it’s not the government, but we had different levels of access. we signed privacy agreements after reading all the laws you would be breaking if you violated them.

outside techs had a whole different added set of rules but on the office side-

necessary general access by service reps and office people were things like address and phone number, those could be accessed and were just on your computer, no password necessary….there were a few cases where ex’es accessed their ex’es info to get new add or phone number, and were fired and prosecuted for it.

but further records were an ’as needed’ basis.

whatever level you were at had a password for each system, and only had passwords for what you needed to do your specific job.

lose or forget your password was a big deal. went in your file.

printouts of who accessed what and when went to higher ups every single day.

no freakin’ way they didn’t know that someone accessed that system. and no freakin’ way they didn’t know the rules and signed a form stating that. no way.

Is that the legacy he wants to leave ?

He can’t say that waterboarding is torture and he can’t initiate investigations ?!!
