I totally agree with Michelle Obama’s comment that she can now truly be proud of the US. Americans have had precious little to be proud of in many years. I see no reason for either her or me to apologize. On the contrary, I believe that the country is due a huge apology from those who have worked so hard to destroy our constitution and favorable standing in the international community and to involve us in an unnecessary war of greed, then treat our returning wounded veterans so shabbily and inhumanely.

I have a lot more criticisms of my country. And as one of WE The People I will continue to voice my criticism with a loud and clear voice
Violence abounds domestically.
Theivery in all forms at all levels of society rages.
Racism is endemic and open.
The courts are politicised in a way that was never intended by the Constitution
Poverty is the highest rate in the developed world.
Medical attention is unavailable disportionately to the wealth here.
Our government is spying on us.
Our civil rightd are being challenged
Only the rich have access to competent legal service in the courts.
Our environment has been trampled.
Many people are being murdered in our name by our government without my approval.

I’ve got to say that, as one of you pointed out, on Air America Al wasn’t so all that funny. But he had great guests. And his books are dynamite. Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot brought tears of juoy to my eyes. I didn’t have time to research all that shit and got pushed around by friends and colleagues for finding Limbaugh disgusting.

Al Franken equipped me to kick sand in their eyes. And then beautiful chicks found me studly. Okay, I was lying about that part, but I sure felt better about myself.

Arizona really seems to produce high quality Republican politicians, don’t it!

Evan Mecham, the used car salesman, who was jailed for corruption and had fellow Republicans (like Barry Goldwater, Jr.) calling for his impeachment. The guy who blamed his problems on “gay Republicans” in his administration and asked for each Department to compile a list of all gays working for them! Evan Mecham, R.I.P.

Then there’s Fife Symington…one of those also caught up in the illegal real estate deals and bribery associated with the S&L crisis that his good buddy John McCain evaded prosecution about.
