I have a real rant re CNN’s show this morning “This Week in Politics”,over the repetitve lies on Obama’s record, and I hope the FDL and Kos community will help with this.
Enough is enough. A very young girl challenged McCain on the event ‘not being political’ as she was told. We all should start going after them as well. As a disclaimer I’m def. an Obama fan, but as a person of the law I want the truth out about both sides. But CNN -

But CNN is way the f*** out of line lately. They’re scraping the bucket for crap even FOX doesn’t want or won’t say.
Hung over or from too much heat under their robes most likely.. but their is absolutely no excuse for lies ..

Their “not just ‘news’”show this morning started off in unanimity between CNN and Time’s Jay Carney by singling out Obama , that “”..He’s an unknown”..”Obama has not been tested in any tough elections”.
Those are outright lies:
1. They don’t make any of those same comments about Clinton, who had big donors and the Clinton name behind her and only ran in one election -using her husbands credentials to supplement her lack thereof. Hardly a ‘tough’ endeavor.
2. Obama had no money and just his own record of achievements.
3. Obama with no name or money and his own credentials, has actually been involved in SIX ELECTIONS:, contrary to statements made by CNN and Time

a. +3 -Three elections for the Illinois seat: 1996 (the first ), then was re-elected twice more in 1998 and 2002 (2002 was “a tough election” for a number of reasons: he had just lost the 2000 election, and, the district was redrawn -adding more whites, contradicting those who say it was just a “easy black district. )
b. +1 -Obama ran in 2000 for the U&S House – a very “tough election” -WHICH HE LOST. It’s tough to ‘lose’ , wouldn’t CNN -especially CNN -say??
c. +1 – Ran for US Senate in 2004. A “tough election” where he vehemently and publicly voiced opposition to the war. A pretty “tough” thing to do -??
d. +1 -2008 Presidential candidate. With no money, only his own credentials and record Obama has fought against massive obstacles and challenges for well over a year.

A pretty damn tough campaign so far -eh CNN?? And unlike your racist drooling ranting Dobbs, Obama is still smiling and pleasant -even to those who’ve done him wrong.

If ever there’s a man who lives by the true meaning of the Bible -it’s Senator Barack Obama .
And if ever a man has worked his heart out on a daily basis for over 12 years and six elections, and done it for not his own pockets but for -”for all the people in this country“, it’s Barack Obama.

Obama has not only earned his place as our next President, he epitomizes everything America should stand for. And therefore should be our next President!

Don’t just vote for him, support what he stands for. ..because the ‘what’.. is ‘us’.

There is a HUGE problem for Obama – Fist he won’t win and IF He does by refusing to seating Michigan and Florida delegates he will not have the support of Hillary Clinton’s fighting strong supporters.

I was at a congressional caucus yesterday and Obama supporters have killed any hope of gaining strong Clinton democratic voters. They did it by venomously attacking and hating two of the democratic party’s stongest ally’s. Good job Obama supporters. I hope that you can as you say you can live without our votes and you will never have mine. Becuase you valued using Republican hate tactics against the Clintons rather than on the merits of each candidate. Where have they been hiding Michele Obama any way – I hear that she “HATES” whites. Nice one Michele. Wait until the media drops that bomb on the general election cycle.

I’m almost a McCain Democrat because so many people hate the Clintons so well.
