It's been some time since anyone here asked directly for unrestricted support for FireDogLake -- not support for something special, or support for a Blue America candidate, or support for a Blue America initiative.  Just plain old support.  For the site itself, the server chow.  The stuff that makes FDL go.

I don't know what you pay in your house for the things we've come to view as necessities in the twenty-first century, but I pay more than fifty bucks every month for basic mobile phone service and more than fifty bucks every month for basic cable television. Every single month.  These things are as much necessities in my life as FireDogLake is.  They may not be necessities in your life.  But is FireDogLake?

Is FireDogLake important in your life?  And do you think  important things in your life are worth supporting?

Just this:  support this site because we're here every single day -- FireDogLake provides a thought-provoking forum for progressive views and progressive ideas. Provides a forum for you. And for me.  And for our wide-ranging progressive community -- all of us.
