I hope law professors across the land will put FDL on their list of credible references, you have taught me more about Law on this blog than anywhere I have visited, and I think I speak for so many legal laymen when I say thank you for unraveling the legaleez.

And, Christy, you know the President’s powers are at the zenith when he ignores Yoongstown.

but there is no sense whatsoever to jump on the entire legal profession.. most of whose practicioners have worked diligently to “get to the bottom of this” .. prognosticated on it’s probability .. objected to it’s result .. long before this came to light of day ..

IANAL either ..the only legalities i’ve ver been exposed to were the requirements of the geneva conventions .. and the applications and responsibilities inherent under the hague rules of land warfare ..as a serving officer in the military ..but you don’t have to pass the bar exam to understand the basic fundamentals of the constitution .. and the broad themes it strikes as to the fundamentals of human rights ..

most of have known and recognized for years the bushies were overboard on these issues.. and objected in every way possible..

it was a suck-ass bush-butt kissing republican majority in both houses of our congress failing to exercise even a modicum of oversight which allowed these outrages to occur .. right up to and including invading a nation which had done us no harm and did not present to us any imminent threat .. which has led to this sorry pass..

blaming “lawyers” is hardly appropriate .. look to the poloiticians who failed to exercise ..and in some respects are failing STILL .. even after a change of horses .. to hold an out-of-control executive to a standard of decdent behavior ..

better yet .. hold the electorate who sustained and sustains these abusive bastards in their catbird seats without account responsible ..

can anyone tell me again exactly why “impeachemnt is off the table ” ..
