Nice to hear it Jane. It’s them against us – they are the pods from invasion of the Body Snatchers – but it still remains to be seen who we are. You did so well for Lamont in 06 – thanx. Hopefully, there will be even more of that kind of enlightenment in November, and Obama will get in and do the right thing.

Very late to this thread. I knew when I saw the story this morning that you would have steam pouring out your ears when you saw it. We all knew at the time exactly what was going on and the steno pool did what they always do. Talk about f*cking wh*res.

It would seem to me that filing a false complaint with the FBI should carry some kind of legal penalty. I hope we have someone looking into that.

The good news is that the Lamont message got out and resonated. Without your (and our) hard work for Ned the 06 sweep would not/could not have happened. Remember what a huge impact your words and deeds had and have.

Damn, Jane’s right. That video IS fucking awful! I almost forgot what a mealy-mouthed worm Sean Smith was, especially after Gerstain filled his shoes.

Man, was I happy that Lieberman canned his ass right after he lost. Now I know how the Washington press corps felt about Ron Ziegler during Nixon’s heyday.

I have been lurking here for a while now, and I find it funny that this is what finally prompts me to peek out of my cave and say hi. So many things to be angry at in the wold, but the Lieberman re-election debacle is such a sore spot with me. I live in Massachusetts, but my parents lived in Connecticut for a couple of years while I was in college, so I feel a small connection to the state, and I met Joe Lieberman years ago and detested him on sight. Truly a smarmy little weasel. Anyway, I made phone calls for Ned Lamont and canvassed for him because I knew it was a history making, game-changing campaign. And it was, regardless of the outcome. The oh-so wrong and tragic outcome.

When the story was put out that OMG those eeeeevil extremist Lamont supporters crashed Lieberman’s site, I knew the election was lost. The media coverage was ridiculous and I will never forget how helplessly, viciously angry I was and, of course, that anger has only grown since. Every time that vicious little rat who calls himself a senator opens his mouth and is rewarded for it by being plastered all over the teevee, I just scream “Freaking Connecticut,” and I haven’t visited the state since.

So, thanks for letting me get that out, and now I’ll head back to the safety of lurkdom.

Even the second (yellow) group appears to have only gone up by 5 battalions. So even if your lump the 1st and 2nd groups, the total goes up by less than 5 battalions after 2.5 FU’s!

Congressman McHenry Violates OPSEC; Endangers Troops

In an effort to bolster his own national security credentials in the midst of “Sniper-gate,” Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC) gave away intelligence information last week that could have aided Shi’ite militias and/or other terrorist organizations in targeting the Green Zone. Only two days after McHenry promoted a video of himself in the Green Zone describing in detail the effectiveness of the rocket attacks on Easter Sunday, the area was hit with a barrage that killed two U.S. soldiers and wounded 17 others. It was the deadliest attack on the Green Zone so far this year.

The information McHenry divulged in a video on his official Congressional website on Friday was critical for a number of reasons.
