I would love to have a female President. Just not Hillary. Why? Because she voted for a war that is going to cost the American taxpayers over 3 trillion dollars (and she voted for that Iraq War Resolution in 2002 without even deigning to read the National Intelligence Estimate.) She (and/or Bill) decided that she could not afford to be seen as “soft on terror,” so she voted with the other war-mongers like Joe Lieberman and John McCain.

That’s not being sensitive or caring or intelligent or a peace-loving feminist, that’s being a craven political opportunist. And, unfortunately, that’s what our “triangulating” Hillary has become. A woman who is more than willing to let thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis die, so that she can achieve an historic “first” — being the first American woman President. I fear that she has walked through too much blood to be rewarded with such a precious prize.

Imagine Lady Macbeth as President. The mind reels.

As much as I would like to see a video of Geraldine driving her candidate over the cliff, holding hands, Thelma and Louise style, I read the entry rules and there’s to be no Hil-bashing in the ads. They want it upbeat.

I personally love the new song from the new version of Hairspray: I know we’ve come so far, but we’ve got so far to go…

But you have to obtain the license for any copyrights, and I just don’t have that kind of Hollywood pull. But I’ll root for whoever does!!

I feel very suspicious of the House going into secret session. It seems to me that they might come out of that session and tomorrow use this secret session as their reason to give the Republics all they have been demanding. I agree with Dennis Kucinich that this is wrong to do-the secret session.

We should be in Lloyd’s District where I live. Thanks to ingenious Districting that puts this area into Lamar Smith’s District, Doggett is denied this affluent area. They were very creative when they districted the State. I still am a Lloyd Doggett supporter, not perfect, but for Texas he is awesome.

Oh, yeah? And who does he expect to believe that one! When he was younger, he did everything in his power not to be stationed overseas, up to and including quitting his service obligation prematurely on the excuse that he had better things to do: work on his dad’s campaign.

But just in case he’s interested, it’s not too late. Some officers in the reserves not much younger than him have been sent to Iraq and Afghanistan. His WH term will be ending soon. He should set a good example and join up. I dare him.
