Phenomenal!” All that needs to happen is Cheney and his minions keep repeating this crap and reporters keep reporting on them repeating this crap (that is, the “reporters” credulously keep reporting on them repeating this crap) so that it becomes “true” enough.

It apparently is working too. The press avoids reporting on the facts in Iraq (no real Iraq Debacle news, no front page reports) and only repeats (stenographically) what Cheney and Bush and Kristol keep saying about Iraq and it magically becomes widely accepted as true.

Iraq is going great because that is what the “leadership” keeps repeating authoritatively over and over (while the Dems let the Iraq Debacle fall to the far far back burner and remain largely silent). The press does its usual stenography and that’s it. The surge is working, the coming “pause” in the de-surge can be extended indefinitely, bodies can keep piling up, and the citizens and everyone in government goes about their merry way! Woohoo!
