Well, here’s some fuel for your fire. I’m paying closer attention to this crap than my hubby. As a result, he clings to the image of McCain 2000 without fully knowing there’s a new viral version out called McCain 2008. There’s been a whole lot of reprogramming going on but they kept the package looking pretty much the same.

If I hadn’t come to the conclusion that the TV news is run by conservatives, I’d wonder at why people like Matalin continually get airtime while there are residents in most mental hospitals who could make more sense. Since I have, though, all I can do is ask “What’s your point?” (in a snarky tone of type).

While I was stuck in an airport Friday, I was unlucky enough to witness one of the news channels, I think it was CNN, having a roundtable discussion about whether Obama or Clinton hated small Pennsylvania towns more, or something like that. I doubt they’ve ever spent that much time discussing their relative strengths on health care, Iraq, or anything else that matters to anyone who isn’t a bitter gun owner.

It’s just bread and circuses, with precious little bread.

I mean, I know Carville is little more than a snake oil salesman and has been for some time, but he was once an actual Democrat, right? He did participate in the weird miracle that was the Clinton election in ‘92, didn’t he?

How can that person, that I think he used to be, actually go home and sleep next to someone who blathers such complete idiocy???!!! She isn’t even bother to pander to Bush’s 28%, she’s deepthroating all the way down for Cheney’s 13%!

Actually it would be fun to see Condi as McVain’s VP candidate. In between his explaining how having her on the ticket isn’t Ultimate Pandering and her pretending to know much about anything outside of stiletto heel boots, grand pianos and Russian politics (and not much about that) you’d never get two more out-of-touch candidates.

The MSM would of course play up Condi’s dominatrix fashion sense, and McCain’s love of torture. It would be the match made in media heaven.

My body guard was over for dinner Saturday. He had been watching CNN and FAUX as they kept pounding little sound bites from Obama’s remarks at the end of last week about people being frustrated. I hadn’t watched either network’s coverage of this, but he said they were lambasting Obama non-stop.

I played him the complete segment of the speech from which the extracts came. My bodygurd blew up – a sight to behold!! – and swore up and down about how CNN and FAUX had twisted everything around so hat Obama came off as something totally different than how he came off in the entire segment.

Many political prisoners were released in Indonesia when the international community of writers and editors focused on the head of the regime. Absolutely. They are already out buying up property cheap. Recently, I was asked by someone I know, very wealthy people, in the Bay Area, if I would attend auctions for them in my area because property values are so low. They started the conversation off with, “I know this sounds terrible but they got themselves in this position so I don’t feel sorry for them”. I bought them local newspapers. I choose to plant my veggie garden instead. Believe me, I could use the extra cash.

I would feel differently buying from a developer who over-built and charges exaggerated prices but not from the hardships of the working class. I’ll see if I can change their minds. The rich get richer.
