Shoulda paid attention to my spell check eh?
Club 8… says under the vid
Club 8 is the band name.
Nice.
Evening Eureka!
on my mind, well i just showed mr wobbs, Danny boy as sung by the muppets and i’m wondering (outside the death of jim henson) why it was taken off the air
Let me help ya out with a paddle.
Obama’s speech on race and religion tomorrow at 10:15am EST if anybody’s interested. Could be pretty powerful.
Eureka! Beautiful.
I don’t know a lot about Patty music.. No decent Van Morrisson irish stuff on ytube..and i am part Irish and Welsh.. tsk tsk..

;)
Because we lost appreciation of the art of satire. The Muppet show was one of the last bastions of that. It’s part of why i’m a fan of dry sarcasm and wit to this DAY. I remember the 90s ressurrection of the show, didn’t quite nail the same vibe. The snark had been diluted as well, which bothered me. SNL just doesn’t have the same flavor of it for me, it’s too obvious. Then again, i grew up with british wit and humor…
Nice choice, ES. I’ll dig up another of my favorites for ya too in a bit. ^_^
I am having trouble with Digg. When I get to the place where you are supposed to prove that you are human, I no longer can see the box with five numbers or letters in it. And when I use the audio version, I have a hard time hearing the words clearly and sometimes have to do it 4 or 5 times to get it right. Also, it no longer shows me the picture choices.
Anybody know what’s up with that?
I stayed sober one more day.
No mean feat, I’m Irish and today used to be my favorite holiday.
nothin
congrats on another day busted.
Went to an Irish pub, ate a reuben sandwich, drank beer, watched the people get crazy
congrats busted. some days are harder than others for sure.
neuro, have you tried to clear your cache? digg was having button trouble late last nite too iirc
My student got shimmering clover stickers if they wrote a nice story about how the leprechans found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Here is where I reveal my ignorance. How do you clear a cache?
My 2 cents:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO84Mjt7Xu0
Digg is off and on. Not perfected yet, I’m guessing.
Mac or PC, and which browser?
what browswer are you using?
You aren’t really human???
Howdy Progressives,
Are any of you members of Progressive Democrats of America? http://www.pdamerica.org/
I’m being courted by one of their state organizers here in Oregon to help run a chapter in Central Oregon and I’d be interested to hear what others have experienced by associating with this group.

The main thrust this campaign season for PDA seems to be “Healthcare, Not Warfare”. They have in mind to support a single-payer system that I don’t quite understand yet, but that seems a hell of a lot better than the bandaid that Barack wants to apply, or the odious serf tax that Hillary wants to impose to make the poor pay through the nose to make a bloated, ridiculously overpaid medical fraud system even more unfair.
Comments welcomed.
dayam, how many do i owe ya now?
)))Busted!(((
Here is one of my favorite singers, an Irish artist named Eleanor McEvoy
It beats the alternative.

Dell PC. Right now I’m using Firefox. I sometimes use Internet Explorer.
LOL
firefox – toolbar up top, click on tools and then click on clear private data
Hi Ray.
Please tell us that you’re not here to just kick ass on Senators Clinton and Obama…
If you aren’t here for that, I will offer comments.
yes, but how do you really feel?
sorry, that was for neuro
thanks, Suzanne. now I will have to wait until there is a new post to Digg so I can see whether that worked.
In honor of it bein St. Patricks day and all, here is a taste of what I went and saw last week in the front row.
Notice the crowd and imagine free whiskey has been flowing for a couple of hours.
Flogging Molly!
LOL, I forgot all about that one..)
Single payer is the best way to go fer sure, unless you’re Big Pharma…! ;-)
If you go to this YouTube at about 3:44 into it, you can here a good version of Raggle Taggle Gypsy-0. I love that song!
makes me doubly glad i stay inside today and tonight
I considered posting Flogging Molly, but I didn’t think folks would like my favorites of theirs, the punk(y) stuff.
It’s a load of fun, the band has a great time, I’m just gettin too old fer the Mosh pit crowd.
Or Big Insurance?
It’s great fun music for the most part, I love it.
Have you tried The Tossers yet, or Dropkick Murphy’s?
Heh, and them…!
Drop kick, yes.. Never heard of The Trossers.
Eureka Springs!
It just came to my attention that someone has started a page at the Obama website titled black panthers. I know damn well the Obama campaign doesn’t know it. Anybody have any ideas how we can alert their blog team. I did a report to admin, but that doesn’t seem like enough. I would hate to see this across the internet.
http://my.barackobama.com/page…..lic/gGrXCt
night all. have a work meeting in the morning. let’s hope for sleep.
Try The Tossers, their kind of new, a lot of their stuff starts out slow and then goes for it, almost like two different songs in one.
nite betsy
congrats
They are, they’re. Crrrrrrop, my spellings gone to hell tonight.
Yo! You know, I’ve been thinking. maybe Democrats should only nominate former porn stars.. the GOPers heads would immediately explode..and they could never top it.
I’m tryin.
pain free sleep wishes tex
Happy Saint Patrick’s day to ya, yer all honorary Irishman today.
You do know why God invented whiskey, right?
So the Irish wouldn’t rule the world.
Get ready for the Elton and Hillary show… (I kid you not…)

tis lovely ear candy and eye candy
What a bunch of evil morons.
Here’s my quarter for the jukebox. Japanese fare, as usual.
A bit of interesting infusion from Suga Shikao.

Somehow the groove just lives. He’s a student of many blues/jazz styles, and it shows. But this…oh dear gods. You wouldn’t get the video of the show that song is the theme of. But it suits it perfectly. Dark, surreal and maddening in the hints. I can’t show you the promo video because it’s not set up for unregistered watchers. It’s been slapped with a Mature Watchers rating. ^_^;; But if you like surrealism? Watch the vid, if not? Enjoy the music. This was a permanent earworm for a good 3 months of my life about 2 years ago. XD
Good evening all. I don’t post here much, but I do like the company here at this time of night. And as I’m reading and thinking about the Irish, and what it is that I like about ‘em, besides the usual, like that the best bars and the best bartenders I’ve ever known, the whole world over, were Irish (or Slovakian!). And what occurred to me is that I could not possibly have gotten through the trauma of the last 7 years without a couple of Irish writers. GB Shaw must be mentioned, but the real medicine has been Samuel Beckett, and it’s to him that I’d like to toast the Beamish that I drove out of county for and have illegally smuggled back in.
“James Joyce was a synthesizer, trying to bring in as much as he could. I am an analyzer, trying to leave out as much as I can.”
“It is right that he too should have his little chronicle, his memories, his reason, and be able to recognize the good in the bad, the bad in the worst, and so grow gently old down all the unchanging days, and die one day like any other day, only shorter.”
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.”
“The fact would seem to be, if in my situation one may speak of facts, not only that I shall have to speak of things of which I cannot speak, but also, which is even more interesting, but also that I, which is if possible even more interesting, that I shall have to, I forget, no matter. And at the same time I am obliged to speak. I shall never be silent. Never.”
Beckett (The Unnamable, 331-332)
KO is one at 1 am in NW Arkansas.
fork
I agree. Sigh.
That’s on top of yesterday’s rate cut!
tis in the que and will be going up next – thanks ct
OMG. Fasten yer seatbelts…
This is really getting tedious..I don’t like riding Space Friggin’ Mountain every friggin’ day….this is not good.
Stick together everybody.
Give it back!!
please bring your seats to an upright position and fasten your seatbelts. its going to be a bumpy ride so strap in and hang on.
Should we be writing our congresscritters and telling them to quit bailing out the millionaires and billionaires? /s
have you ever said “spork?”
Honestly, how much more can they cut? minus one percent???? WTF?
perhaps we can be heard, just as horton hears a who heard. odds are about the same i fear

OK, Countdown now in the Midwest
Well I’ve got some real thunder and lightning going on, I’m going to shut down, Aloha Oe!!!
alhoa ct – stay dry and hunker down until it passes
guess so. I got a titanium one from REI in my Xmas stocking.
Wow, I was all mellowed out, now I’m all freaked out. Mellowed out was definitely better.
Geesh.
Me too. Power just went off and right back on. Laptop and cell phone internet rocks in this scenario.
great for chunky soups.
Replay Club 8 when stressed..)
i’ve been learning to take deep breaths and try to remain calm when all is crumpling down around me. doesn’t help the collapse but helps keep me sane.
No shizzola!!
Every time I turn around reality changes! Ummm…I knew that….
countdown on here on the left coast
spork crime:
A man accused of attempting an armed robbery with what appears to have been a spork was arrested Monday night, when police say they placed him at the scene of the crime through the use of KFC bags…
good evening, i’m a new beckett fan (just introduced to him last year)
It is pretty crazy that is for sure. I’m like you, I’ve learned all kinds of anxiety relieving techniques…and I’m not invested in the market at all…calming breaths….
Stick together.
I so HAVE to read this
Read what?
D’Oh.
plastic sporks (laughing) are given out by KFC with their smashed potatos
whole lotta sporkin’ goin’ on
did you see I got my asterisk back. my newer laptop is on the fritz. I pulled out my older one, which I hadn’t blogged with since fdl changed software. after registering this computer with fdl, the asterisk was miraculously back. I may be the only pup that has one these days.
spoil spork
yes i did… mysterious things happen all the time. patrick 4/4 got his / back – you have your *.
if it weren’t for 40 billion of our tax dollars, Bear/Sterns would be a sporking asterisk right now.
*****************************************************************************
If you google “spork incident” our very own Eli’s blog is second in the results. But http://multi-medium.net/2006/0…..k-incident
it doesn’t load correctly.
they got the gold mine and we got the shaft
I do believe that is an inappropriate topic for this blog.
I appreciate your “concern”
I can’t recall which novel it was, but KV used the asterick to symbolize “asshole”… maybe Breakfast of Champions.
Yes, I remember that and I believe you are correct about which book
*** Bush ***
hahahahaaaa! following that exchange up the thread was brilliant. and you’re right, it was BoC.
Wobblybits @ 114 – I read the plays when I was younger, but someone suggested I read Malloy/Mallone Dies/The Unnameable a few years ago and it reverberated somewhere in my core.
What have you enjoyed?
From “Breakfast of Champions“
Yes!
KV’s last words of advice about the impending decline of our state, “Join A gang.”
A gang.
thank you db
Genius.
The evening music entry needs a dose of the real deal.

Something to make us geezers happy.
Tim Griffin, one of the fired AG’s from Arkansas who helped the Rovian GOPers cage the votes in FLA election 2000, popped up in local news today. I guess he found another job since Fred Thompson dropped out of the picture. He’s working for Mercury Public Affairs fighting an attempt to tax our booming natural gas industry. The industry is not taxed at all now. Anyway, another character working as a lobbyist for Mercury Public Affairs is Terry Nelson.
These cretins are far from quitting.
fuck
That’s some straight talkin’ ES.
someone was asking a few days ago about rss feeds for the news box.
i just realized the news page comes with an rss feed. wish i could remember who it was that asked…
That’s an excellent find!
Hi everyone. What’s new?
This is reassuring:
White House press secretary Dana Perino said Bush had been kept informed of the Fed’s intended actions through a variety of people, but that he was not personally involved in making or approving the decision.
I have to vote for Paul Thorn.
paul thorn
but that he was not personally involved in making or approving the decision.
Problem is, Dana only lies when she talks.. What if he really is making the decisions?
Problem is, Dana only lies when she talks.. What if he really is making the decisions?
Damn. That would explain a lot.
gotta go with Sonny
I like that quiet kind of busy fret work.
Well, we are in the midst of our Spring thunderstorms, so I think this fine night calls for sleeping in the big hammock on the back porch with a lightning show.
Good night, fabulous dogs.
