Reporting back from my first ever primary caucus. Travis County precinct 163 had, out of 176 votes, 125 for Obama, 50 for Clinton and 1 uncommitted.
The math broke down to, out of 24 delegates, 17 for Obama and 6 for Clinton. We were voting to give the rounding delegate to Obama when a point of order was made (by an Obama supporter) that brought up the county rules which state that the person having the higher fractional percentage gets the odd delegate.
After much discussion and a few phone calls to hot lines, it was decided that the 24th delegate went to Clinton. Since Obama had 71.02 percent and Hillary 14.20, it went to her because she had the higher fractional percentage at .20.
Oh, yeah, and I’m an Obama alternate delegate to our county convention on Saturday, 3/29.
:)
Hillary!
Suzanne!
Hi Suzanne!!
Suzanne!
i voted and then went to my precinct caucus.
unbelievable.
travis county pct 152.
at 2:15 PM took me 15 minutes to vote; there was no one there.
at 7:30 PM the place was swamped.
previous precinct cauci drew a couple dozen folks maybe.
tonight there were at least a couple thousand.
no place in the school building could hold us all.
the few party workers were completely overwhelmed, yet stalwart.
everyone was being registered on separate sign-in ledgers: one for barak and one for hill.
it could still be going on for all i know.
i got home before 9, but the line to register was all the way down a long hallway, out the door, out to the sidewalk and down the block.
i mean the registration may still be going on.
the actually convention must still be going on.
yee haw
So, anything important happen today?
hey suzanne!
oh crap.. i was hoping ya’ll would not notice that it was me putting up a thread that looks just like jane’s thread (laughing)
End Bushco. That is what matters.
Okay, someone tell me… am I the only one who is passionate about seeing the White House go back to the Democrats, but nor really amp’d about either of these two candidates? Help me… I think I’m falling…**
**apologies to Joni Mitchell**
Busted!
Cuffs, dear?
you are not alone joe fish
*setting glare to stun*
Thanks for caususing and for filling us in on the process!
these results tonight will reinforce for Clinton that her crap tactics, attack-a-dem “coolness”, old time politiking mud slinging, WORKS, and we’ll have to listen to more and more of it till Denver. i hate that.
why do i keep knocking on my desk when you say that?
Yeah, but wow, you really know how to put up threads!
Sincerely, Enjoy! It’s a big night for Hillary, but let’s keep the facts straight.

TV Decoder: The Mike Huckabee Show?
from NYT > Home Page
How does “The Mike Huckabee Show” sound? As Mr. Huckabee’s campaign plotted a concession speech on Tuesday, some analysts suggested that viewers would see the longshot Republican presidential candidate on television again very soon. On the MSNBC program “Morning Joe,” the Republican strategist Mike Murphy predicted Mr. Huckabee would “suspend his campaign, hire excellent agents, […].
thank you
Thank you! And Wangdangdoodle too! There are a couple of DKos diaries from folks who went to the Texas caucus, and those locations also went for Obama. It’s anecdotal, so don’t assume the entire state has that happen, but it does make me happy.
Please make it all stop already! I can’t take it any more.
Going to sleep.
Maybe when I wake up it will be next Jan. (I wish)
neanderthal politics…new sitcom
yellowdog jim – thanks for another great caucus report! it’s so good to hear of all the big turnout and no talk of shenanigans.
Have you also met our poo flinging thread? I’m going to have to keep posting that video until people learn to laugh more and fling less…
Isn’t Obama still ahead in delegates????
It ain’t over until its over, and that time has not yet come.
doodle, did you vote and cauces right near where i work?
What facts? Hillary’s having a very good night! Did I say something wrong?
i keep thinking he wants to take Pat Robertson’s job
You mean November, right? Because you have to vote then.
*peers at RevDeb over the top of her glasses*
She is, and that is great.
Good Evening Suzanne and Firedogs -

Texbetsy – Williamson County heavily Blue today, talking about us at State and Party Levels – trending to Travis County levels
our growing exurban town had over 400 people at the three caucus sites (heavily Obama) and there was anecdotal reports of increasing Dem strength in some of the panhandle counties – yee haw !

Vic Wulsin, my favorite Blue America Candidate, is way ahead of Stephen Black, the recently enrolled member of the Democratic Party: with 67% counted, she is ahead 56-31.
i know, i know, i did see it, and i’m sorry, I AM TRYING. really,
i’ll do better, sorry,
*sigh*
Can’t we all just get along? ;D
wow …Obama slamming McCain with fire … good stuff!
Wow … she’s doing great!
Goodnight, sadlyyes.
Way to go, wangdangdoodle.
is Tom Delay in Jail yet?
I wanted Obama to clean up tonight, partly because I want him to win, and partly because I wanted this forking thing to be over.
Clinton campaign hints at lawsuit
from Star-Telegram
BY JAY ROOT
http://www.star-telegram.com/n…..11585.html
AUSTIN — Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign held an “emergency” call with reporters late Tuesday to allege that supporters of Barack Obama were basically trying to steal the caucus elections with a series of shenanigans and raised the possibility of a legal challenge.
“All options are open at this point,” said Lyn Utrecht, the Clinton campaign’s top lawyer, when asked about the possibility of a lawsuit. “There are any number of legal options.”
Clinton aides alleged that Obama allies locked Clinton supporters out of caucus locations and illegally signed up participants before the so-called precinct conventions opened the doors to voters. The caucus must be held after the polls close.

Great Obama words..
Fight on Dems.
just posted the Ballot Battle in the news box
As soon as I signed in, I headed to the only table I saw where someone had brought a laptop.
Yep — nice to hear St. McCain being challenged tonight.
lol…I understand completely!!
Well, Your Favorite Candidate Sucks.
*ducking behind the desk*
*waving to Christy*
doodle, where do you vote? a building i know? or further north?
No, you didn’t. Hillary did. But, again, Enjoy these victories!
Yes’m. Cook Elementary.

He should his emeritus ass on the sidelines.

Hi, Suz — I’m not usually up for Late Nite. Don’t know how much longer I’ll last…it’s been a long day today…
park?
you got THAT right!
Based on current figures, there’s going to be something in the neighborhood of 3.5 million Democratic votes cast in Texas tonight. I sure as hell hope they all show up in November.
I’m still waking up (laughing) gonna be a long nite too I think
Williamson County? Blue?
OMFG!!!!
noon today. reported on both my caucus and my voting experiences here.
Oh: then he must be awake.
You mean a potential challenge for voter fraud that may or may not exist — or the voter fraud that may or may not exist? If there was fraud, it should be investigated. If it’s not true and they know it, that will come out as well. This happens every election, with every campaign — remember the griping about NH?
yeee haw!!!
Ooops…..
-G
You have my blessing to re-post the poo flinging YouTube any time you need it. *g*
Williamson County…blue? Say wha????????
Confusion reigns at Democrat caucus sites
from Star-Telegram
Staff report
Democrat caucus sites around Tarrant County are reporting high turnout and confusion.
At 9:30 p.m., voters were still waiting to caucus at the Webb Community Center in south Arlington.
Said Rickey Brice, 37, from Arlington: “You’ve got 8 precincts here and you can see the mess. You have an elementary school, a high school, and a college right here and to put 8 precincts in this small of a building is like they are just throwing these people to the dogs.”
The police were called to the Highland Hills Community Center in south Fort Worth because the parking lot was so packed with cars that the precinct judge couldn’t leave to bring the primary ballots back to the election center.
Voters turned out in large numbers at the Southwest Sub-Courthouse in Fort Worth, but many were told that they were in the wrong location.
Shirley Marlowe and her mother, Margaret Marlowe, said they voted at the early voting site and were mistakenly told by an election worker that they were supposed to caucus at the same location.
“We’re very unhappy about this,” Margaret Marlowe said.
The Democratic caucuses will determine how 42 delegates
Riesz, could you give it a rest for one frigging post?

New great speech by Obama…right on!!!
It ain’t over.
Keep on…
No more Neocons in our lifetimes..ever.
Obama: we won’t stand for politics that uses religion as a wedge and fear as a bludgeon
Did you guys get the polling sample when you got to this thread? I question the validity of it, because there was no career designation for educators.
Yes, I found out about a new Morgan Spurlock film, “Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?”

Of course I’m totally in agreement with a recent headline at the Rock Creek Free Press: “Osama Still Dead!”
finally finished a paper I’ve been working on and can join in the fun????
That’s what cbl2 sez. I about fell off my chair!
amen!
thank you *taking off velvet gloves*
Same at my household! I will voted Democratic and my husband will most likely. I haven’t told my husband that Obama voted on the wrong side of the Terry Schavio vote. My husband was the only member of his family there for his mother’s, father’s, and next older brother’s deaths and gets really mad thinking about what the Republicans did concerning the Schavio case. The saving grace is with a Democratic President, that kind of vote won’t come up again and he knows it.
loohoo, we are working on getting more career designations on the survey, one that includes educators
I got it, took it. Figured if it would help the site, I was in.
Good thinking.
Now…that’s progress!!!
To RieszFischer:
As long as HRC spends her $$ and considerable clout tearing down Obama, I have a really hard time seeing her as anything but an egotistical, greedy career politician who seems to feel entitled to win at any costs. Sorry, but that’s just my take on her.
I don’t feel much better about Obama, but I get the feeling that he, sort of like JFK seeks to inspire by something besides pure $$/vote. Ultimately, BO is “just a politician too” but he’s not running (it seems) on a sense of entitlement because he’s Barack Obama, but because he wants to deliver something that is not in the image if George W. Bush and republican-lite.
I find myself feeling more mistaken about that view as each day passes.
oh look! a terror warning!
Homeland Sec. warns of arena danger

DHS says venues ‘attractive’ targets but stresses no current credible threats.
Hmm. Hadn’t notice the velvet gloves earlier. What colour are they?
Again, has everyone met the poo flinging thread? Here’s a little clue — if what you are about to say is going to approximate this visual, then take it to the poo thread. Thanks!
What’d I say?
Anyway, I’m going to bed soon. But I am trying not to be a jerk tonight. How’m I doin’?
yeeks
i overheard clinton workers coordinating with obama workers to have the clinton folk work another table to help register the obama caucus goers.
the situation was so nearly a crisis the everyone was pulling together.
a fire marshal would have flipped out.
everyone was cool.
there were lots of children.
Please, Dems, leave us with something we can bring to the Republicans…

It’s a marketing poll for people who are contemplating advertising on FDL…not a comprehensive survey of every possible factor. We’re just trying to keep the servers in hamster chow.
Ooooo… shiny!
I saw that. Predictable, to say the least. And will we be hearing more terra-terra-terra as the year goes on? Yes we will!
flesh colored, and they are nomex/kevlar lined so they are more thuddy rather than sting.

Are you saying you are having more doubts about Obama? I’m not sure what you meant by that last sentence.
Awesome, even though I am from California I contributed to Vic because I thought she was just what our country needs.
You’re kind of pushing it, but I am a little sleepy and grumpy already.
-G
‘night Aunt Betsy.
At least Obama has admitted that he regrets the Schiavo vote and vows to not do anything like that again.
Gee, isn’t it refreshing to hear someone actually OWN UP to a mistake and try to make amends?
No matter how it turns out the results are completely predicable.
1) The Wall Street candidate is going to defeat the Wall Street candidate.
2) The media will spin up more fairy tales.
3) The public will become even more comatose.
This “groundhog day” cycle has been America’s sad reality since the good ol’ boys sold us on Viet Nam.

Yup, sorry for the muddy-speak.
Hard to believe, the nexus of politics and fear.
McCain wins the nomination, the fear mongering warnings begin.
Shocked, shocked.
-G
Everyone please keep in mind that it is in the media’s interest to report any problems as the old stand-by “Dems in disarray,” so let’s all take a deep breath as we read reports until there is some back-up information about them. Truly.
Big, deep, cleansing breath…and read everything with large grains of salt. It’s early yet for any in-depth, factual anything other than spin and hype.
had my shot of wheat grass earlier so I’m awake :) i sure wish texas would hurry up *g*
I don’t mean to be pushing it.
Let me say that I had dinner with MiniRiezette tonight– she’s a college student, and she supports Obama. She said most of her college friends also support him. I didn’t say anything to discourage her– I’m just happy that young people are getting interested in politics.
I was in college in ‘69; back then it was considered uncool to be apathetic.
In case anyone’s feeling masochistic, here’s the Obama lawyer arguing with the Clinton campaign on that conference call.
Don’t feel bad if you skip it.
Hillary stays in, she’s hurting the Party. Hillary drops out, she’s a quitter. Unhappily for some, she shows little inclination to go jump of a cliff, so perhaps some should consider this: Hillary would be so much better a President than what we’ve had the last 7 years as to almost require a new word to describe how much better.
They must be trying to drive down Democratic campaign event turnout.
-G
it’s going to be a very long night
Why is it always dems in disarray? Becuase we didn’t have premature suspension?
I bought seeds, going to grow my own.

She finds something new to whine about with each election. it’s always something. absolutely! investigate voter fraud. but it’s starting to sound like her crying wolf. it’s just a far too common thing with her, everyone’s so UNFAIR to her. and accusing Obama supporters, with all the other poo SHE’S flung in the last weeks, it’s just getting old.
it’s been a total intense day. maybe i’m getting cranky and should hang it up. i want and WE NEED to get on here, move onto attacking the rethugs and stopit with attacking the other dem.

Has anyone seen an analysis of what the Democratic delegate competition would look like if we had a winner take all system like the GOP?
now with link: Homeland Sec. warns of arena danger
Alrighty!
Probaby get flamed for this, but why does HRC insist on claiming MI and FL, it seems like such a stupid thing to do. What, she only feels good about uncontested primaries?
We’re not in disarray. We are voting in a perfectly normal manner and will then go on to November. The only people who say we are in disarray are the pundits who have to talk about something even though they don’t have the slightest notion what they’re talking about
WAAAAAAY better than me, Greg. apparently. i’m prouda ya!
g’nite peterr – sleep well.
Why are the TX caucus results still at zero reporting? Some finished hours ago, right?
ouch
But we do know it will be a Dem! No Pubs filed to run.
Because both MI and FL are important states for the general, their voters are feeling shat upon as Democrats — and she’s employing a General strategy in case she does, in fact, win the nomination? I mean, just a guess and all, but that seems pretty obvious to me.
Me too.
g’nite peterr
Just saw a report that at least one TX primary precinct just finished voting and will now begin their caucus … long night gang!
every one’s name was on the ballot in Florida and NO one campaigned there …seems like a fair result there.
We may very well be who we have been waiting for, but we are certainly not who we were expecting.
Suzanne’s meet up was not a bunch of Eco, Vegan, Anarchist, Hippies drinking Red Bull and smoking strange substances.
Nope we were a bunch of middle age, middle class folks and I remembered just now something my Dad said all the revolutions in Mexico were started by the middle class.
We the middle class have the numbers, the money, the education and enough control of the economy to really mess things up.
We can control things even if we are not organized.
some caucuses are still ongoing and they are reported by counties rather than specific precincts
does primary trash talk hurt everyone’s cerebral cortex, or is it just me?
cool, what kind of seeds?
I experimented with the juice extractor this evening and well it wasn’t too tasty but it was good for me *g*
did anyone post pix from the SF pup meet-up?
As far as local organizations go, the FL primary was hotly contested, and all were on the ballot.

as of 5 min ago with very few precincts reporting – Dems almost 2 to 1 to Pub turnout here – and come on, 400 Democrats excited to caucus in Hutto for goodness sake – I couldn’t find 40 of ‘em for a labor gig 2 years ago
Were there pics of the event? I have been offline for 36 hours. scary
Very exciting news about Dr Wulsin. I hope she can keep the lead. I too have admired her and contributed to her campaign from afar, thanks to Howie Klein and Blue America.
Does anyone believe that Obama is keeping it close in Texas and when Houston comes in he will win?
My Brother a Hilary supporter hates it he thinks we have a dream ticket but we need to stop attacking each other.
Triticum aestivum, certified organic from Botanical Interests ™.
Redid the calculations should have been a 71.8% vs. 28.4% split of the 24 delegates. That works out to be 17.045 for Obama and 6.8 for Clinton…which rounded to the closest delegate would be 17 for Obama and 7 for Clinton. It actually wasn’t very close.
You guys did the right thing despite a heavily Obama caucus.
BTW winning over that one uncommitted vote wouldn’t have changed things ;-)
only the super smart.
I understand why we don’t have 100% reporting of caucus results yet, but do we know why it is zero? Are they holding off for some reason?
she is running against mean jean, right?
That ad pretty much invited parody.
63% still 50/48
i’m just hoping he wins
possible, with a black voter turn out … plus it’s a college town, and yuppies, contains all his demographics
Hi guys – another (partial) report from a Texas caucus!
I went to mine here in an affluent part of San Antonio tonight, after voting early. Also after the usual …
BREAKING! Obama’s HERE tonight– just came on-screen on tv. Wish I’d known that!
Anyway, it was a long workday, and we stood around outside the school where voting/caucusing was taking place for quite awhile. Caucuses scheduled for 7:15. I got there about 7:45…had to park more than a block away–never saw anything like it. (I went to a caucus years ago…there were 3 of us there.) 3 precincts were meeting there tonight, both parties. So, we finally got inside, (thank dog it’s Texas in March–pleasant weather) and stood in line some more. My precinct was meeting in the school library (all of us having flashbacks, walking down the grade school corridors).
Finally got to sign in about 8:30, at which time you also indicate your preference. Guys, I’m sorry, I was just too beat to stay for the rest.
But the crowd was interesting–about equal young — 20-somethings–and middle-aged — gray hair (lots of beards on men), some pretty old. Crowd appeared to be mostly democrats, also mostly Obama. Lots of Obama stickers and buttons. (best political t-shirt: “Obamonos”, a play on Spanish “vamanos,” let’s go.)
Mood of crowd – upbeat, joking, catching up with friends and acquaintances.
One problem – some people left as the wait dragged on – especially parents with kids taking the TAKS test tomorrow. That’s Texas’s standardized test, originally scheduled for TODAY, but moved a day because so many schools are also polling places. Parents wanted to get their kids to bed to get their rest. Althugh local news mentioned one place where parents brought their kids, who sat on the floor and STUDIED!
The usual confusion about where to caucus, with some folks getting the wrong info and being turned away. Not too bad, so far. Lots of good energy!
double crap forgot the link
don’t know, i’m getting some posting from burnt orange
I guess it seems like a point of honor to me, no one was supposed to do jack-shit with the FL and MI primaries because they were asked not to move their dates up or lose their “clout”. The rules were the rules, and if she’s playing that game then there are “Clinton Rules” and those for the rest of the folks.
Gosh, where have I seen that attitude before?
Dang, Hutto….
Hmmm…great hamburgers at that hamburger place…oh, yeah, Snuffy’s OMG…best I’ve ever had…sigh.
They’re pieces of paper that have to counted by people, not scanning machines. They’re handled by the parties, NOT the Sec of State. We may not get complete caucus results for quite a while.
Wulsin 57%
Black 30%
Smith 13%
with 83% reporting, my math maybe wrong, but that is a lock.
Ask Suzanne I said it was ok to use my Picture but maybe she is waiting to hear from the others. Still I thought that we were an ordinary looking bunch
Ordinary is the new dangerous!
We blend in, we make society work, we can choose not to work.
thanks so much for that on the floor report :)
August 2009: Chuck Shumer: “The gang of 14 has agreed to allow John Yoo to come to a vote for Supreme Court. His testimony showed him to be a moderate man and he has President McCain’s confidence, so let’s just move on.”

that is no landslide for Hillary
teddy is in charge of the pictures…. he said they would be up either mon or tue, prob tue nite. he’ll be along soon i’m sure
Don’t even joke about that shit.
Goodnight, all. The best of all possible tomorrows to you all.
Keep the faith and don’t let anyone else take your place on the ramparts.
Goodnight.
Local news just reported, about 5 min. to 11:00 pm, that one local precinct had just begun to caucus!
Bite your tongue!
Tejanarus! thanks for the good report … I love hearing about folks caucuses and so far almost all reports are really positive and point to good process amongst voters!
She isn’t in charge of the delegate determination — Dean and the DNC are, and they have been firm about the rules being the rules. I think people read in way too much to what is said in a political speech — it’s spin, not set in stone. They are politicians, first and foremost, and they are going to say whatever makes them look good to whomever they think may do them the most good.
It’s pretty much in their political DNA, isn’t it? All of them…
g’nite rond
thanks tejanarusa.
i wrote about the scheduling of TAKS and caucuses/primaries here
Cool!
g’nite, RonD – good dreams!
I really don’t like it when Hill says she won my state of Mi. Edwards and Obama did as they agreed and didn’t put their names on the ballot. Hill was deceiving and kept her name on the ballot. To me that is dirty politics. Even though I voted uncommitted I almost didn’t go vote in the primary. I know many didn’t bother because their candiate (Edwards and Obama) wasn’t on the ballot and we were told we could NOT write in a candiates name. The uncommitted thing was confusing, we were told that they would divide the uncommitted delegates up but they didn’t know how they would be doing that. We need a new primary in Mi if they want to count us.
sleep well ron d
Someone said on teevee that the party chairmen don’t have to mail the results of the caucuses until Friday. Texas. Whatcha gonna do?
I don’t agree. Taking care of my husband’s parents was challenging and when that case came up I was furious with any politician that would vote to inject government in that kind of case. Only someone that was inexperienced in life or was too much a politician would vote that way.
Regardless, I will be voting for either Obama or Clinton in November. I worked for No Such Agency for nearly twenty years and am frightened, more than you can imagine, of the thought of politicians having control over that capability.
Hi everyone,
Just came home from caucusing in Killeen, Our precinct ran out of ballotts 5 times today and didn’t close the precint until 9:30pm. When I left the caucus there were still 100 people there to sign up. It looked like most everybody went for Obama. We were all outside from 7:00-9:30 when the pastor of the church opened the church for us to go in and warm up and that is where they were holding the signups. It was unbelievable. Our precint was 106 I can hardly wait until tomorrow to see how many actually voted.
Good night htis is way past my bedtime. LOL
-sigh- you are correct Christy, but then there is the axiomatic “if you say it often enough, people believe it’s true”. And that’s as much her strategery as is pure political puffery.
I wasn’t the one with the calculator, but now know to bring one next time!
I was wrong about Hill, should have been 28.40 like you said. But I got Obama right at 71.02. I just checked it, 125 votes divided by 176 cast.
LOL! 400 in Hutto? Wow. Is that about a quarter of the population?
megpiepie1 Howdy!
There’s a bunch of us central texas firepups! if you want to be on the invite list for meet-ups, email me at tex betsy at g mail.
Ha! The uncommited one didn’t even stick around to be pursuaded!
Thanks, Siun. When I saw it posted, I thought I went on too long, and it’s mostly process. Doubt I’ll know the results of my caucus before tomorrow.
Wish I had the energy to go downtown where Obama and supporters are still hanging out.
Thanks I will do that.
$$$ Good for you!
IIRC they were all on the ballot.

WooHooo! unbelievable in a very good way, no?
And Killeen is a military city (Fort Hood) – not where you’d expect to se a huge Dem turnout. I’m loving this.
Thanks for zapping the email addy Madame Mod!
Some one here mentioned a couple of weeks ago if the DEM’s don’t hold true to their decission not to count MI & FL delegates for moving up the date then the next election they would have a huge mess on their hands. I agree with that.
That’s what you would think, but we had quite a turnout and we have a lot of military also. I think we had close to 350-400 for caucus. I will be interesting to check the results.
Lived on post for 4 years before my family moved to Austin in ‘70.

Earlier she came down on him for hitting the “Democrats have FAILED in the Texas caucuses” because of some disorganization in coping with the huge crowds turning up. She let him have it, and just did it again on some crap about Hillary being tougher on Obama or some such s___t.
Without KO and Rachel I couldn’t stand this coverage.
Thanks I did that. Good night Pups This time for real.
Thanks for that news. I hadn’t even heard that Ronnie Earle was retiring. Thank good ness, it sounds like the Delay indictment will be followed up.
Herbie Mann and others did a song called “Never Ending Song of Love”. I tried to find a YouTube but alas! Not to be found.
Are you referring to living so close to a giant base, or Texas in general, or both? I’m a former Yankee, myself. Moved from Boston to rural Oklahoma in the ’80’s. Whew! Couldn’t have been much more different than moving to say, Albania, to me.
night y’all
Lord, Chris Matthews is annoying. Talking about the Latino vote, trying to spin everything against Obama:
“That’s not too good, is it, to only get the younger Latinos’ vote.”
On hearing about Obama’s early defeat of a Hispanic candidate with Hispanic voters: “Wow. Was he [the Hispanic opponent] a really weak candidate, or what?”
Aaaargh!(Christy, I hope that’s not poo flinging, is it?)
And you guys did the right thing! You gave Hillary the delegate that she deserved. That point was made by an Obama supporter.
Hopefully the challenges by the Clinton campaign will turn out to be groundless. There appears to be a lot of shenanigans going on…whatwith Republican talk-show hosts telling people to vote for Hillary in Texas…and it wouldn’t surprise me if much of these calls (anonymous?) to the Clinton phone-banks (they had 200 lawyers waiting at phones to handle complaints!) were from Republican activists just loving to make it sound like the Democrats are in disarray, and to create chaos at the convention.
Dirty tricks in Roveland?
we could even HOPE for a long summer trial … with a convincing conviction on all counts.
have sentencing be just before Election Day!
Nope! In Michigan Obama and Edwards took their names off the ballot.
Why does Texas have Primary and Caucus? What is the significance?
Howdy, tejanarusa…what’s your precinct number? Mine is 3089; I posted a report on the upthread. We had the same overflow and confusion, but the actual meeting (after the sign in) went smoothly. 8 delegates for Obama; 7 delegates for Clinton. The precinct chair says this was the largest crowd she has seen; only had 6 or 7 in 2004. Fairly new area north of Stone Oak, voting at a church on Borgfield. Email me sometime: mgj015@satx.rr.com
If you are saying “if I remember correctly, that they were all on the ballot” in Michigan then you are wrong!!! On the ballot in Mi was Dodd, Kucinich, Gravel and Clinton. Edwards and Obama was not on my/Mi ballot.

But they all might have been on Fl ballot.
