That is a good idea. We have a similar thing with bikes around here. One is needed for computers.

Speaking of Jane’s challenge from Stirring McCain’s Hagee Pot, I wonder where Bill Donahue is? They had him all over the airwaves when he was going after those two bloggers who supported Edwards. I guess they’re not going to let him on to go after St. John of Maverick.

You got it!

Has anyone else noticed how prominent web personalities are on cable news, but still ignored on broadcast news? Even newspapers are getting on the Internet bandwagon faster than the network news departments.

Not if it the coffee has no sugar or cream in it. Black coffee can just be allowed to dry it will not hurt anything, unless it had already shorted a circuit. I have also put keyboards in the dish washer (no soap) and then let them dry out…. good as new. The worst is juice of any kind but OJ seems the worst. Changed a few in my day for the juice and never for coffee!

1,774 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…

Citizen PetePierce and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:

“I think it’s a lot easier to get higher quality legal or medical information on the web than to find economic info…”

That’s interestin’ and worth explorin’ for what it might tell us about “economics”…whether, in fact, there is less science and more politics in economic activity and systems. I think the collapse of the Soviet Union has exposed more of the fallacies of “capitalism” than was possible previously. And those who have studied and practised in the old, arcane universe of Adam Smith may , in fact, be forced to re-eaxmine some long held assumptions if in fact their intellectual efforts in the study of economic activity are gunna get any closer to the truth than up to this point.

I get tired of “experts” who assume an ability to see truth that others with a different set of assumptions and vocabulary reject.

As a practicin’ RN I agree with your comments about medical information and the Web.

KEEP THE FAITH AND DON’T LET YER ARROGANCE MAKE YOU IRRELEVANT!!

In my neighborhood there is a housing project. After school there’s an area in the community center where kids (maybe adults too, I dont’ know) can go to build computers from donated/recycled parts. You build it, you take it home. Wonderful idea.

What I think happens for you is inevitable. When you’ve spent much of your adult life being an economist, a lot of what you see is going to look like garbage/superficial. I see a lot of that with medicine on the web, although I have been surprised that there is a lot of high quality info on the web. Most medical centers put up excellent information–take all your NYC hospitals for example, but there is a ton of jun as well because people are trying to sell something.

I think it’s a lot easier to get higher quality legal or medical info on the web than to find economic info, and that’s probably because most of us just don’t have/get enough economic education and experience.
