Can we get rid of some of the awful narratives which dominate the body politic… things like

“strategic interests”

national security which is based on military strength

That the USA has no enemies which our DOD is matched too, That no nation or group is coming to our shores nor wants to destroy the USA.

Vic, thanks for coming by on what I’m sure is the beginning of a long and arduous task. I know quite a few of our members have donated to the campaign today and I want to remind everyone else that there is no such thing as a donation that is too small. BuggyQ- good question. I welcome the Republicans and the Independents who voted in the Democratic primary last evening. I am glad they voted on the Democratic ticket and hope they will stay with the party for sometime. I am excited to reach out to them because they, like myself, want change. We are tired of the Bush Administration’s failing policies and we need a Representative that will listen to the people in her own district. Like so many of us all around the country, politicians must start working together and put people above politics. That means we need to start tackling some of our biggest issues – health care, the war in Iraq, and energy independence.
