compare the all the video footage of bin laden. do before and after. his face does not look the same. it is much wider and in one video he’s even wearing jewelry which is against his religion.

I’m sorry, I admit to not having seen that particular interview. I based my opinion of other interviews and articles and books written by her, and criticisms of which I have read. From all accounts she was kept in the dark by her own military about many strategic policies when she was prime minister; including the creation of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the fostering of Islamic terrorism in India. I don’t believe that any Western intelligence agencies believe her assertion that Bin Laden is dead. And if a Bin Laden recording surfaces in the time after her interview, that should settle it for once and for all.

bush was installed by the supremes because he was a psychopathic dumbass. the events that have occured in this country and on this countries behalf could not have been explained away if somebody who was credible was in office. in my opinion the incompetent card was played perfectly. he was the perfect choice.

Great response! Whatever progress women have re-achieved after nearly 2 millennia of darkness is under threat from fundamentalist forces that would once again relegate them into being enshrouded or Confucian second-class citizens. This is the real battle we are in, a battle of ideas – secularism, humanism, equality – which this administration has singularly failed to protect because of its macho cowboy mentality.

Because if we don’t, we cede influence to others who will use it to our disadvantage. Or who will move through surrogates to counter any growth or security advantage we may have. Because this is the way the world operates — and has for centuries — and to pretend otherwise is to refuse to see reality for what it really is.

If we want to push forward human rights or women’s issues or anything we feel is important, we must have the influence and the power to make the case with any real success. Without it, we fall flat. Which is exactly what the Bush Administration has been doing for the last few years by acting like a bunch of petulant cowboys.

And that’s just for starters.
