ramifications for our military’s operational readiness. Military conduct codes stress financial solvency, and a member with bad credit and mounting debt can face potentially career-ending disciplinary measures. I am pleased that we are taking action towards finding a solution to this problem.”

Dole’s amendment has received support from The Military Coalition and the Fleet Reserve Association, as well as numerous consumer groups, which have praised the provision as “an important first step toward providing comprehensive protection.” (Letter attached.)

yeah boo at 126–i know many that easily received annulments, and others whom their spouse wouldn’t give/allow divorce, and others where their former spouse wouldn’t go along with the annulment, most times because of children, in the eyes of the church couldn’t annul marriage or children would be ’illegitimate’……

as many scenarios/views as there are stars in the sky.

TPM also has a blurb on the DOJ investigating possible CIA leaks to the NYT’s James Risen, whose reporting has plagued the Bush administration. A DOJ that also has time to devote dozens of agents to “get” Spitzer but can’t find time to answer questions from Congressional committees or investigate rape, murder and fraud in Iraq. It does find time to protect itself, but not the American people, their pocketbooks or their sons and daughters fighting in foreign wars.

So when can the church have a serious discussion about birth control?

When they’ve birthed enough new members to take over the world, of course. Duh!
