The route for Jeb is similar to Nixon in ‘64…instead of trying to hold together a party in shambles, step aside, let the party be taken over by Goldwaterites…then when he got stomped, Nixon moved in and took over the party with no guff from anyone.
In this updated scenario, Nixon is being played by Jeb, and Goldwater by McCain. McCain gets beat? Jeb in 2012.
