Yet another one of the wingnutosphere’s Grand Mal Temper Tantrums blows up in their collective faces (h/t digby):

An Iraqi judicial committee has dismissed terrorism-related allegations against Associated Press photographer Bilal Hussein and ordered him released nearly two years after he was detained by the U.S. military.

Hussein, 36, remained in custody at Camp Cropper, a U.S. detention facility near Baghdad’s airport.

A decision by a four-judge panel said Hussein’s case falls under a new amnesty law. It ordered Iraqi courts to "cease legal proceedings" and ruled that Hussein should be "immediately" released unless other accusations are pending.

The ruling is dated Monday but AP’s lawyers were not able to thoroughly review it until Wednesday. It was unclear, however, whether Hussein would still face further obstacles to release.

Unfortunately, Hussein will probably be stuck in custody until the end of this year, when the Iraqi government is scheduled to get actual control over its own courts system. Why? For the same reason all the other innocent men, women and children have been held for so long by Bush and his minions, and released only after much effort: The Bushbots can’t admit error, ever, and most especially not when it comes to their war on brown people with oil. (Case in point: Remember the four Brits released from Guantanamo? The ones that BushCo said were "too dangerous" to be let out of custody? The Brits held them for a day, then let them go free. Period. Without charges.)

Just as Bush Junta members can never admit error, neither can the members of the wingnutosphere that so assiduously fluffs them. Which is ironic, because just like the Bush Junta, the wingnutosphere’s adherents are considerably more prone to error — or evil — than the rest of us.

Item: Their insistence that Captain Jamil Hussein, an Iraqi police officer who said some things that ran counter to their rosy view of Iraq, didn’t exist — thereby endangering his life when he had to step forward. But the captain’s peril was lost on most conbloggers, who in addition to not generally suffering much trauma in their lives, are noticeably lacking in the empathy department.

Item: Their disturbingly similar attacks on Scott Beauchamp, a US troop in Iraq who also said things that clashed with the wingnuts’ take on reality in Iraq. They doubted that he existed, too — and when he revealed himself, they set out to destroy him, starting with his military career. They even were willing to use a gay porn film actor and alleged "former male escort", Matt Sanchez, to do it, despite Sanchez’ own and far more serious credibility issues. Again, they went after a guy who saw more pain and bloodshed firsthand in one day than most will see in their entire lives. The higher brain functions seem to be missing with these people.

Item: You’d think that they’d have the sense not to pick on deathly-ill kids or their families. Guess again:

The wingnuts have been in full force attack against the family of Graeme Frost, the twelve year old boy that gave the Democratic radio address a couple of weeks ago. In their typical ignorance of the facts, Malkin and the rest on the right side of the blogosphere are trying to paint this family as phonies. Think Progress has noted the important facts the attack monsters are forgetting.

So what would you do if you saw that face snooping around your house? That might be a good question for the Frost’s:

Update 2:50pm Eastern: I (Malkin) just returned from a visit to Frost’s commercial property near Patterson Park in Baltimore. It’s a modest place. Talked to one of the tenants, Mike Reilly, who is a talented welder. He said he had known the Frosts for 10 years. Business is good, he told me, though he characterized Frost as “struggling.” Reilly was an outspoken advocate for socialized health care without any means-testing whatsoever and an insistent critic of the Iraq war. Despite all that, he did agree with me that going without health insurance is often a matter of choice and a matter of priorities. Or maybe we were speaking two different languages.

I also passed by the Frosts’ rowhouse. There was an “01 – 20 -09″ bumper sticker plastered on the door and a newer model GMC Suburban parked directly in front of the house. I’ve seen guesstimates of the house’s worth in the $400,000-plus range. Those are high. But Mark Tapscott’s point remains: “[P]eople make choices and it’s clear the Frosts have made choice to invest in property and a business, but not in private health insurance. The Maryland-administered version of the federal SCHIP program, by the way, does not impose an asset test on applicants.”

Now isn’t this the same Malkin who has complained about hate mail and threats? Ironically she did this on the same day that Free Republic decided to post the Frost’s’ home address. Of course this is also the same Malkin who tries to act like she is concerned about children. Well we see how much she really “cares” now.

How big a foul-up was this? The mainstream media actually deigned, not only to notice, but to drop the bogus he-said-she-said "evenhanded" pose usually adopted in the face of outrageous right-wing bullshit and to repeatedly call the pigs out on their piggery.

Remember, everyone: They’re so much more moral than you. Got it?
