“t likely means that they’re starting to worry about losing market share.”

I believed this until I read a ratings analysis on HuffPo that indicated that Hannity and even O’Reilly repeats were pulling in far more viewers than KO. This was disheartening. Perhaps the demographic breakdown is better for KO. One thing that this primary opened my eyes to was how entrenched sexism was in news outlets in this country. Political correctness and viewer backlash kept overt racism down in the media, but sexism was fair game. And it was not just Hillary; she only attracts more of it because she is a viable candidate for the Presidency. The recent opinions by Krugman and Fish in the NYT only reinforced this view for me, as did Frank Rich’s nasty hit piece. Brought back unpleasant memories of how Rich attacked Al Gore during his 2000 run.

Shocked out of lurking. Maybe the Fox sheeple will have second thoughts now that Hannity-icon is having “second-thoughts” on the death penalty. I didn’t know Hannity had thoughts to begin with, that in itself could be a revelation. Torture Joe may take issue with his old friend though. Or maybe it’s all a ruse to add “dimension” to his cardboard cutout character.

Dodd should not leave his seat as senator for any position in the WH, especially not for a position on Heimat security (which is Holy Joe’s Baby and should be thrown out with the rest of the wingnut “improvements” to our federal agencies.) CT has only one sane senator. And being from CT you can imagine my panic, if we are left without representation in the senate, Holy Joe being ready to be carted off to jail (vote-buying) or the rubber ramada, and all. I have a feeling the battle to restore the constitution will be ongoing, no matter who wins the WH. So we need a fighting senator, and CT needs adequate representation.

If we do sentence some of them to death, how will this affect the willingness of our allies to turn people over to us? But Bush will have 9/11 back on the front pages for the election season, so he doesn’t give a ****.

Hannity is only play-acting. He doesn’t give a damn about the rights of the accused, especially not the Guantanamo defendants. When the world rightly condemns the United States for using evidence obtained by torture, Hannity can refer back to this pretense of concern for legal correctness. But that’s all it is - a pretense.

No one on Fox News can be trusted at any time. If they predict that the sun will rise in the East tomorrow morning, pull down the shades on the Western side of your bedroom so you can sleep in.

From Jane’s original post…”So it’s doubly stupid to start thinking about legitimizing them by letting them (Fox News)be the arbiter of a Democratic debate and give them access to a new audience. Fortunately, the next debate is going to be in Austin on CNN on February.” My comments were all specifically on topic, but don’t worry, next time I’ll check with you before I post anything, you know, to make sure I’m on topic.
