FDL has begun making plans to head out West to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August.

Here’s our question for you: who would you prefer digging in to all the issues, the thorny questions, the inside dirt, and the rumor mill scoops — the likes of JokeLine, Timmeh, Tweety, AdNags and Modo? Or FDL?

The way we see it, someone has to be there to push back against the tired old "Dems in disarray" narrative, to detail exactly what is going on behind the scenes, and to snag interviews with the people doing the moving and shaking instead of the same spotlight-hungry PR hounds and pundits. And the only way to get what we need and what we want from hour by hour coverage is to go there and do it for ourselves — and for all of you.

But we need your help to get there.

If you can afford to chip in a little to help cover travel, hotel and food expenses, we would certainly appreciate your help. And we promise to put it to good use: lots of photos and even more reporting. You know we won’t rest until we dig out the truth behind every last rumor and chase down every reporting foible we see. Any help you can give us to get there puts us one step closer to Denver.

Use the Support This Site button at the right — and if you want the funds dedicated solely to our DNCC’08 fundraiser, put $.08 at the end of your donation. Thanks everyone who can chip in, and for those who can’t, know that your daily support means the world to all of us. Much appreciated, gang!
