That is frikkin’ hilarious too!!
Hello Donita, YoungJess, restrest :D
Ditto : Paul Lukasiak never showed up to explain all those graphs and charts… I am still seeing lines and dots in my vision!
Hi Donita how goes the CD sales. I sure have enjoyed listening to it…. my signed copy that is!
wow. bun of steel.
Book ‘em Donita!
Can I get anyone a Mai Tai?
*waving to YoungJess *
IZ – Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Hawaiian version
Also – wow. Whenever I think ‘what will “they” think of next?’…they think of it
Donita, this is hysterical!
However, you should have saved “No Aloha” for this week’s playlist!
My favorite YouTube video of all time is “L7 interviews The Breeders.” It’s posted under “Heroes” on my MySpace.
From Ep’Ued land… Raven…Well how much did the GED help with their quality of life?? I would think it would have help them as they could use the milestone to go further in their education as I know you did. Great subject to study…. Education is the future of our society. I just wish our so called leader would take a page out of what the Dutch have done in their country!
*waving to Elliott* :)
Hahaha! All the typos and lousy spelling of the ‘net explained in one short video! After just 15 minutes, betcha can’t walk a straight line. “But officer, it’s not the booze, it’s the chair
did you post that before? I remember seeing it, it’s such a sweet version.
I’m loving this!
Still waiting to see if Dick Dale’s going to do a tour this year. I hope so.
yes, it’s not new
I’ve got enough trouble with typos as it is . . . good grief!
EPU TOO!
Not surprisingly it was mixed. Some of the folks, women mostly, went back to have an impact on their kids. Others felt something was missing in their lives and they sought to complete it. The younger ones did hope to use it to go on. What I really found was that it is very complex and generalizing does not do the subject, or the people, justice. A GED or high school diploma is “necessary but not sufficient” for advancement for most folks. The bottom line is that their has to be a “second chance” for people. Another conclusion
was that quitting school is a perfectly sound thing for many people.
thanks for playin’ it again :)
Howdy all, just got logged in, had some issue for a second. Will catch up in a second with you all.
Yo fini!!
Wow.
http://www.after5catalog.com/c…..ai-pic.jpg
Hey fini! :) By any chance did you get a package returned to you that was sent to me? I haven’t received a parcel yet :o!
It’s easier if you log in before you start the Hawaii chair.
I will look into that, someone else does all the shipping. Send me an email with my name @gmail.com and I will research it for ya.
:>
Yeah, I had to get may jam on you know!
Has CTuttle seen this yet?
Especially when they teach to the lowest denominator… My youngest went the GED route and she is doing just fine so far… she is married with three girls. She seems to be very happy except she doesn’t like Texas what with the Tornado stuff..

I always figured that the group 808 State had Hawaiian roots (808 being the telephone area code for HI). Not true:
buncha Brit ravers.
oh helllll yeah :>
mmmmm…. poi!
;~P
That “lowest denominator” stuff is tricky.
Heh. Phunny. Where the hell youse been?
And damn, if anyone here ought to know the origins of 808 State I thought it would be you!
Holy crap, if you play that TR 808 video with the John Prine song from the playlist together it so effing rocks!
*clink*
That “lowest denominator” stuff is tricky.
poi for the hoi polloi!
I have seen it with six going through school… they are done now, my oldest decided to become a nurse after going in the Army for six years, working for another five. He loves working as a nurse in the ICU…. We are very proud of him and he is a great example to the rest!

*clink*
I learn something every day…
from the sound of it, the TR-808 was complicit in many crimes against ear-manity in the ’80s.
“MMM Mai Tai! I will enjoy one!” – Beldar Conehead
You truly had no idea? Oh hell I burned up the entire line of Roland drum machines from the 80s and early 90s. I prefer real drummers on my personal recordings, I might write some drum machine parts for rhythm purposes but generally have a drummer record with me.
nope, didn’t know.
having put sticks to drumhead in my youth, I concur. (alas, my ’70s mahogany Premier drum kit sits idle in the attic, disassembled; no room to set it up and play without disrupting the neighborhood.)
I remember when someone told me the Amazing Rythmn Aces were using a drum machine on “Third Rate Romance”. I said “say it ain’t so”!
Best birthday wishes from Germany!
Hope, you can be around next week again.
PS. Thanks for the exotic playlist.
Don’t miss EW’s latest post…it’s a humdinger.
My bas does the same… I have one out (Kramer) and two in their cases ( ALembic hand nunbered and an early Fender music master short scale bass) in a closet…
bass that is damm
All your bass are belong to us.
Hi, Donita! What’s up?
This april 8 was a great day! Yeah! I wish you a very happy birthday!!! =D
I hope you’re fine! Have a good weekend!
You rock! o/
OH NOES!!11! Someone set us up the bomb!

Where did everybody go?
not happy hour yet here on the west coast. still pretending to work!
That smell oh that smell da da da
shhh don’t tell..
I’m here, FWIW
Had a question for you if you’d like to offer an opinion.
I’m kinda in a Sister Hazel phase. I think the best thing to come out of Gainesville since Tom Petty.
Any thoughts?
If I were your attorney, I would advise you to quit your job and begin a heavy drinking regimen, at once.
I loves me some Sister Hazel, but youre missing out if you haven’t heard some other Gainesville boys named Against Me!
Just a note to anyone who had questions about the previous post — I’d planned to be there when it went up, but when I saw Jane (BIGFOOT) Hamsher’s post go up at 3, I decided that I’d avail myself of a little nap time (getting older sucks). I’m around to answer questions and respond to comments in the previous thread, in case anyone cares. ;-)
Good stuff… must be something in the water in Gainesville
Whatever it is, I hope they keep it up
Thanks
fini: if you farted, i didn’t smell it, but i got allergies and stuff, so you might want to check your drawers…
;~P
For a great Hawaiian song, try “Nikki Hoi” by Flo & Eddie.
Years ago, I saw the Ventures at the Palomino.
Enough irrelevance…
Oh hell naw! We don’t check our drawers until its laundry day in my house!
I will take that under advisement, counselor.
As long as it ain’t “irregardless”
That “word (not)” pisses me off.
;~P
Irregardless of what you think I like to say irregardless. I like meaningless words that sound like $10 words.
I can’t wait to see these guys tomorrow night on Saturday Night Live.
*Bows*
I’m not worthy
Going to cook dinner now so yer on yer own.
Behave!
;~P
Time warp!
Here’s a true Hawaiian Superstar…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sxzh-cLF3c
Yeah, CTuttle, truly one of the greatest. No ka oi.
Another excellent artist: Kekuhi Kanahele. (Love the tune “Omoomo” – every time I hear it, I am reminded that crappy chieftains and miserable kings get theirs in the end.) Da kine; authentic, not tiki hut Hawaiiana like Donita’s playlist.
”While my Guitar Gently Weeps” on ukulele:
