So according to St. McCain, al Qaeda will be defeated “soon.” Really? And al Qaeda is, by his definition, not part of the insurgency.

This makes absolutely no sense.

what do you expect when getting advice from a man was bottom of his class at the naval academy, so low, he was close to dropping out but that wouldn’t be acceptable in his family

Bush was a failure at everything he did and was always saved by his family.

McCain was as bad in college, shot down and held prisoner of war in Vietnam and a Republican in politics who let Bush people steal his campaign organization blind.

They sound like soul-mates to me.

But, Bush had a family to save him. Who saved McCain’s butt every time he was tanking? Big Money?

We need people who can succeed and make government work for America. McCain is not that person.

There is NO al Qaida base in Iraq. And there is no way that they will establish one if the US leaves. Our presence acts as a terrorist magnet, gives them a reason to fight and makes other NATIONALIST groups who want us out, willing to form alliances-of-convenience with them.

Why would al Qaida want to persist to stay in an area that have no religious or ideological ties with them once we leave. These folks would do far better in parets of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or Yemen. Iraq is a dead-end for them…Iraqis are almost negligible in the ranks of this wannabe “Al Qaida in Iraq”. THEY would be the “foreign meddlers” once we leave. To think that they could “take over” is the most moronic statement that has been made by McCain yet.

Surely not John “Mellowman” McCain?

We can always tell when he’s about to erupt. Mount St.McCain’s eyes grow beady and his expression gnarly, and his lip curls up into a sneer just before he blows up… And it is inevitable he will “lose it” more than once between now and November, and hopefully that he will lose it in November….

Especially if, after one of his fearful conjectures about the Islamic threat we face, some reporters are willing to ask him if he read David Ignatius’ column today, or just ask him if he has read the book Ignatius features in that article, by Marc Sageman, that defies McCain’s fear-and-warmongering about worldwide jihad. Like Larry Johnson, Scott Ritter and some other noble excptions, Sageman is a real expert, who deals in reality-based research, not delusional propaganda.

If McCain claims to have more expertise than Sageman, and disputes this expert’s opinion, he just proves again that his casual walk through McCain Plaza in Baghdad was one more horse and pony show contrived to deceive the American public and conceal our diplomatic failures behind a curtain of questionable military “progress.”

From what I recall, and from what we are seeing now, McCain’s straight-talk express has always been driven on a crooked road…
