Mercury Rev – Opus 40
Happy Birthday dear Peace symbol. Your height in fashion and spirit was grand, but nowadays it seems we hardly knew ye.
What’s on your mind tonight?
ES!
Peace, man!
es
Heh, back-to-back jacks err… zeds! *g*
Freaking Digg wants me to join Digg again!
dayam, even in ie?
They really love you.
Evening Eureka!
Funky-cool vid!
I hope alias shows up in time to catch this vid.
Good morning, ES!
What’s on my mind tonight?
Lieberspheric Cosmology
OT (if that’s even possible) – If it’s twilight time in Hawaii, then it must be Glowing Crater Vent View Cam time.
No, I foolishly opened up FDL in Firefox. A hard habit to break, since I originally started using FF to enhance my FDL experience. It just doesn’t like Digg, or Digg doesn’t like it.
Good evening ES.
What I meant to say previously, is that I don’t think that McCain will have a say in whom will be his VP. Whoever is “they”, will tell him that “this” neocon will be “your” vice-President. He’ll just swallow like a big boy…
hahahaha i love it, rond
Fabulous.
that is way cool, hmmm – thanks
Considering McCain has obviously been listening to handlers on everything else, that sounds reasonable.
Heh, You’re more attuned than I…! 8-P
Evening ES!
Digg it
the Peace symbol turns 50 :>) I just wish it could truly bring peace to this world! So many lives wasted in the name of power and greed.
but but but he’s a maaaaverick (whine whine) is what we are constantly told by msm
I agree there seems to be issues between digg and FF…!
dugg, thanks
De nada. The volcano, it’s been changing lately. (…and just exactly how obvious is it that when the larger world of humans disappoints, as in, like, right now, I finds me my solace in nature?…)
Agreed entirely.
Hey, ES!
Wow. A black JoHole. Wonderful stuff, thanks.
Good evening, Loo Hoo. I have an early Holloween costume idea for you. Cruella D’Issa. *snicker*
That’s the center piece of Volcanoes National Park, Halemaumau Crater, home of Madame Pele, folks and its been quiet for 30 plus years until a few weeks ago…!
*rubbing hands together gleefully* i like that idea es
Bookmarked, thanks Hmmmm.
Heya ES. *grin* I’m flattered that you’d love my opinion on this one!
Different, that’s for sure. Surrealist with that wistful sounding voice, and the music itself. I want to catagorize it and i’m hesitating to do so. *grin* Which means i’m intrigued by it. ^_^
The explanation is perfectly simple, it’s the end of the weekend and the vaccuum bag on the internet’s full. Hoovering, ya know.
Digg has been fubr all week, i submitted an to support and lo and behold I got a response… at least they are trying issues…
Here is a handy tool for checking your connection speed, I have used it to beat up on my ISP when my connection gets much slow
Likey- just left you a blog comment!
did someone forget to give our nsa monitor their snacks?
Trying a second time Digg it
Speed test
Time to reboot be back soon…….I hope
New post. Olympic Size Protests
And now I am off to bed. Night y’all.
Thanks, VG! My compliments on that most disturbing picture you linked up last thread…:)
Hey my weird brain decided to juxtapose it with the peace symbols birthday. A lament of sorts, I suppose..)
Must say I like the song too.
Forgot to walk them for a piddle, more likely.
‘night, Betsy.
Whoa, ES and LooHoo agree with me on republican strategy…
Have a good night folks. Try the veal, it’s fabulous. Tip your waiter, I’ll be at the mocassin room later tonight!
Kidding.
pain free sleep wishes tex
Hmmm, the Royal Court for Merrie Monarch was denied access to Halemaumau, to pay the obligatory homage because of the hiccups…
Sweet dreams, TexB, same to you Q.
Bonne nuit Betsy. C’était encourageant de te voir debout dans ces photos. Merci.
‘night, Quebecois.
Aloha, Tex! I wish ya pain free sleep!
It fits, considering that symbol is older than me and it’s been through a helluva long life as an icon in just 50 years. Has more meaning to the younger generation too now, not just a flashy decal anymore.
You want to see me in the photos? Je suis perdue.
You noticed the vent opened up directly below the overlook spot where the Hawaiians leave Pele their gifts, right? Not a specialist here, but it seems to me locking the faithful out is not not not gonna help appease the deity.
No, no, saw you up…
g’nite q
Best news I have heard all day.
Good idea on the Halloween costume.
Speaking of Halloween, check out this 20 second YouTube selise posted next door. Okay to torture children, according to Yoo.
Ahhh. Too late at night to understand french! Good night.
Nahant, when I click on your link and then click on digg it, it says something like digg not saved, need to reload page…
Could you explain about the tool to check your connection speed?
neuro, i got that when i tried to digg, reloaded the page and it dugg just fine.
Nightnight everyone.
A real Congress would call that a smoking gun.
Hi Loo Hoo.
I posted part of this at the end of the prior thread. So, partial repeat.
I need some info here. Isn’t the VP candidate announced at the respective party convention? After the P candidate has been chosen? irrc the R convention is after the D convention. Gwad, I shudder to think who McCain might choose as his running mate.
So, I have to think that whoever McCain (or his handlers) choose as running mate will partly be a response to the D ticket. My guess is that it will be some Governor from the other side of the country, with valid neo-con credentials, who hearts the terrorist message. Scratching my head…
Needs to be made into a bumper sticker too, imo.
Republicans Yoo
Torture Children
Nighters, Betsy and Q.
nahant, it says I have 1771.44 kbps. Is that good or bad?
Hi newtonusr. It’s just so unbelievably depressing that congress does nothing about anything.
True, that photo was taken from the observatory, looking at the overlook at the crater’s lip…! ;-)
Except Suz, of course.
It’s more cynical on my part because i remembered a little of the history of it. But those even younger than me? Definitely no longer a decal. *grin* My parents weren’t hippies, but my mom might as well have been considering she’s a Canuck. I’ve been in agreement with her about this administration from the beginning. Didn’t like the Shrub one bit at all, and her opinions about the PM over on the canadian side aren’t much better. *snickers*
Robust opinion is putting it mildly. I’m now the third generation of women in this family like that. *grin* Me, mom and Grandma. The guys just kinda tag along, i find.
Better not say that too loud around here, alias!
Valley Girl, the running mate is traditionally announced at the convention, and technically the delegates vote on him/her, although I can’t remember the last time a convention rejected a presidential nominee’s choice for VP. In 1976, I believe, when Raygun was running against Gerald Ford, Ronnie had a press conference several weeks before the convention and announced that his running mate would be Sen. Schweiker. I believe this was an attempt to swing some moderate delegate votes to Raygun, though it didn’t work. Had Ronnie gotten the nomination that year, it would have still been up to the convention to ratify his VP choice.
You will need to set your location from the pull down menue and then just click on TEST and it will download a test file and then upload it back and give you the results! It is that simple.
In this shot you can see the little fenced observation area and the vent plume coming up right behind it.
…Coinkydink? I ask ya.
*laughs* That’s just in my family. They’re quiet but they aren’t slouches either. Not to keep up with these women. I’d say the same for the FDL guys. Hell, i can barely keep up with Christy and Jane!
Great, I finally get in here just in time to go to bed.
I actually have to get up and go to That Place tomorrow.
Peace Babies!
I doth protest! Being Canuck, does not make a DFH! Being an Ex-Canuck, I know what I sayeth…! ;-)
Heh, and an empty parking lot!
Wow!
Hi! Bye! Busted!
when the girls were teens, they would have disagreed with that – but as teens, they were both prone to hyperbole :)
That depends on what speed you are paying for. 1.7 is good if you are on DSL. I sometimes get up to 4kbs since I upgraded to AT&T Elite for $5 more than the pro version I had. But if you have Comcast in the Bay Area you should be getting up 16 mega bits per second… it also costs more and having been on DSL since the begining I am loath to change over because of several email addresses that we use. Also Comcast doesn’t like having servers on their cable.
hi bye busted
I was born in ‘65.. finally learned to keep my clothes on by ‘75, didn’t quit wearing patchouli until about ‘82..)
SLeep well, Busted.
(thought of you when I brought my 1/2 Maine Coons in from the porch as they protested loudly at the outrage – of being taken into the warm house from the nice, dark, cold fifty degree night)
:P i know. But it was interesting that she never was one. But holds a lot of the same views as those held up as DFH over here are, nonetheless. (and i’ve opened mouth, insert foot once again, it seems.)
My hero.
Quitter….:)
Alias, I was kidding…! You didn’t insert foot! *g*
707!
I have cable from Cox.
The irony is that I quit wearing patchouli shortly before I moved to the Haight Ashbury.
I never did like the aroma of Patchouli, it is a powerful smell and lingered for days…
Thanks for the info- that confirms my vague recollection, tho I didn’t remember about the Raygun part.
I do make an awesome lentil soup…! ;-)
It’s a plant in the mint family.
Covered up another scent, though!
Ugh, I grew up in SF and Berkeley in the ’60s and ’70s and I HATED patchouli. {shudder} One time some gal had so much on (and was so close to me) I almost vomited.
Yeah, almost makes me want to throw up! Seriously.
the wiki…
That would be correct.
Heh, BO!
What is with McCain stiffing the new GI bill?
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/04/hagel-gi/
Hagel: McCain too busy campaigning to deal with GI Bill.»
Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) is leading the charge on a new “21st Century GI Bill” that will dramatically expand the scope of education assistance provided to returning veterans who served after Sept. 11. While Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has said he is “obviously committed” to “quality education” for GIs, his support for Webb’s bill has thus far been AWOL. In an interview with the Huffington Post yesterday, Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), who supports the bill, explained McCain’s absence:
“We have talked to John,” Hagel said of the measure, which would remove the buy-in cost for veterans to receive greater education benefits. “John as you know has been involved on other pursuits. He has taken a close look at it, his people are. Both Webb and I had hoped he would get on it. Obviously Obama is on it and Clinton, three out of four Vietnam veterans in the Senate are on it, people like John Warner and James Inhofe are on it.
Indeed, Sens. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Hillary Clinton (D-NY) have both co-sponsored Webb’s bill even though they also have been “involved in other pursuits.”
—-
Hagel, Warner, Inhofe, Clinton, Obama. Man, that is a motley crew. Good company for a Maverick.
—-
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/…..iscuss-it/
Graham ducks question on GI Bill, pledges only to ’sit down’ and discuss it.
On “This Week” today, host George Stephanopolous asked Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) why neither he nor Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has cosponsored Sen. Jim Webb’s 21st Century GI Bill, which would dramatically enhance educational benefits given to soldiers.
Graham ducked the question, refusing to answer for his and McCain’s notable absence on the issue. Graham would only declare, “Sign me up to sit down with Jim [Webb]” to discuss the legislation.
—-
Looks like ol’ Huck is playing hookie on this one too.
—–
Yes, there will be more wars my friends, sez McSame McCain, more battle wounds and death, and we will honor them, as long as the honor is cheap.
The Wassits seem like a passive bunch.
Wassit clans agree to back security agencie
Yeppers…! Bwhahaha…!
Scott Horton has two great post up from earlier this evening… really worth the time to peruse them…I wouldn’t mind if he was the next AG as he certainly seems to know the law and gets his dander up when he see it being abused especially by this Administration.
That’s my brother’s initials**Bradley Olson***. His middle name starts with R, so he’s truly my BRO!
Whoa, I believe they’re Sunni tribes…
*facepalms* I swear, what is it with that University and the ability to get into trouble.
Even the Iraqi pacifists step in with an authoritarian fine..)
WTF is that? I never got used to CS and never appreciated it…!
What our Vets get now is pitiful… 2 years of medical and hardly nothing for education. I just wish the would bring back the original from post WWII and update it to take into consideration the current value of the dollar.
The Vet are just being screwed over by the Rupublican party… As Cheney would say SO!
Yeah. I’m sure it’s the University, and not the tactics of law enforcement.
GI Bill would not be in keeping with McW’s new masters’ agenda of maximizing the transfer of wealth away from ordinary Americans. No mystery.
Chanting FOR tear gas. Riiiight.
And the irony of ironies is that he received a totally subsidized college education… Bastard…
Who needs the G.I. Bill or health care when you should just come home, dump your poor sick wife and marry a young beer Magnate.
When you haven’t had a taste of it you just don’t know what you are in for… I saw many in my basic training ralf all over after being exposed to that shit….
I’d say it’s a little of both. The kids were certainly idiots egging them on as well. The law enforcement not having sense to know how to handle that certainly isn’t a help either. But the MSU student body has a habit of being rowdy a lot more than most of the other large state universities here. I’m not sure how it is, because i’ve never attended that school and never WANTED to. So i’m not sure of the undercurrents in general. Just that it’s a given to see a report of a minor brawl or riot for some reason or another at MSU almost annually. THAT is what causes my reaction.
same at the academy – inside a forking building so full cs it was like fog and we had to take off our masks, find the door and exit.
I didn’t ralf, but, I certainly had boogers flowing and tears welling…!
Hate to be a downer, but I just saw two clips I cannot believe. I read a short column in news about one case of rape by KBR of US employee, but looks like at least 15, and DOJ is doing nothing?? In fact, blocking investigation and procecution?
Why isn’t this front page news? I don’t know what to make of Cenk Uygur and his crew. I guess there needs to be a show for young progressive party-hardy boors. But get a load of him going batshit over this, and how can you not catch the outrage? Why is this not a huge huge deal?

ya mean you didn’t have to give the DI your rank and serial number? Boy you guys had it easy.. Oh yeah and if you didn’t do a good job of it they made you stay in there and get it right.
Taken care of, Loo Hoo.
How about in the military, where prosecutions should occur…
Yeah, I agree where’s the outrage! Head meet Desk…!
refresh your pages and see that The Lurking Mod has used his magic powers to poof it for ya
women matter to this bunch just about as much as brown people. they. do. not. care.
Appreciate it.
‘night, alll
The Pentagon is looking to prosecute the offenders as the Justice is doing nothing and they have the authority to prosecute if DOJ doesn’t. This was instituted by Gates shortly after he took over.. Sad thing is they have to wait and see if the DOJ will do any thing. They are too busy going after Democrats.
Aloha, Ron!
Night RonD.
Can we make it until January?
High school. It’s like high school. High school is coming back all over again. Bullies writ very very large. Can I just point out that certain assurances were made to me that I would not have to go through all that again? Especially not at age 50?
Scut Farkus Rides Again.
Hah, my *ss! Nahant read my 123!
g’nite rond
At least it is better than the DOJ but all of these atrocities need to be investigated and the thugs out in jail for a very long time. Cheney is behind alot of this at Haliburton when he was CEO he helped craft the hiring agreements that are designed to protect the company and F*ck the employee over.
oh ES.
My current earworm. Doa released a new single in anticipation of their fourth album. Lucked out and found the video to it.
Glass no Highway (Highway of Glass)
They started out 4 years ago with an incredible sound, and it’s only gotten tighter as the years have gone. The lead singer, Yoshimoto Daiki? Is also a Formula 1 driver. *grin* Never fails to make me feel good, this band.
thanks CTuttle and nahant… I am somehwat in a small way comforted somebody (DOD you say), is thinking about doing something. But that first rape case I read about a few months ago is several years old. But the news story and these clips make it sound as if DOJ is -at best- doing nothing at all, and at worst being obstructive. Seems like it has all been covered up, to me.
Someone posted:
McCain: more positions than the Kama Sutra.
Interesting that a formula 1 driver would do a video in a station wagon..)
707!
Oh, oh. Iran wants OPEC to stop using the dollar.
*laughs* Well, he can’t exactly stuff his bandmates and their guitars into one of those race cars can he?
I don’t see any of the presidential candidates making it a big issue…I mean, I can’t see any of them doing it, should they win the election.
didn’t sadam push for using the euro… right before we invaded and occupied iraq
Exactly. In Nippon that is also a huge car!
Hey! Howie’s got Toots and the Maytals up at C&L.
(Not my favorite song, though.)
didja see this at c&l.. there is a website listing all the r’s arrested and why..
It would seem so.
I don’t remember, but this can’t be good.
I have a very bad feeling about this. Or wait, maybe this is good? OPEC going off the USD would be the killing stroke for the US economy — so is this a balance-of-terror move? US kept from attacking Iran to avoid another Great Depression? Or does Team W + Team Dick -want- to punish the ordinary American with another Great Depression? I’m sooooo confused…
Too cool! I can think of several names that need to be added to that list. I guess since they haven’t yet been convicted (of war crimes) they’re not on it yet.
Oh i know! Unusual to see it but i imagine a few of them are around over there. Just not a lot of ‘em.
I was doing happy dance last night that i found that video. I’ve been following them for a soild 4 years since they broke out in 2004 with the Shiro no Juumon(White Spell) single on their open_d album. Wasn’t until last night that i found all those music vids for them!
This is going to drive Hugh to drink. Heavily.
What currency used to pay for oil will make little difference in short run regarding US financial panic or recession.
Medium run there is a legimate debate it could might or might not reduce US flexibility in external debt financing. The economist (who I think is a US guy) who wants to set up non-dollar oil exchange says no other currency (including Euro) can replace dollar 100% and recommends special security for a non-dollar oil exchange to be phased in over a gradual transition period.
Even if moving away from dollars is bad, going to war to try to stop will make things worse, and in long run will not work anyway. Norway and some in UK (particularly in Scotland) making noises about non-dollar oil exchange. Will Cheney take us to war with them too?
Off for a while… if I don’t make it back, then sweet dreams to all o’ ye. I like it here, I surely do.
I think Iran is already well underway in establishing it’s own oil contracts payable in other currencies.
g’nite hmmm
I was thinking about Hugh as I read that too.
We can’t go to a different currency.. that would doom us to the pinko commie metric system. /s
In response to Quebecois @ 46

Nighters, hmmm.
Of course, there’s a decent chance that Hugh is way ahead of that list.
Brilliant !
Well, maybe we will get to see whether I am wrong or not
(you know these economists, usually wrong but never in doubt).
But I think:
-non-dollar oil exchange will not kill US economy
-no way Euro can substitute for dollars for all of world oil exchange in short run (Eurpean Central Bank, EU and big European economies will not like the idea of a big sudden shift to Euros at all)
-it might be some medium term significant adjustment costs for US
-it would not effect US economy much at all if US fiscal policy were sane
-prolly gonna happen anyway before oil runs out, with several oil producers (including North Sea oil boys, not just Middle East) behind it to.
But… if Cheney is scared about it, he might decide to to war over it, and make whatever bad might come from it a thousand times worse. So, cross your fingers.
Yellowdog! Good to see you. Betsy shared the photos earlier; looks like you had a great time.
hey ydj
He’s up into the 900’s, isn’t he?
Bunch a DFH’s..) Looks like a great locale and great group of folks, Jim.
it was good to see fellow firepups again.
Aloha, Hmmm! Howdy, YDJ!
there sure a lot of them… I can’t wait to see a few more names added like Bush, Cheney, yoo, Addington, Rumsfeld, Rice, and on and on … shit there isn’t enough space to list all the bastards. May they all rot in hell for what they have done to the people and the constitution of this country!
337.
But I assume there are multiple players in at least 90% of the items on Hugh’s List.
hey, suzanne.
how are ya?
i think i got a sunburn.
It looks like Rumsfeld, Addington, Gonzales, Yoo, and Haynes have a lot to think about. Per Phillippe Sands’ Vanity Fair article “The Green Light”:
ES. One last bit of Doa and i’ll be quiet about them.
But this is why i love them most…
Singin’ For Your Smile
Three vocals, a couple of guitars and pure talent. They do at least one B-side like this on every album. This one didn’t make the offical cut of single or album of 3. But egads. *dies of the pretty sound* I have yet to hear a band over here match this talent. The acoustics and their harmony gets me EVERY time.
Heh, a lot of interlocking figures, Cheney and Addington probably the most notable…!
i’m hanging. place still hasn’t sold. i’m still living a life on hold. bride to be’s bridal shower was yesterday. her wedding is the end of next month. that’s about it here.
you?
it was really sweet.
sunny, but not too hot.
friendly, but not too mushy.
visiting with firepups is always good.
in the utter natural splendor.
it was a good time.
Hey, that was the last passage of the 18 page article… I know, I printed it not realizing it was that long…! A lot of members of this cabal had better not set any goals of sight seeing…! Except maybe Paraguay!
I’ll bet Rummy had a few stories to tell after he had to high-tail it out of Europe last year.
I like that one much more than the first one. It’s got some heart in it.
ok pups, that’s it for me tonight. g’nite all
It’s a truly amazing and beautifully researched article. It answers a lot of my questions, but raises more.
F*cker slipped the noose that time… Time shall tell! ;-)
Aloha, Suz!
Rest well Suzanne.
Yep. I love the sense of panic it must have inspired.
wigwam, I’ve really missed you around these parts! Good to see you again.
nite suzanne
Man, potent and well researched, a lot of first hand accounts… I plan on posting aspects of it on M&C after I digest it more thoroughly…! 8-)
Night Suz.. I enjoyed seeing the shower pictures. What is the date of the wedding? If you would like to see Julie perform it is on May 18th… I will be a real treat if you could make it :>)
Give Token a biscuit for me and Tucker!
They’re well known for stuff like this(over there anyway). As i said, they do it for every single album so far. At least one single has a B-side that’s just them and their guitars. It always ends up on repeat in my mp3 player or in my car on a CD. What shocks me is the fact that particular song never made the cut. It’s an incredible piece of work, simply done.
Yes, i have copies of their albums and most of their singles. *grin* So far there’s only one horrible single of the lot, and the B-sides(and the rest of the album) make up for it.
Ain’t it cool? ;-)
International court trip wires can’t trip soon enough!
Night, Suz.
wife’s family reunion in san antonio last weekend: aunt nelda turned 90.
fun and exhausting.
an extra karate class saturday for yellowpup on self-defense from bullies/attackers/abductors: first lesson: if you can run, RUN!
interesting and exhausting.
meet up with firepups 70 miles south: see pictures.
fun and exhausting.
see the pattern?
so i stay up late.

Hi Loo Hoo. Thanks. I don’t have as much free time right now, and I’m trying to get more sleep. Insomnia isn’t that much fun.
Heh -
8 min past hour: BBC grilling UK’s Olympic Minister “Tessa Jowell” (sounds like “jowl”) re Chinese Security Goons grabbing Brits on streets of London.
Great pickup, LooHoo – and thanks to CT for linky to print article.
Wishing those trip would trip right around their necks and drag them off to the hookey
I’m hoping Paraguay will cooperate.
It looks like Rumsfeld, Addington, Gonzales, Yoo, and Haynes have a lot to think about. Per Phillippe Sands’ Vanity Fair article “The Green Light”:
this is beyond merely excellent.
thank you very much.
these are what i have missed from fdl.
good to see you wigwam.
YDJ, I have new digs, click on my name…!
newt! great memory- Siun had a post about this, as I’m sure you remember:
http://firedoglake.com/2007/10…..n-the-run/
~~~On Friday Donald Rumsfeld arrived in France to give a speech – but he had to leave via a back door that went directly into the US Embassy and then quickly scampered out of the country. Why? He was afraid French prosecutors would act on an indictment brought by the Center for Constitutional Rights, the International Federation for Human Rights and several other NGOs.~~~
The line that brought joy to my heart was this:
Remember how everyone was saying that the MCA was Bush’s get-out-of-jail card, retroactive immunity, etc. Well apparently those guys were too clever by half, because their immunity allows universal jurisdiction to kick in.
There’s no excuse for the Chinese to be acting like that…!
I read at Project Censored that just before Bush bought his land there, Paraguay passed a law that they wouldn’t extradite American officials and/or serivce personnel. Sigh.
But laws can be changed.
wigwam, so good to see you here – and with such good news.
when I heard Phillipe on DN Friday AM, I had tears of joy…
I snickered when I read that, Karma’s a Biatch, no? ;-)
So what happens if they just stay in the US of A? Duh duh duh duh duh da da.
Watching the podcast now. Thanks for reminding me, Kirk.
Bro!
I could only read about four paragraphs at a time, and then I’d have to take a break. The notion that somebody had finally gotten the goods on the sons-of-bitches was so good. Maybe I was just savoring it.
Now if we can just get an AG who’ll prosecute aggressively and skillfully! I like the suggestion that it be Scott Horton.
G’night all you great firepups! As usual been great chatting with all of you… Keep up the fight and some day these bastards will get what they deserve.
wigwam- thanks for that great link to the Vanity Fair article.
Maybe no one told the Pentagon not to outsource “renditions”.
Right now, there is
– Jesse Helm’s Hague Invasion Act that prohibits the U.S. from turning anyone over to the International Criminal Court http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A…..ection_Act
– Also there is the Military Commissions Act, which is supposed to have gutted the War Crimes Act of 1996
IMHO, an aggressive AG could work his/her way around those.
very nice digs, CT.
C&M is book marked.
thanks
nite nahant
g’nite, nahant, sleep well.
and wigwam, i still haven’t finished the VF article – just too much anger at what has happened to our Republic. I know there are lots of ethical attorneys – but since when did the depravity become the cultural norm among Federal attorneys and the Federal bench?
G’nite Nahant and everyone else. Time to get some sleep for me too.
Well then, may Obama select the very best of AGs.
Nighters nahant and wigwam.
