I don’t know about the allegations of sexual impropriety on the part of John McCain. The dude’s a former Naval Aviator, and those guys are famous for their chastity and propriety, just look at Randy "Duke" Cunningham for goodness sake. "Huggy Bear" himself has always been a model of proper behavior when it comes to fidelity issues.
May I just take a moment here to half-heartedly proclaim that I’ve always been really proud of my country?
Thanks.
Moving on, for someone of the Maverick’s advanced years, these sort of things, um, often pose "engineering" problems. My memory is fuzzy from the late 90s but I’m pretty sure that back then in order to fix this situation you had to throw a ball through a tire. Now, of course, science has advanced to the point — and again I’m not an expert on these matters (not to brag) — where erectile dysfunction is resolved by forming a cover band with your middle-aged male friends or sitting in adjoining tubs overlooking the Grand Canyon. These simple and practical solutions were not available nearly a decade ago.
But I digress, because the alleged sex scandal is not actually a sex scandal, it’s an influence scandal, the world’s second oldest profession.
McCain’s friend was a lobbyist before a committee he chaired and he may have gone to bat (so to speak, sorry) for her clients using his role as Chairman.
And, as Digby and Lerxst point out, the key paragraph in the New York Times story is this one:
“Unless he gives you special treatment or takes legislative action against his own views, I don’t think his personal and social relationships matter,” said Charles Black, a friend and campaign adviser who has previously lobbied the senator for aviation, broadcasting and tobacco concerns.
Oh, that’s rich, rich indeed.

Zeditty doo dah…
Good Morning….
Ever heard of Tailhook?
Aren’t we forgetting something?
IOKIYAR
This story will fade away quickly, people.
Attaturk…
That presser at 9 AM ET should be interesting, eh?
Morning Joe is staying with the story exclusively…
That picture is photoshopped.
Wouldn’t exchanging sexual favors for political influence qualify as prostitution and therefore, be the world’s oldest profession?
Was McCain a “tail gunner”?
He already has the votes of the Viagra crowd, so why’s he doing this?
I’m staying on the story as well–as a freelancer…*g*
Of course it’s photoshopped! That’s McCains now famous Bush Hug!
Awesome job Watertiger!
McCain: Sure, we had sex, but only in the missionary position. And that was a few years ago, when I wasn’t quite so old, so it wasn’t as gross as it sounds now.
Perhaps..*g* /snark
Good Morning Attaturk!
Again and again it seems that the American government on all level is susceptible to corruption. It doesn’t matter how much power a person has he would find the way to misuse it to some degree.
It is not that all officials are bad but when so much capital and so much political power gathers in such a small sized group, one can’t expect the political’ economical and social conduct of people to be free from interest.
It is a shame that in a country that understood the importance of separation of powers on the formal level, there is so little of this on the actual level of political and economical power.

McCain on the news, of course. I have a question from the threads yesterday. With the list of telecoms, is there a way to know what lobbyists’ money goes to a particular Senator? Or, does it take forever? In the FISA context, for instance, how much would Sen. Cornyn and others perhaps been given? Just wondering…thanks
Actually it is a combination of the oldest and second oldest
No BEEF here.
The quote was missing the last part
From Ana Marie Cox:
(I refuse to link her, but what she has to say here is of interest…*g*)
(BTW, strike-out in original…wonder why…hmm…)
So who else has BushCo been manipulating through blackmail? Maybe the question would be more efficiently answered if I asked who isn’t being blackmailed.
Are you saying “Doesn’t it seem as if Vicky Iseman is sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way?”
lurking promise broken just to say that the photoshop did more for me than 30 cups of latte. Thanks Attaboy! now to put on the birkenstoks and start up the latte….and go to work.
Our “system” has corruption built in to it and it is destroying our nation.
If we don’t tear this out soon, the thing will completely come un done. The economy was tanked due to the influence of wall street on congress and the neutering of the FTC and other watch dogs groups.
Lobbyists are a branch of government, writing legislation and “designing” earmarks.
Greed and money has completely infected the government from top to bottom. Mc is a perfect example. But there are many many many others. Ask Jack. He knows.
It’s the way things work in the beltway. What happens in the beltway, stays in the beltway, until someone opens their mouth.
I think you can piece it together at opensecrets.org
(I refuse to link her, but what she has to say here is of interest…*g*)
Some kind of journalistic spat?
Morning pups. I haven’t paid close attention to McCain’s career. Of course, I knew of his involvement with the Keating Five, but other than that nothing more than your average teevee watcher, and I don’t watch teevee. So why was I not surprised to learn that he got his start in politics by marrying a rich heiress? Why do these people all look and have pretty much the same family histories as Jean Schmidt? What is it about the Stepford Heathers?
The thug reps seem on the whole to fall into a fairly standard class of upper middle class twits who have decided to augment their fortunes by feeding from the public trough.
It’s times like this that I really miss T-Rex.
Smartest thing Tucker ever said “If some one is shocked a that a fighter pilot likes women. . .” I repeat, see Tailhook, that is all.
All power to the proletariat!
Knut, TRex is right here on this very story
What on Earth Will Cindy Pills Say She’s Proud of Now?
How does a person with an elementary education degree from a little known college, no legislative experience and no evidence of contacts in government move from entry level typist to partner in a lobbying firm in just a few years?
Just askin’.
Ha, I was born at night but not LAST night. It’s called talent :)
How does an idiot chimp become president of a superpower?
Just askin’.
How DOES lobbying work?
well,
first you open the door to the hotel lobby
and then…
CSPAN is now discussing the polluted oceans study
Actually, that was a serious question. Why is lobbying so lucrative? Is there some sort of % fee based on the economic gain of the firm hiring the lobbyist?
What DO they do, chat up critters? Seriously.
No…it’s personal…I can tell you on Facebook if you want…Just say word…*g*)

Nah, none of my beeswax!
Pat Buchanan: “I think the NYT has a lot to answer…”
Buchanan: “If the NYT had run the story before the primaries, McCain wouldn’t have been in the running for the nomination.”
Buchanan: “Rutenberg was gonna run then but Keller held it back.”
BTW, gang:
I’ll live-blog the presser at 9 ET…
Buchanan: “WaPo story has advanced the story beyond the NYT.”
Morning Pups -
The schadenfreude pie is just as good for breakfast, and I got up in time to see Pat Buchanan’s head explode.
Life is good.
Excellent! Thanks.
was there anything in there?
Interesting…Buchanan seems to think that NYT story is legitimate…:
“The Times usually doesn’t do these kinds of stories, so there must be something there…”
Would you like some McToast with that? It’s almost ready.
dana, you have the tail wagging the dog, it’s the other way around;
power corrupts
absolute power corrupts absolutely
I wish I wrote that but I didn’t
Yep…Buchanan agrees there’s something there…
Buchanan calling the two unnamed McCain aides “snakes.”
(BTW, The WaPo names one of them this morning: John Weaver.)
Pretty frackin’ funny, Mr. The Turk!
For me too, my fellow NYU friend..*g*
Schadenfreude alert: Be aware that our collective delight in the McCain flap throws open the gates to political hell. By comparison, it’s been a wee picnic in the park to this point. The snarling dogs are straining at their leashes and they’re gonna be released. Personally, I don’t give a rat’s patoot who’s boinking whom. Or what medication they have to take to boink at all. Or if they’re boinkless in D.C. I know, I know. On the other hand (oh, just don’t go there!), Monica, Vicki. Messy blue dress, lobbyist influence. Hmmm.
Well, well, well…what a lovely morning in the Midwest, the Land of Lincoln! For the first time in my lifetime, I am really, really, really proud to be an American. It’s seeing McSaint squirm a little bit that’s doin’ it for me. :)
And when’s the exorcism of Cindy McSaint? Hell wants their succubus back.
hi there…the morning will be a long one…and it’ll be glorious…
MSNBC now showing a picture of the happy couple…*g*
Poor John. Apparently the FEC wants to talk to him about funding too.
Iseman looks hot…
teh Quote: Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Lord Acton in letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton, 3 April 1887 (Oxford concise dictionary of Quotations)
Andrea Mitchell: “Story is complicated..”
They keep saying that…
Watch the tough questions coming up here…
The MSM (in the persona of “Morning Joe” today) is completely ignoring the ethics aspect of this story and are focusing on the sexual aspect, which both McCain and Iseman deny.
McCain speaking now. More later
McCain: “I’m disappointed in the article. it’s not true..”
Bee-hive is back *g*
A Republican sex scandal that doesn’t involve cross dressing, public solicitation, beastiality, wife swapping, bathroom quickies or pedophilia? This story has to be bogus. It’s not your typical Republican MO.
let’s team up here…
McCain: “I’m proud of my record of my service to this country..”
Great entertainment today, the talking heads will be occupied for days on this. Fun to watch Pat Buchanan’s head explode. And Mika saying the NYT is the “gold standard.” Got news for ya, honey,it hasn’t been that for at least 7 years, or since Judith Miller put her slimey hands all over it. More like the “copper” standard, I’d say.
He looks awful, BTW.
McCain is talking about his many friends. No closer to Iseman than any of the others.
He he.
Mccain: “We’re just friends. I have many friends in Washington.
Or is he proud of servicing Ms Lobbyist
McCain: “I don’t anything about whaat John Weaver was saying, John Weaver is a friend of mine…”
I’ve got many lobbyist friends in DC! That’s a winning argument. :)
The story is very simple. Mc was doing the deep for the telcom and she was the kiss face who gave him his marching orders.
all aboard the STRAIGHT PECKER EXPRESS woooooooooooooowoo
“Our “system” has corruption built in to it and it is destroying our nation.”
Which is all the more reason to hope Sen. Obama gets elected. No, it won’t eliminate money from having political influence in Washington, even he admits that, but the way he’s gone about funding his campaign makes him less beholden to lobbyists than anyone else still in the race.
There’s no magic wand to wave that’s gonna make the system pure and chaste, but his election would show there is another way.
McCain:” I’ve flown on many planes. It’s an accepted practice.”
MCCain: “We never tried to stop the NYT from running the story..”
Nuthin but a thang!
Are those scratches on the left side of his face? Just forward of the end of his sideburns.
Oh man, McCain denies discouraging the NY Times Story by saying “I never spoke directly to them”
…um, that’s what Bob Bennett is for.
McCain: : “The campaign wwill continue”
plus Barrak doesnt strike me as one who chases perky willowy blondes, but i could be wrong
McCain: “Nothing to see here, move along, move along…:
The chickens are coming home to roost and they’re shitting all over the Republican Party. They were it well.
NYeve has a post on Kos that says Isemans company’s website has been scrubbed and is not working.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/…..669/461067
Oopsy, I DID speak to the NY Times
an accepted practice?
damn it, I KNEW I didn’t write it but I was hoping I did
Mccain “I know the NYT. I didn’t try to dissuade them from doing the story.”
I don’t find it acceptable for critters to fly in corporate jets.
all this while he was voting for impeachment for the CLENIS,bad Clenis,,Bad Clenis!
McCain keeps saying he’s disappointed. He’s now said that 4-5 times…
The Obama Train is full steam ahead, and I’m not sure anyone really cares about this story. His whole campaign has been about casting aside the politics of old, and this is a classic example of the “gotchya” politics. Whatever the Repubs are doing with this McCan’t story, none of the Obamatrons care. Obama will continue to gain more and more support.
Let those dogs go. It’s just not going to matter anymore. We’re in a new era and the old tricks just don’t work.
Cindy McCain looks pained standing behind him…
think progress has this, puts teh smile on teh face;
I wonder how many depressants McCain had to down before this press conference?
He’s doesn’t want to come out of his pissed off badass bag right now.
McCain: “I haven’t seen Vicki Iseman for some time. I haven’t been in DC.”
Great post.
Children!
but she is teh PROUD,i guess the fall cometh
Buchanan this morning seemed much more upset that the Times had held the story long enough to sink McCain after the primaries, than that they ran the story in the first place.
Cindy is disappointed in the NYT too,
cindy” I’m very disappointed in the NYTimes.”
I cannot see Cindy, who is speaking now…
DOES SHE LOOK PROUD?
Axe his first wife how “stand up” he is.
When is McCain going to blow like Krakatoa?
Why did Iseman remove her bio and website?
you stole me line
McCain says he’s disppointed too…
hahahahahahahaha
She’s trying really hard to look very proud.
Why thank you.
I have so few opportunities to do a series of erectile dysfunction jokes, it was good to get them out of the way. Tres classy.
However, if such a riff lasts more than four hours…
She’s trying to smile but not succeeding very much…
not in his willing pecker of course
Actually I don’t think he’s doing that badly, especially compared to his victory speeches.
I am watching without sound. His body language is that of someone who has something to hide, someone who got caught doing something bad. I have no idea what he is saying.
McCain: “We’ll move forward…prez campaigns are very very tough.”
get the hillbilly heroin stat
McCain: There will be other obstacles in this campaign so lets just get this one behind us, OK?
Mrs STEPFORD McBush probably gave Johnnie a handfull of vicodin he is speaking like that now!
McCain says disappointed–once yet again.
What happened to yesterday’s pride? All this disappointment today.
I’m not clear on how exactly she is “supposed” to look?
no wonder she needed to drug herself….whata prick this guy must be to live with
“Very disappointing event.”
Has anyone heard ONE….. my friend?
Mccain: disappointed–yet once again!
Look proud? Her freaking face is frozen….eyes moving all over the place but looks like a botox freezeup. Can’t tell who has had more between her and John..he got all the wrinkles out of his forehead now.
again, think progress but take a look at this statistic and ask yourself “how counter intuitive is THAT”?
They’re always sorry. Sorry they got caught. hahahaha
M: I ran into Vicki Iseman some time ago at a party..
I’ve been married a long time, and I know the looks, and right now she’s looking off into space like she’s fantasizing about doing a Bobbit on him.
McBush…”It is the NY Times, I don’t take it at face value” unles……Judy Miller is shilling for MORE FRIGGIN WAR!
excuse me I detest him!
M: Presser is over….
ok hold your ears
I FIND THE OBAMAS quite refreshing from these washed up corrupt actors
Cindy with that pasted-on reptile smile.
Thanks for really asking probing questions…press corps.
McCain and Miss Vicky. John McCain is the Republican Party’s Tiny Tim.
Tweety!
Joe (to Tweety): “Chris, please, tell us about this story”
Oy!
I keep saying this, the new york times has given the republican party a gift releasing this now
if this came out after mccain was on the general ballot, any prayer the republicans might have would be gone
now they can vette the issue, they can either replace him or wear the issue out so it has hardly any effect during the election
this is a gift to the republican party, it’s not a gift to mccain that’s for sure but it is a gift from the new york times to the gop never the less
They let him off easy… but story will continue all day by pundits, political analysts…and what have you…
Tweety…on…
That’s code for something I refuse to give any further thought to. Yucky!
new meme…Sneaky McVain….straight shooting confined to his sperm
Tweety: The Times now has to respond…
McCain: “Republics like myself are manly men and irreistable. There’s nothing suprising here.”
The political press FAILS AGAIN…..oh that’s right McBush is a repub
little Napolean fukkknozzle
I’ll see you fellas in about 40 minutes…on another thread probably Blue Texan’s…
I don’t know if this has been mentioned here in the last week, but some wingnut radio host had a guest on who said he was gay and had sex & did coke with then State Sen. Obama in 1999.
Obviously, this person sounds like a kook, but you and I both know the Rethugs are feverishly hunting for shreds of credibility on this story as we speak.
Since I’m among friends I didn’t want anyone here to be blindsided by this (hopefully non) story.
CLEN…..IS,CLEN…IS …its all about the Clenis infinitum…McStick not so much
I’m glad to see Tweety is being very critical of the Times on this story. I’m sure he will be equally critical of their stories on Obama.
Actually, the Times report has upped the ante, forcing the Republics to create an attack on Obama that has to be even more tawdry than they originally planned.
ahh but there’s always google cache to hold on to it for a while
I’ve never seen Cindy look animated in any way on tv or in photos so how could anyone tell if she is pained? She always looks like she is got lost from a Madame Tussads.
Well, I suppose they’ll go with this crazy Larry Sinclair fella.
Bluetoe2,
I think you figured this out.
I partied with Bush (and Laura) in Kennebunkport back in the ’80s. Nudity and coke were involved. See how that works??
She be demure
You are implying that they left themselves some room to expand.
well, not more tawdry, just sooner rather then later
So that is what Checkers II sounded like, woven out of whole fabric(ation) of “Honest” Republican cloth. Not as good as the original, but then, nothing ever really is. Just wonder if it will be bought again.
Perris @ 91 you made me curious who did say it, yours was nearly spot on the original after all these years ;-)
That is of course except when they are cross dressing, teen trolling, oral soliciting, wife swapping, toe tapping …..
and don’t fortget, it’s a GOOD thing to hear these stories before we are on the ballot, if a story has legs we can regroup
Not much there.
Now BigMedia outlets are talking about McCandyCain’s questionable loan to his campaign? Seems there may be a coordinated effort to take him out from within the Repub Party. Would make sense with the Lush Limpballz, Coulter, etc continued lack of support.
Ya know, Mittens still is in 2nd place in terms of delegates. Given Lush and the CPAC crowd’s reactions to Mittens and McCan’t, could this be last-ditch effort to oust St. John in favor of a more “desirable” candidate for the wingnuts?
Raven, you funny!
She certainly goes for the ultimate pristine look.
Just to clarify, that never really happened, but my point was that anyone can say anything these days and plausiblity has no standing.
The sex part is merely a distraction to hide the real problem with the story. Corruption.
Heaven forbid. A mormon saviour
Tweety thinks the NYTimes is the best paper in the country. I really value his opinion on everything.
If I’m gonna spend five years in the Hanoi Hilton for a word . . .
That word is
. . . poontang
Actually, I think McCain did about as well as can be done at the press conference. The ball is now in the NYT court. Democrats would be well advised to stay completely clear of the issue. Conservatives will continue to protray the NYT as a Democratic mouthpiece and stir up sympathy for McCain of NYT can’t back up the piece.
[[[[Ding]]]]!!
And no one ia talking about that. This story has now morphed into a story about the New York Times.
Just like that.
OT, but does anyone know what Richard Mellon Scaife has been up to? Does anyone think, despite his divorce problem, that he is sitting silently in the wings?
Fuckin A
Or the McJeezus Contingent will start raising hell and bolt for one of their own.
fuck, I knew mccain was in bed with the lobbyists
but I didn’t think he took his corruption so seriously
when mccain get in bed with a lobbyist, there is a REAL bed involved an shit
that’s “attention to detail”, folks
Jesus, Tweety taking the middle path
I think you can pretty safely assume that Obama & Clinton will continue on as if this isn’t going on.
It’s actually bad news for Clinton because she drops another rung in the news headlines.
But they do have their debate tonight so that’ll help.
OMG Joey Scar is so teh kewl readin’ a quote off da blackberry on live teevee.
You can bet whoever is asking the questions tonight will force them to talk about it.
It was the Art department!
Tweetums has all the bases covered!
I could care less if Miss Vicky and Miss Cindy made a sandwich with John McCain in the middle but when McCain is in “bed” with lobbyists then the story should be about the corruption of the political process. Corruption is what the story is about.
Battle stations, battle stations aaaaooooooggggaaaaa aaaaooooooggggaaaaa
Pictures?
How long until McLame says “Clinton did it!”
stolen from americablog hahahahahahahaha
Why is McCain standing with Frau Blucher?
my eyes are bad…i read Battle Stallions…hehehehehehehe
WWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYY
Drudge is holding on to them for just the right momemt. Of course McCain’s face will be scrubbed replaced with Obama’s.
Hey, them jet jocks can parrrrtttyyy.
hahahahahahahahahahaha
these self eighteous sanctimonious prix…wonder what shortride thinks!……….
Not just his face!
Indeed. Although the Mighty Wurlitzer is already aiming the bazookas at the NYTimes and trying to make that the story.
Much posturing and puffery and “not John, he knows our first names!!!!” journalistic squirming to come.
Pass the popcorn.
BREAKING: 6.3 EARTHQUAKE near Elko Nevada
and that is why i loooooooooooooooove Michelle Obama, she would kick his ass back to Hawaii if he id that
Indeed.
So, has it been asked? I’m way behind on comments:
who’s more credible–John McCain or Roger Clemmons?
Oh, but why is she sooo angry. . . ?
hahahahahahahahahaha
Real People= Obama s
creeped out,botoxed,drugged up Bots= McVains
Per others, I agree the in-bed-with-lobbyists meme is the best part of this story for progressives.
OT, the GOP is just thrilled that it was a FEMALE lobbyist.
hahahahahahahahaha
so true…they envy McStick for sure…whata Maverick
With the luck the GOP has had lately she might turn out to be a hermaprodite.
So is this story an indictment of the MSM AGAIN… where Matt Laur says that they have known about this since December & others around DeeCee known this…. That there was no story because everyone loves the McBush?
Two takes on the attack from the right….
1. Take down McBush and draft someone else (jebby anyone)
2. Since a lot of the Repugs did not rally around their anointed King a situation was created to make them circle the wagons…. following Reagan’s 11 commandment.
And here in Phoenix…. the local media is just SHOCKED…. just fainting couch shocked that ANYONE would question the Straight talker McBush…
Charles Black on TeeVee, “liberal NYT, liberal NYT, liberal NYT.”
That’ll fix it.
Yep, and if the NYT had run the illegal warrantless wiretapping story when they first got it (September/October 2004) rather than December 17, 2005, we might have a different president now.
Remember the 21yr old superdelegate?
Hes made the decision to back Obama.
What’s the New Times say?
Scarlett Johanssen edges Chelsea Clinton for a 21 year old male.
SHOCKING!
The media clearly showed similar constraint and concern when Matt Drudge tan the John Kerry ‘mistress’ rumors back in 2004.
Clearly they showed the same concern.
Clearly the media focused like a laser on the conservative Drudge report.
The GOP has ruined everything.
-G
Sorry didn’t read the NYT…. just surfing through the channels before heading upstairs to work ;)
May need to take a shower since I peeked into Morning Joe way too long…
tan=ran.
-G
Stay tuned to these stations.
Bob Bennett during the Clinton scandal=scumbag trial lawyer helping to hide the truth from the American people.
Bob Bennett during the McCain scandal=brave defender of civil liberties helping a hero in times of struggle against the liberal media.
-G
Bob Bennett loves him some S AND M
Poor baby Repug’s….. every one picks on them…. the media is always hitting them…. Bahaaaaaa
Again they are the victim but control all the large media outlets….
Was McCain a “tail gunner”?
Ball turret gunner. They had to wash him out of the corporate jet a few times (sorry Randall).
Big shiny thing: FEMALE lobbyist
Big shiny thing: NYTimes wrote this
The story: corruption alleged against McCain…how much traction’s that going to get.
Morning all :)
‘Confidential information stolen from Brazil’s oil company Petrobras related to the recent discovery of a huge offshore gas field, police say.
The disappearance of four laptops and two hard drives is being treated as a case of industrial espionage.’
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wor…..256024.stm
Who cares about the sex scandal? The real scandal is that politicians are “in bed” with the special interest across the board! It’s not just McCain, it’s all of Washington. Obama has it right by refusing to take donations, which are essentially bribes, from special interest groups. We need REAL compaign finance reform, the kind Senator Russ Feingold (the finest politician in Washington) tried to bring us before his Feingold/McCain finance reform bill was turned into a giant loophole.
This also isn’t even close to as absurd as the fact that McCain supports torture. Torture is a war crime, not something to be debated. Check out this article: Torture Isn’t An Issue, It’s A War Crime
and here I thought “the Iseman cometh”
I almost feel bad for Poor St. John. First he gets tarred and feathered in South Carolina during 2000 Primaries because of out-of-wedlock black child (this was GWB/Rove campaign as documented by Molly Ivins) and now Vicki Iseman.
I am not sure if this was Democrats or pissed off Republicans. Anyone care to venture a guess?
MSNBC – John Weaver deny’s being the source. He said everything he told NYT, he told McCain campaign.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
-Aristotle
That is the banner quote from the Alcalde & Fay home page.
I’m sorry, folks, but unless Biodun or others come through with more details or new facts, this is going to fade away. If there is real evidence of sexual dalliance between the Senator and Vicki Iseman, this will grow wings.
Hey, Michelle Obama said a dumb thing, and she got called on it. Cindy McCain did a standard political move, saying she’s always loved her country. So live with it. I’ve barely ever seen anything on this site about Cindy until she dared to say something that could be interpreted as a swipe at Michelle. Now, it’s time to unleash the hounds. It’s hard to figure out from the comments here, but all Cindy has done is appear with her husband at the press conference. But that’s apparently all it takes to foster a zillion comments about her appearance, her drug addiction, and any other cheap shot people can come up with.
I’m a Hillary supporter, but it’s obvious that Obama will get the nomination. I hope he beats McCain, and that Cindy is never First Lady. But after seeing all of the denials about the Obama mob mentality, it really is illuminating to see it in action here. Cindy made one rather benign comment that was directed at Michelle (who isn’t exactly a mute in this campaign) and that’s enough for the piling on to begin. It’s the exact same thing that happens to anyone who dares to criticize Obama, whether you sycophants care to recognize it or not.
I hope he beats Huckabee.
… you must have been viagravated? ;~)
thou art wunnerful!
attaturk, i’m coming in very late – i luvs me the photoshop.
Think Pat Nixon.
