Unless we force them to notice . I’ve tried to get a political street theater company going here in Boise to elucidate the public on the RePIG Brand but local activists don’t understand the concept yet .

Picture “bush” and “cheney” waltzing thu a lunch-time crowd , trample a (drop-cloth protected) map of Iraq after stepping in red tempura paint , as “John McBush” cuts in and they dance with huge galoshes on (to protect the pavement and denote “media protection”) thru the people drawing confused stares then walk with the “red shoes” on pictures of abstract children to symbolize the debt and death that Bush!t has imposed on them and McBush will continue. Or sump-in’ like that .

I could envision that a 30-50 city day of street theater pushing our message would HAVE 2 GET MEDIA ATTENTION .

Right ?

My sense is that the hatred of gays is that homosexual behavior is so far from the “biblical” purpose of sex that it shows that sexual activity and be playful… not related to procreation.

Even straights accept the notion of recreational sexual activity, but elevating sex to this role seems to undermine one of the foundation pillars of the religious right which seeks to control the thinking and the behavior of the people.

I’ve never cared about what people do for the sexual thrills and usually I simply don’t want to know about it, since I believe sex is one thing which we should do “in private” and discretely, whatever we do. So I am not a fan of public “sex” and not terribly thrilled with sexuality displays in public either because it seems to be a distraction. Sex has its place but not front and center. There are more important human rights issues we all need to deal with.

Having said that, homosexuals, aside from the sexual activity are no different than the rest. They do their jobs, and love and hate and what’s the big deal. Why should anyone’s sexual activity matter to you whether they are straight, gay, bi kinky, abstinent? Really, who the eff cares?

And just to remind the gay haters, homosexuals have produced some of the greatest art and science which has made the lives of everyone better. Get over it and mind your own business!

amen. imo, it’s not the choice we make so much as the process we go through to get to that choice. and trying to keep an open mind so that we can take in new data is part of that – i’ll be cheering loo hoo on no matter what choice she makes…. because she is doing it thoughtfully.
