Well, Elliott:
Hello from Hong Kong!!!!
Wow!
Lieberman is gonna talk about John McCain?!?!?
What a shocker! I hope McCains heart can take the fluffing he’s about to recieve!
Channeling punaise:
My contempt for Joe Lieberman knows no bounds.
Good Morning! isn’t that a magnificent bird?
yeah, shock of it all Lieberman on McCain. fey.
Hi Biodun in Hong Kong, is the humidity as bad as they say?
(I am wiping the peach sauce from my mouth)
Yes indeed!
Good Morning Elliot and Firedogs,
fabulous photo twolf – ack, Hawk Mountain – a pilgrimage this birder has yet to make – although thanks to a bazillion hours in the field, PRBO found a west coast version on the Marin side of the Golden Gate – excellent site in September
Marion – challah with ginger peaches ?!?!? yup, that’s me now banging on your screened porch door :D
Wow, that’s quite a line up Timmeh has today.
OY!
yes, indeed…Ellie…
thanks for the link! beautiful.
you really do have to make the pilgrimage to Hawk Mountain, the fall is best tho.
yeah, Timmeh went all out pulling together a roundtable of diversity.
diana negroponte is the wife of john.
MSNBC:
Hillary says she’ll stay in the race in the next 10 states…
I really like her; shes’ a survivor in the dog-eat-dog MSM world. I have the privilege of meeting her in NYC a few years ago. She’s also hot for her age…(apologies to feminists like me…*G*)
BTW, I’m getting MSNBC feeds (and from other US channels) from BBC News (my current employer)…
I met hin at the same MSM shindig…he needs to keep the spittle from the corners of his mouth…eeewww!!!
I heard her say a few days ago that if no candidate is decided until the convention, then she will take the fight to the convention…
…I think settling the thing with Al Gore as the convention’s compromise candidate is the best idea I have heard yet.
I have just about reached “screw ‘em both” stage.
And Obamaa agrees she should:
Obama says Clinton should keep running.
I wondered about that, just reading her biography at wiki.
Interesting how much space her ancestry gets.
Good morning all. I was intrigued by the Geo. Stephanopoulos (?) round table with both Paul Krugman and Robert Reich. We may hear a little Keynsian economics versus George Wills’ voodoo.
…a pal, and also one of my friends on Facebook…really nice guy…has given me good advice over the years…He’s actually been an astute fella on MSNBC?NBC…
oh oh, snow will be waiting for me in Minneapolis when I get back on Wednesday…yikes!!! It’s 80 F here in Hong Kong people!!! I feel another jetlagged ravaged body coming…
…so she’s married to John…but Brookings is liberal think tank…another Carville-Matlin mash-up?
..am I the only one here at FDL this Sunday morn? this Sunday morn in FDL-land. Again: it’s 8: 46 PM Sunday night here in Hong Kong…
According to McClatchy, Obama is winning the caucus fraucus in Texas
We are just speechless at some of the line-up, that’s all!
well, Ellie’s here..one of my FDL favorites…*G*…and where the heck are Raven and ThingsComeUndone?
And this is grim. From BBC News:
My bold. As I said: grim…
no you are not dear – just so fuzzy headed is all
Brookings Institution – liberal think tank – lots of very smart people but has had it’s reputation sullied somewhat by wankers like O’Hanlon and Pollack and read just last week some other tosser was now enjoying wingnut largesse over there – a little too sleepy at the moment to recall the name
ps – as a flight attendant for 8+ years, found the Asia to States jetlag the worst – recommend cognac and a hot soak but something tells me you knew that
What a ripe, corrupt assemblage of idiots, fellow-travelers, bloviators, and fascitii and their enablers the solons of our ‘great nation’.
Can the Republic continue to survive with ‘leadership’ and ‘journalism’ such as these provide.
I think not.
Time for big, big changes.
Rethug blonde (Jennifer on MSNBC:
“Obama is to the left of Teddy Kennedy..he’s the most liberal Senator…in the Senate…”
“John McCain just gave the most informed foreign-policy speech …”
BTW, Jennifer will stick around on MSNBC the next hour…and oh, she’s also hot (I say ducking…I’m gonna get inta trouble with Jane again if I keep this hot-shit up…*G*)
translation – his numbers scare the crap out of us !
Well here goes, I’m turning on Fox News Sunday. Wish me luck!
Good Morning all. I think I’ll supress my gag reflex and watch Lieberman this morning. McCain is being revealed as a real ‘know-nothing’ and I want to see if George Steph mentions it. He knows nothing about condoms and AIDS, Iraq and Al Qaeda or financial matters. And of course, there’s that little issue of campaign finance rules.
generally speaking, flights back to the US from Europe and Asia (where time-zones are way ahead of the US) are hareder on the body, ‘coz the mind f*cks you up…the hours disappear, and your body knows that but your mind doesn’t…Example: I once flew from London to New York: left London at 2 PM (GMT) and got to NY at 2:30 PM (ET)..where the fuck did all those hour go?
My own remedy to this particular brand of jetlag: when you get back to the uS, just stay as long as you can on your feet…until you’re ready to drop. You’ll then sleep like a baby and will just be fine when you get up, thank you very much…
BTW, the grapevine says John Edwards will endorse Hillary…go figure…he has personality problem with Obama…
good luck , Ellie!!!
Yea mon, the sexist remarks are too tacky for you.
Al Sadr is calling on his followers to lay down their weapons.
You can borrow the Hazmat suit I use when I read Silly Billy Kristol…
seriously. the incestuousness of wdc — it’s almost akin to a royal court. the nyt had a piece midweek about the reception negroponte received in pakistan from the new kidz in charge. they didn’t mince words about telling uncle sam to back off; and the accompanying photo of negroponte was chilling. it was a close-up of him drinking a glass of water and peering over the rim at some poor unfortunate soul. he clearly was thinking about his glory days in honduras.
Yeah…..
Maybe.
Thing is he forgot his frikin’ coattails!
Oh…my bad…he doan need no coattails it’s all about Barry after all. Always has been always will be.
Oh, Ellie, we’re with you in spirit!
I wonder if the r’s are really gonna take a drubbing next Fall as it seems things like polls about the war and the economy People seem duly pissed at the Rs and I don’t see them getting much support, but you wouldn’t know it from what the MSM says.
Oh I forgot… they love them horsie races don’t they?
The MSM is all about rating and rantings and creating gossip as news. They are are pitiful. The whole lot of them.
How much money do you think it is costing us to have al Sadr stay on the sidelines?
Sorry to rain on lil’ miss witless’es FAUX parade but here’s what Progressive Punch has to say about Barry:
ranks 41st in the Senate
Clinton is 24th
Webb, Feinstein and Ben Nelson rank higher in PP’s ‘Chips are Down’ rankings from which the number rankings about come.
Let’s all try and stop using ReichWing information for our discussions. They are invariably just plain wrong.
Apparently not much, because his people are pissed because they’re not getting paid, like they were promised. I wish I could close a snark tag, but unfortunately it’s not snark. (As for what we’re paying and who we’re actually paying it to, nobody knows.)
Thanks! I’ll need it.
I confess I do get a perverse pleasure out of watching the Fox News “All Stars”
.
and Sander
you got that right!
You think that’s what’s happening? I think it’s the airstrikes. But, admittedly, others know more than I.
Fox News – well Wallace – is now going to talk to a key Democrat that may solve teh nomination deadlock. Hmmm wonder who it is? Wasn’t in the listings.
ahh Superdelegate Tennesee Governor Bredesen
Why should we, would we be paying these militias and warlords? The whole concept is beyond bizarre. And we did it in Afghanistan.
Look how that worked out.
I saw him on C-Span and I liked his idea of having a meeting in June to settle the nomination well before the convention.
now i understand why joe-lie is backing mcsame – it was to get back on the sunday tv. i’d be more pissed off, except that i’m kinda glad to see krugman and reich on the line up.
I am curious about the primary. If Obi has a decent lead and growing after each primary why wait for convention to decide? If he doesn’t get the nod, so many people will feel disenfranchised and pissed off. I don’t see why Hill would drag this out? She has to see how distructive this would be, or unproductive in the goal of taking the WH for the dems. It’s hard to believe she could be so egotistical and her “supporters” would likewise see any wisdom in such an approach. I don’t get it.
She has some rational and intelligent supporters. Is it that they see Obi as so flawed that his candidacy will be a disaster? Is that the basis for their continuing on? But he has a lot of intelligent people supporting him who don’t see that at all. And it’s not as if they put forth radically different agendas. Why the disconnect?
I think Joe is possible gonna switch and wants to be the R VP and lose in both parties.
That would be a fitting legacy for that loserman.
I don’t really understand the Superdelgate rules.
I do think the calls for Hillary to drop out now are unfair. Let the primaries proceed!
(ack Brit Hume just agreed with me bleccch!)
It seems to be just about the only thing neocons know how to do. Not that they do it, or anything else for that matter, effectively…
When Howard Dean is your voice of moderation, you’re in trouble!
$%YU$%($%#$ David Brooks!
It’s a form of outsourcing. We are paying them not to shoot our soldiers, and to shoot each other.
MSNBC must be watching this thread…
Update from Auntie (or the Beeb):
I like that concept. We could simple land in a country with a checkbook and buy the country off instead of bombing the hell out of them. Cheaper and neater.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Villiers
BTW, Jennifer’s back on MSNBC…I can’t manage to get her last name…MSNBC’s refusing to identify her…Alix Witt called her Jennifer…
She said Obama “shouldn’t be going down to the Virgin Islands vacationing, and should instead be up here in the uS campaigning to be prez…”
Well that sounds like a good move in many ways.
They can’t seem to defeat him and he gets all the good press from calling a cease fire.
But he remains a force to be reckoned with and he doesn’t seemed to be going away. Does he?
ahh thanks for that, interesting he played Charles II.
Holy Crap !
ya wanna know why 20% of goopers are leaving Congress ?
why they can’t field senate candidates in Ark and SD ?
…this is our county – Williamson – a Gooper bastion forevuh – in 04 while Kerry was still enjoying his Iowa bounce, we couldn’t get 150 people together
now just look at the crowd at our convention yesterday – this is progressive porn !
Money can’t buy you love, but three-trillion dollars would sure buy a lot of friendship.
Twenty years ago, there weren’t very many of us at all. The demographic changes that have occurred with the explosive population growth have brought the ever popular concept of liberality to the redneck environs of Wilco. The old timers hate, too!
er, The old timers hate IT, too. They remain mired in their love for all things Reaganesque…
are you out here as well ?
I know Im hungover from working a double yesteday but that video made me cry like a baby
and I’m goin’ to State with local congressional candidate – Yee Haw !!!
Tex-ans. . .are doin’ it for themselves. . . everybody sing!
Why put her “supporters” in quotes? We’re not really her supporters?
His lead is not “growing after each primary”. She’s favored in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary, for instance.
You apparently don’t agree with the super delagates’role in picking the nominee, but those are the rules. We can change them before the next election.
I’ll repeat this yet again (I should copy it somewhere so I don’t have to keep retyping it, but I keep thinking the Obama “supporters” will figure it out): Many people think Hillary is much more electable than Obama, and that’s for the super delegates to decide. She won way more swing states and states the Dems have to win in November.
If Obama wins the nomination I will become an Obama “supporter”. In the meantime it’s silly to expect Hil to drop out it’s been decided. It’s just downright silly. And Obama agrees (see the link in my earlier comment)
That is some circle jerk. What a crew!
I lived near Liberty Hill for many years. I moved into Austin in 2001. I am all too well acquainted with old line Williamson County Republican Guard.
You guys must not be old enough to have crossed either the Atlantic or Pacific on prop jobs. Try island hopping the Pacific in a military DC-3 cargo plane where the little canvas seats face aft. Just the leg from Travis AFB in CA to Hickham in HI was an experience.
btw, McAuliffe showed up at our convention and personally lobbied my guy (who is not a super (yet!)) he held fast. now if I can just keep him safe from Rahm’$ gra$p . . .
How long did that take?! wow.
Good morning Elliott, great post and I love twolf’s photo!
I don’t think either should drop away unless it is a benefit to the party or the nation.
I don’t think SDs are democratic and I think setting up that system was ill conceived, but it exists for this cycle at least and unless it is “legally” changed that is how this will be decided.
This is much like the supremes voting for president. Voting is democratic, but at that level it is a perversion of democracy.
I think either would be a good president, though I don’t like many of the stated positions. I am leaning toward Obu because I think he is bringing more new people to participate and that is a good thing if he can keep people engaged in their government. We do need more active electorate. I don’t see the same in Hill. It looks more like a top down wonk led candidacy. I was also troubled by her memory lapses. There is no good explanation for that. Either she cynically lied to polish her record and thought she would not be caught (how dumb!) or she is under so much stress that her memory is faltering. The later is also troubling. I didn’t know about her Bosnia trip, but obviously when you are in the public and running for high office your life in a fish bowl viewed with huge spotlights on it and high powered magnifying glasses. You gotta be careful, Doncha Mr Spitzer?
I never crossed an ocean on a prop plane, but did do the NYC to LA trip a couple of times, with stops in Detroit, Chicago and Las Vegas. Took about 12 hours, as I recall.
Hell, just flying into Dong Tam on a frickin Caribou was enough for me!
WOW that sounds like a tough one. I don’t think military transports are much better these days.
actually ‘hopped’ one (misc cargo) from Travis to Hickham on a regular basis – just a topside and my golf clubs on a thursday night – C5 back home on sunday – my fanny goes numb at the memory
unless you’re Dick Cheney, remember the travel trailer he had “installed” inside a cargo plane?
Morning all…morning Egreg – I love that photo also – we have a lot of red tails here but never get to see them close up. Who knew they had bright blue beaks? Amazing. It’s MIGHTY chilly here in the Southern Tier of NY – 13 when I got up at 7 a.m. But also mighty sunny.
Watch this baby land, it was way worse taking off because they were sooooo slow!
This is pretty far OT, but I’m sure most of us have heard the story about Walmart and Jim and Debbie Shank. I first saw it on Keith, who said he plans to do a story on it daily until Walmart gives them some sort of relief. Anderson Cooper has picked it up as well, and I think I’ve seen it on several other news shows.
I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I am a Walmart customer. I almost have to be because they really do have better prices and I’m on a fixed income. So I’ve been thinking what I could do. I think I’ve come up with a solution. I’m thinking of going in to shop, but to put about double what I want in the cart. Then, when I get to the checkout counter, separate the stuff I actually want to buy from the stuff I won’t be taking and tell the clerk that I’ve decided not to buy this stuff due to Walmart’s treatment of Jim and Debbie Shank. After all, Walmart did say they have shown them some mercy; they’re only taking whatever’s left, not suing for the full amount that their fund paid out. I think that’s about half.
What do you guys think? Could this be a valid way of telling Walmart that they are going to pay a price for taking the next two years of care for Debbie away. Her nursing home is said to cost about $100,000/yr. There’s a little more than $200,000 left (I think it’s been listed as $215K)? I think if a lot of people did this, it would send a message.
reisz at 73 in part says-”You apparently don’t agree with the super delagates’role in picking the nominee, but those are the rules. We can change them before the next election.”
i think you meant ’after’ the next election?
our little local radio station’s show ’viewpoint’ took a quick poll this morning-for whom do you cast your vote?
1st vote
obama or hillary?
hillary won 3/4 of vote over obama.
2nd vote
hillary or mccain
hillary over 3/4 over mccain
3rd vote
obama or mccain
obama over 3/4 over mccain
so, hillary won hands down over obama, but either dem won over mccain.
=======
so, i think quite a few people here would have a problem about changing the primary rules in the middle of the race.
everybody wants others to follow the rules when it is in their interest, scream CHEATERS! if someone isn’t, but when it’s not in their interest to follow them, then, not so much.
isn’t that what we have been fighting against? isn’t it?
that’s what i think every time i see someone trying to change the process in the middle, for whatever reason, no matter how mighty or honorable, i can’t help thinking that they are condoning cheating. sorry, that’s how i feel about it.
and for the next question that will be fired at me after stating that? go dodd.
hey guy…
yo yo
OK, FDL Mods are censoring me again..and all I did was point out that [edited by mod] used to post at FDL, and that she works at [edited by mod], and that she used work for [edited by mod]…
[Mod Note; Revealing personal information of other commenters is grounds for immediate banning at FDL.]
jaysus what a beast !
reminds me a little of the hercs I rode around in Africa – loaded with ‘heavy rice’ or printing presses of course :D
I flew from Travis to Okinawa on a Flying Tigers Lockheed Constellation in 1959. It had to stop at Wake Island, Hickam, and Midway to get there. We flew back in 1963 on a plane that I can’t remember the designation of.
Helllooo!
Hayden on Timmeh makes me wanna barf. What a lying scumbag!
To be honest I don’t remember and it’s a trip I’ve taken many (too many?) times. Close to 24 hours, though. In late 1964 I took the last propeller driven aircraft flown by the Military Air Transport Service (MATS) across the Pacific out of Japan. My compadre opted for a jet but I wasn’t gonna pass this milestone up. When we were gathering speed to take off from Hickam in Hawaii the pilot suddenly hit the brakes and the plane corkscrewed down the runway. He got on the horn and said the hydraulic hazard light had come on and aborted the takeoff. Diamond Head was dead ahead. About 2 hours later all was well and the pilot came into the waiting lounge and said that if anybody wanted to take another flight he would understand. All the Army and Air Force guys opted for the next jet. All the sailors and Marines stayed with the prop job. Once we got airborne the copilot opened up the compartment at the rear of the aircraft and showed us the cases of beer they had stocked for those who had decided to stick with them. We had a great flight into Travis.
If you’ve ever seen a picture of the Constellation that was a real treat to fly on.
I agree with BioDun. Stay on your feet until you drop. End of jetlag.
hey there, friend…
Let me trow out a cuppa, tree things.
First, we are talking about the POTUS, which controls hundreds of billions of dollars of discretionary spending. My mind boggles at the amount of goodies you can hand out to friends.
Secondly, this is probably her last legitimate shot without age becoming an issue.
And in closing, this is all about staying in the game long enough in case the Big Disclosure happens to Sen. Obama and makes him unelectable.
You know, like being found doing unsavory things with hamsters.
you mean this Constellation?
it’s a beauty
Hi Biodun. You still in Hong Kong?
Yo Raven.
Aw, man, I loved me some Huey’s. I’ll get into a helo any day. Any. Day.
Fly at treetop level, draw some fire and hose Charlie with the door guns.
In that clip, see the two riverine craft? Those were my babies. Modified LCM’s. Had to be kinda crazy to keep goin’ back to that shit.
…the flight from Beijing (or Hong Kong) to LAX is 16 hours and some change…the longest nonstop flight in the world is from LAX to Singapore…18 1/2 hours…the flight from LAX to Sydney is 18 hours…I’ve taken them all…and drank free booze on them all…and…I’ve also ..well, let’s leave that one to the imagination: let’s just say I was horizontal…*G*–just know that these are looooong lights, and things do happen…
yep–heading to snowy Minneapolis on Wednesday…
There is a picture in a book called “Requiem” Photographers-Died-Vietnam-Indochina that has a shot of one that got hit by a friendly 105. It’s tail has separated and it’s on it way down. Stunning shot.
Yup, that’s the one.
Did Kerry just say that universal health care is a non-starter in the Senate?
Yea, give me a slick any day. I especially liked flying on the deck on the rivers. My old man was an APD “Green Dragon” sailor who was the radioman on LCVP’s on pacific landings. . .nice work but better than having to unass them when they hit the beach.
…did you ever fly into Hong Kong at the old airport? Kai Tak? …you fly so close to the buildings that you can see inta some apartments…pilots are trained specifically to land at Kai Tak…now the new airport is way out at Lantau Island…a 40-minute train ride into Victoria Island (downtown Hong Kong)…
btw Elliot -
this . . . is all your fault ! you linked to a certain kitteh site the other day and now I’m hopelessly hooked . well at least I finally know what the college girl is talking about. thanks a lot ;D
Safe travels, friend.
Good one for a Talking Heads thread: NPR: National Pentagon Radio?
Doesn’t dive to deep but hard to resist the title of the post.
I’ve been thinking about the WalMart scandal too. My thinking is that there are some things that should not be legal. And this is one of them. So, let’s say WalMart caves in this case but that clause remains in their insurance policy. That’s not good enough for me. Congress needs to address this and make such action illegal.
I mean,…. really,….. an insurance company (who’s been paid a premium) suing for the expense of the care they are supposed to pay. In what bizarro world does this make sense?
dear God…Michelle Cottle is on Howie’s Reliable Sources…with Amy Holmes..two hot women, and quite intelligent as well…as I said: I need to stop this hot stuff…otherwise I get inta trouble with my Jane again…(paging SanderO!!!)
THAT is adorable!
It is hard to stop once you get started over there. I do believe it was LoudounLib who first turned me on to lolcat but my boss always send them to me, keeps the day fun!
Interesting, I see Michael Hayden says that they have decided as an agency to provide their agents with insurance against prosecution for any perceived crimes they may be asked to commit in the course of doing their jobs. To me that amounts to a standing legal defense fund. It will be for things going forward; he said it does not provide them with retroactive insurance. So no retroactive immunity from prosecution for the CIA agents, but they still want it for telecoms? Interesting.
Thanks!!! you want me to stop in on you sometime? I have the means to do that you know…maybe we can hit some bars together…you’ve talked in threads about drinking while you were in college…*g*
lovin’ the stories this morning. thanks.
(first time i ever flew was in a helicopter, two-seater, we hopped and skipped our way all over the place. loved when it titled and swooped during take-off, ’bout peed my pants every time, nothing else like it.)
The agents are property of the gov’t. The telecoms, not so much anymore.
station change!
I will not watch Lieberman
I love to see the Democrats breaking out all over the US. I just don’t see that this many people will cut and run from our nominee come November. So the primary and caucus action is great, think about how it motivates participation.
That is the best part. We need to keep our sniping to a minimum.
…it’s almost 11 PM Sunday night here…time to hit the nightclubs in SoHo…(south of Hollywood) in downtown HK…on Victoria Island…
Indeed I have. That’s an experience one does not forget. Probably the only times I came close to praying on an aircraft. But I went in with my eyes open. Bein’ a young sailor I was always looking for something racy in one of the apartment windows. No such luck.
Get your party on Bio!
and on a loosely related southeast asian note: Dith Pran passed away yesterday
..you’re welcome…see you FDLers soon…be good…don’t snipe at each other…respect the opinions of others even if you don’t agree with them, and BTW, please, please, rout for my candidate…who happens to be different-looking this election cycle…(oops sorry…)
FDL Mods are still censoring me..two so far…better get outta here…
I’ll watch so you don’t have to.
dmac, I’d need a barf bag if I rode in a helicopter! but it must have been exciting.
my first flight was all the way to Cleveland so I could go to summer camp with my twin cousin. I was just a kid and had to fly all by myself, but the stewardesses were nice and didn’t lose me (they were not flight attendants then). The month at camp was a blast even if we did have a creepy dance with the neighboring cootie boy camp.
Most exciting aircraft experience for me, hands down, was a trip I took to a trade show in Atlanta in our company plane, which seated four and was something referred to as a “push/pull” – that is, the props were on the front and rear of the cockpit rather than one on either wing. The pilot, our president, liked it because he said that if one of the engines cut out, the plane would not go crazy unbalanced. The exciting part came when we tried to land at the airport and kept getting told to pull up by the tower because of a herd of deer which was terrorizing the runways.
I know this is supposedly a free country, but I never understand why African Americans — such as Amy Holmes on “Reliable Sources” this morning, or Rev. Joe Watkins who is a regular on MSNBC — are so comfortable carrying water for Republicans.
I remember reading the late, great Mike Royko’s observation about a Rethug convention he attended (late 80’s – early 90’s) where he said the only role for minorities was to “fetch hot coffee.”
As I understand it, there are no Republican AA office holders in Congress.
In either house, almost 600 elected officials and not one.
In 2008.
So how do they gloss over this, and smile before the cameras?
Why does Liarman get to chair a dem committee.
Because Reid is a fool.
George will just said he forbid his children from using the word “fair” for fear they’d become liberals
Christy’s upstairs!
elliot LOL
yeah, the helicopter ride was because i had never flown, and was going to houston the next week, so when a friend found out i had never flown, he kidnapped me, said my first flight should be in a helicopter.
he was right.
he was a vvet.
it was a blast.
the flight to houston was boring boring boring after that.
i fell in love with flying. the take-off and the landings, of course.

when cable first came out, (cable tv, not you!) one of the first viewers choice movies was the killing fields……uncommon valor was the other.
i watched them both 10 times. at least. back then, movies ran two weeks. then went to hbo, etc. well, i couldn’t wait that long, i was obsessed.
back then, it was unheard of to pay for a movie extra, you waited until it came out on hbo.
i watched those movies over and over and over. late at night after work. into the night.
before vcr’s.

I can’t believe Michal Hayden is the spymaster. He’s got the world’s worst poker face. He was biting his lip, twitching his eye, blinking excessively everytime he answered.

I know!
I remember that from his confirmation hearings.
Watching him talk is like watching a cat throw up hairballs. It’s disgusting how he hides behind the uniform filled with the honor bought by brave veterans.
The Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy Extends to The CIA when on Meet The Press, Director Michael Hayden was asked if his agency is currently torturing detainees. He tells Tim Russert, “The real answer is, and I’m going to be very candid, I have no idea. And you know why? Because I have not asked, and I know that previous opinions may no longer be extant because there have been a series of changes in American law since those opinions were issued.”

Looking to The Brain that Brooks No Reason for advice on ANYTHING is only advisable for serious partakers of Wing-Nut Kool-Aid!!!
It’s incredible he would say that. He is truly a Know Nothing.
On Chris Matthews they were saying that Hillary has the older vote and Obama has the younger vote. I bet Hill’s strategy for Pennsylvania is Free Pot! “Dude, were we supposed to do something today, heh, heh?”
