As now, I have lived in big cities for 30 years, but visit brothers in small towns. I am always packing and paddling, so I spend a lot of time in unfamiliar small towns. Rural folks do not obsess over what might be in the minds of big-city people. They’re rarely bitter. They’re at least, courteous and patient. Usually good for conversation, advice, or a good laugh.
