Black History Month is slipping by quickly this year. So I thought I would share a couple of gems found on youtube with you all this fine evening and hope you will feel free to do the same in thread.

The main video features gospel singer Carrie Robinson. A.K.A. Carrie Robbins – Mary Washington. Footage from what I believe is an old Chicago television program called Old Maxwell Street.

Also a little corrective history lesson on the origin of Amazing Grace with a sweet rendition by Wintley Phipps at Carnegie Hall.

What’s on your mind tonight?
