While it may be comforting to say Spitzer is just a hypocrite, it’s just not ethically sound. A hypocrite acts contrary to his/her stated beliefs or opinions or puts on a false mask of virtue or religious commitment. Spitzer has prosecuted people and, thereby, gotten them imprisoned for commiting the same or similar acts that he has committed. That’s far worse than simple hypocrisy. That’s acting as if you were above the law, you know, like most Republicans. An apology isn’t all that’s required, not only does he need to resign or be driven from office, but he needs to be disbarred and prosecuted just as he did to others.

The JTA is putting a different spin on this than Reynolds, or anyone, for that matter. Plus, I don’t know if this has emerged elsewhere yet:

Recorded comments by Kristen and Lewis suggest there is more sordid information to come.

During a conversation in which Kristen insisted that she liked Client 9, Lewis said she had heard that he “would ask you to do things that, like, you might not think were safe.”

Kristen responded, “I have a way of dealing with that,” adding later, “I’d be like, listen dude, you really want the sex? … You know what I mean.”

But the different spin JTA involves the Israeli who ran the escort company, and possible payback for Spitzer’s prosecution of the National Council of Young Israel and the World Jewish Congress.

gotta disagree, fini. See my comment at #7, above.

I was all for Obama demanding the resignation of the advisor who called Hillary a “monster”, and I think that there are better points to be scored in having our presidential candidates call for Spitzer’s resignation than in sticking our heads in the sand and hoping it goes away.

Sometimes a foot-soldier or two’s gotta fall…

Off point, sorry, but a more important point: Ferarro. She fudged the story in the 84 campaign about why her husband John Zacarro would not release his tax returns (something the Clintons jointly refuse to do in this campaign). Now Ferarro claims that Barack is our affirmative action candidate. As if Ferarro was ever a serious VP candidate. It is now time to take on the Clintons’ continuing pattern of degogatory racist pandering.
