He heard from her back in 2002 and has done nothing but give lip service on that one since. He is compromised some how. I see no need for “prospective” or “retroactive” immunity. Prospective immunity is guaranteed intrinsically because the telecoms are merely responding to legal warrants. But if Congress allows telecoms to surveille without warrants the use of “immunity” protection may get them off for both past, or future, illegal actions.</p> <p>To me “no immunity” covers all bases.</p> Why not keep “immunity”.
