I’m a member of a Knitting Liberally group over at the knitting online community, Ravelry. I joined to late for the bears, though. I don’t know if knitters and fiber artists tend liberal or not, but there are certainly plenty of us out here!

So, a lot of these things exist. Screening Liberally and Eating Liberally are ongoing throughout the country, aas part of the Living Liberally empire. The community service-oriented events for liberals is part of an organization called Democrats Work.

There are some great community-building groups out in meatspace that organize online. It’s one of the more exciting things about our movement.

For Loo Hoo:

BLUE CHEESE DRESSING from: Sacred Heart Cathedral
Gallup, NM

8 oz. sour cream - approx. 1 C.
1/3 C olive oil (preferably not one of the cheaper ones)
1 1/2 t. dry mustard (I prefer Colman’s)
1/4 t. ground pepper
1/4 C. lemon juice (approx. 1 med. lemon)
1/4 lb. Roqueford or blue cheese (crumbled)

Combine ingredients & beat well. Add cheese last.
Keeps well in frigerator.

Notes:
1. You can increase quantity of mustard and/or cheese slightly if desired but suggest taste testing after mixing first batch before doing so.
2. I prefer fresh lemon vs. the bottled stuff.
3. It does NOT keep as well as commercial bottled dressings but, if you like it, it won’t have time to go “bad”. *g*

i have no desire to romanticize anyone. it’s just that i’m a little irked when claims are made as fact – when the facts aren’t actually know. especially when we might be creating a false history that leaves trex out. i happen to miss him and am not comfortable with leaving him out of our history.
