The US Attorney at that time was recently appointed to be number 3 in Bush’s DOJ http://www.courant.com/news/cu…..506.story. He was temporarily appointed this gig earlier to help “clean up” Abu’s mess.

I think Mukasey also contributed to Joe.

Good thing Bush would never politicize the DOJ.

The Stamford Advocate article doesn’t make clear who were recipients of the FBI email. Perhaps Blumenthal didn’t receive the email or a briefing, on Lieberman’s sysadmin/server being the source of Lieberman’s problems, before the interview by CTBob.

The Bush administration is remarkably adept at launching prosecutions against Democrats, never Republicans, marvelously close to elections.

Wish we would take a page out of their book and start with a hearing to show cause as to why the Congress should not find Mukasey derelict in his duty by not properly enforcing Congressional subpoenas. Why not? If Nancy could give a comprehensive answer to that that would not be able to be easily shot down by any one of us, she should have her way. Otherwise, the hell with Nancy, these people should realize that they will be fighting the image of themselves that she created when she took Impeachment off the table! They need to eat a lot of shit before they wake up to the unpleasant truth; that they’ve been extremely ineffective representatives.
