Evenin’ Folks! What’s up tonight?
Floyd *said with lots of reverb*
Suz!
You’re the best Suzanne, feeding my Gilmore need tonight!
The only way I will ever get the first comment on a thread with this old laptop is if everyone had a sudden need to use the bathroom all at the precise moment before it was posted.
Lol.
i just wanna know – when did they get so forking ‘mature’ looking.
I just watched Conan….not good..covert racist crappolla..
Solution: Never again.
Love this song, Suzanne! Takes me back to a much simpler time in my life.
He just turned 64 last week was it?
I looked in the mirror yesterday at an old man, my beard is almost completely white now.
takes me back to when i was much younger
Any predictions for America?
Bush won’t be President next year.
Speaking of serious money…
http://www.reuters.com/article…..4020080319
he’s been that way for almost ever! i had to go long ago
another case of ‘old nude photos’ surfacing at a financially inappropriate time
Dugg
thanks dood.. did you see that teddy posted the pics downstairs at comment 144?
boy
ain’t THAT the truth.
rmember? I do!
She’s got the Dr. Laura thing going on.
Good for her, the poor dear!
yeh, but that wont much matter if his damage doesn’t get UNDONE!
A case study in the exuberance of youth and Girls Gone Wild exploiting our youth…!
No but will check them out….Thanks for heads up… :>)
Hey lateniters, can’t stay, just wanted to say hidy.
and it coming back to haunt ya – even when you are one of america’s most famous hookers. geez, even hookers getting tripped up by old nude photos
hey dosido
Does anyone remember Bill Graham’s concerts at the Oakland Coliseum or the San Fran Cow Palace? I saw Pink in 78 or 79. Oops, I guess my age is showing, sorry.
Aw, its been awhile since I crossed threads with ya dosido…!
Yo Ho Dosido!
Positively dripping with irony…!
i remember them. the oakland shows were called day on the green, iirc.
sorry, i’ll get a mop
are you familiar with wolfgangsvault.com ?
Born and raised on Graham and never once saw the Floyd.
i get wolfgang’s weekly newsletter – way forking cool
There are certain body parts that I am currently not using that I would gladly give to see pink Floyd in concert.
I did get o see the Australian Pink Floyd Show, otherwise known as Aussie Floyd.
Pretty damn close, they play note for note with the most awesome light some of the original big air balloon props like The Pig.
Awesome concert.
Yeah, Cheney will be though… :-(
Have a good night folks, just woke up in my chair, slobbering.
Light show, fork.
My only sibling is my sister named Kristen, I sent her an email saying she was all over the news, somehow, she didn’t find the humor in it…! ;-)
i loved the boz performance posted last week. didya ever see the movie Fillmore: The last days ?
g’nite q
ct – be thankful that she let you live
Yup… I sure miss those old days, I really think MTv ruined the days of the travelling rock shows. we used to get at least 5 different bands starting at 10:00 am and ending at about 9:30 pm… ahhh good times, good times.
i’ve not seen the movie – have the 2cd set from the last days of the filmore tho.
Aloha, Quebecois!
no, but it sounds good though
Day on the Green were great
You see the Stones in ‘79?
2 hours late and Mick as buzzed as I have ever seen him…
1988 in Los Angeles was tha last time i saw Pink Floyd.
like most concerts from back in the day, if you can remember it…
I’m with busted. Body parts for tix.
I am, however, blessed with a pristine set of vinyl.
I saw the Stone in 81 at the Stick,I still have the ticket stub. the only concert before then at CandelStick park was the Beatles
*zipping lips shut and pinkie swearing to self* i will not ask what body parts i will not ask what body parts i will not ask what body parts
i saw the beatles at candlestick – small world :)
Missed that one daym
I was there, too.
We tore up the grass pretty well, just in time for the 49ers first winning campaign in the coming weeks!
I saw the Stones three times, and, I was only disappointed once, in ‘98 at Aloha Stadium, Keith Richards must’ve just snorted his dad’s ashes because he was staggering all around the stage…
*bows and scurries into corner*
Wow!
it flopped. they held the release of it until the album was released and everyone forgot about the movie. but it was good. i took film class at marquette u. and the instructors brother made the movie. the class saw a private screening!
dang – is it out on dvd?
That one was at the Coliseum.
The ride home was interesting.
how long was the concert at the Beatles Candelstick show? I heard it was only about 30 minutes of music and then gone.
in 1972
don’t know
oh geez, i was like 12. i know there was a buttload of acts before they came out… was my first concert and i have no idea how long they played – i know i had no voice at the end of the event
good enough, my buddy John has some old grainy photos of the Beatles show in SF.
screaming teenage girls. sheesh!!!
yeah, my mom and dad made me drag along my little sister (8) and they dropped us off. they parked the station wagon on a side street with a great view of the field and watched and heard it all for free. when it was over, they drove back to the stick and picked us up.
if it’s not too late i’m ducking now1
boy I feel old now, that and the fact i have a new hip and mostly grey beard. 30 years went fast, to fast.
does no good to duck – tonight i’m firing low
Oh suze, I would have given any body part to see the Beatles back then. I have new respect for you. Even if we were both 12!
I have Stairway to Heaven playing on another tab. Money made me think of it. (I am also battling a cat who keeps walking across the keyboard.)
i’ve got a fake knee, 5 bulging discs and i’m not gonna mention where i found gray hair but it was a forking shock let me tell ya!
Speaking of “screaming teenage girls,” where’s jayt?
Oh, must be at Lamaze class…
took up almost all of my summer babysiting money for the tickets (had to pay for mine and my sister in order for my parents to agree to let me go)
SPEW!
The shock was seeing that ancient band playing up top – those Pink Floyd guys
I found one on my chest recently.
Oh the humanity!
Tattoo You tour in Boulder, CO., Steel Wheels tour in Foxboro, MA., and, Bridge to Babylon in Aloha Stadium…
LOL
at above comments, many of them
Damn! ducked when i should have jumped!
I’m afraid to ask which of the things Suzanne listed you found . . .
I saw the STP tour, back before you were born, young’n.;)
I dont want to know LOL
as well he should be.
Dayum, it gets late hanging out with this crowd. Or am I getting old, too. Whichever. I’ve got to get to bed. Adios amigos.
that was like early 70’s?
i’m just thankful that i’m not his lamaze coach or the lamaze coach who gets to explain the birth process to him.
g’nite gnome
it’s going to be a damn big surprise to the coach too.
I had my lower back fused to my pelvis when I was twenty five, I still have both of my knee’s, that would leave the gray hair.
*G*
the
ob-gynurologist is gonna have a lot of post birth repair work to do.Having had children yourself, I would have thought you would have taken perverse pleasure in describing the “hard work” a’comin’…
Yes, it was summer of 1972.
innocent look
Yes’m, I’m a young’un…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8-yusZDtTU
did he ever go see a doc?
Seriously..
My sister who lives in Tucson is a Bradley Birthing coach.
She coached Native American women on local reservations in this method and encouraged the expectant mothers to refuse the government-proscribed C-sections.
The percentages of C-sections to natural births approached 80%.
not that i am aware of – he suddenly claimed his ankles were no longer swollen iirc
that rules. Tattoo You was my favorite Stones album.
newton, i learned bradley from the midwives at sf general when i had the bride to be. worked well enough i used it again when i had baby girl 11 years later.
jeez, in htat vid keith actually looks as if he has some blood flow and of course charlie never breaks a sweat.
Hey pups – Blue Texan’s piece from earlier today, Republicans: Only Our Pastors Are Allowed To Say Crazy Shit is climbing the DIGG charts big time.
DIGG in!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjbopmt11lw
Ok time to go, nite pups.
nite 31tudor
g’nite 31tudor
ouch. sorry you don’t like the music i selected tonight. guess i can’t please everyone all the time.
Wow, I just have to delurk. What a funny conversation.
The Stones in ‘81 in Denver was my swan song to huge rock and roll shows. Realized that it was a “been there, done that” moment.
And yeah, kneesles, lumbar vertebrae, neck vertebrae…. I spent an enormous amount of energy getting this fucked up !!!
Dang it, I can’t get the Digg page to load but this is at the top of the page;

Probably some Wingnuts with their nose bent out of joint.
Lol.
OK, Gnite.
Pretty please?
Hopefully, we don’t do Imus (anymore) in this time slot.
busted, i think of that red warning as a sure fire indication of it touched a nerve on the r side.
Fuck’em.
i had my moment when i realized i no longer could do lawn seats but wanted a comfy seat
In USAF basic training, one guy in my section had enough money to buy a boom box and two cassetes. “Dark side of the Moon” and “Frampton Comes Alive”. Thirty some years later and I still cringe at those two albums.
and the horse they are too scared to ride
Suz – I believe BT’s piece struck at their core. The truth sucks ass, you know, that well known Liberal bias and all.
Poor Goopers! We knew them when…
like someone wanting to play engima at a kink party (shrudder)
Did ya see U2 at Red Rocks, too… That I considered the best live performance I ever saw…! *g*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzRwK79SkCU
perhaps you will like my selection for thursday. i am not, however, going to change the music video at the top of this post.
Yeah, that and the nasty little frat boys behind us who weren’t even born when the Stones raged onto the music scene.
They puked all over me. I was done.I love live music still , but not the mega scene.
My first concert was the Who doing Tommy. With this weird guy in a tp hat opening – Leon Russell.
i was at an aerosmith show found the rude drunks a way bigger problem than i had previously remembered concerts. have only gone to a few concerts since – last one was clapton with robert randolph opening for him.
No, unfortunately. Red Rocks has a seriously special effect on musicians. It’s an incredible place.
I did see Bruce Springstein there.
It is an awesome place… It seems to bring out the best, that performance was before their breakout album, Unforgettable Fire…
From the best live show I ever saw.
Nothing even comes close.
In two parts, for obvious reasons.
Part 1
part 2
So Pups! Vernal Equinox tomorrow at 10:49 PM pacific…a charge right into firey Aries, time to get rolling on all the projects we’ve been waiting to start and haven’t. this’ll give us the blast off.
For me it means transiting Aries Sun will conjunct my natal Mars in Aries for a few days.
Fire Fire Fire, yeah!
hey spidey

Los Angeles!
LOL!
Dood! I saw him perform this live in Mannheim, FRG…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VMzkn-h8Z4
Hey, goodnight all. I’m going to the big city with the youths tomorrow.
Used to be I was leading them. Now they lead. They want to get an early start on the recruitment centers.
I’m the 53 y/o housewife walking between them and about a zillion cops.
I love it !!!
I wish it wasn’t happening . But I am in awe of the young people we meet at these citizen gatherings.
g’nite and safe marching tomorrow and remember, the nicer your outfit (think church or business attire), the less chance you have of being clubbed.
…gee…that doesn’t say much for the clubbers
just passing on my observations of the dynamics of protestors/cops
Very nice.
Less is more. Perfect performer.
Actually, I was debating wearing my titanium- toed ” horse boots”. The rumor is that there’ll be an aggressive pro-war group showing up. I’m thinking Cheney’s Gathering of Eagles assholes.
Oh,…what’s a woman to wear ????
Kevlar, might work…! Good Luck and God Bless…! *g*
pearls go well with kevlar
Newton, this was another performer I saw in Germany, singing this song…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZyxYL753w4
any Aries in the pool tonight?
This is true. And if the shit hits the fan, I can caste my pearls before swine !!
Peace.
hahahahaha g’nite and stay safe
peace and safety
advise – take some chewing gum
I see that Frontline is doing a rehash of the credit card fiasco…! I shall bid ya’ll another fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!
nite tuttle
aloha ct
My son’s 17th birthday is 3/19.
Any tips you can pass on would be really appreciated.
hello and goodnight all… big day tomorrow you know. hi suzanne! thanks for the clip. sometimes I wonder if maybe I shouldn’t have given Syd all that acid when we were kids…
hey scarlet (laughing)
scarlet!
happy travels, dude!
{{{{{{Scarlet}}}}}
hi NPB!
happy birthday to your son, margot
Nice! Not many remember him and he was great…
The concert I always brag about was indoors, Fillmore West:
Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop on guitar.
Rahsaan Roland KIrk with his two saxes
and….
The Doors…
…first performance in Northern Calif.
$5.00 to get in.
That was a mind expander.
Close second was Stones ‘72, I think, Fillmore West…my printing/’smash the state’ revolutionary buddies struck a blow for the common man and counterfeited tickets. I and many pals went to every show…..heh….MIck was pissed as the door count showed they’d been had.
Thanks, Suz.
ACitizen, I remember the Stones ticket price in 72 was a scandalous six whole dollars.
I’m thinking I paid $3.75 each for those two beatles tickets(?) maybe. i know i was only earning $.50/hour babysitting.
that’s it for me, pups. thanks for hanging with me tonight.
nite suzanne
Just passing through … Seems to me they started trying things like printing tickets on multicolored laminated papers around then.
Never did get to Fillmore East, but saw lots and lots of jazz. Concerts at the Beacon, including RRKirk. Alas he’s gone, but I hear there are still concerts at the Beacon. LaBelle at the Harkness —did Patti ever know how to make an entrance! Freddie Hubbard at Slug’s. Ahmad Jamal swinging at a nearly empty Wells’, with Arthur Prysock lounging at the bar on his night off. Sitting right up by Herbie Hancock’s piano with my date one night at the Vanguard. Gary Bartz with a still little-known Andy Bey out in Brooklyn at The East.
Wow, now that I think about it, many, many great times! And one real disappointment: walking into the Bottom Line to see Miles Davis, at last!, less than 5 minutes before he jumped off the little stage to have a word with someone in the audience, and fractured his hip. That night he retired for the next few years, and I never did get to hear him live.
Oh, what a crusher!
im out pups
Morning, all….
