I know that Obama’s rise as the bipartisans’ messiah has something with her decrease in polls, but the game was Hillary’s to lose and she apparently is trying to fix whatever has gone awry. She is the only campaign to give an Hispanic that kind of post to begin with, and she is being replaced by an African American. Hillary may be accused of a lot of things, but she is not a racist.

For Clinton’s cash strapped campaign any TV exposure is good exposure–and they’ll get as much milage out of any story as they can.

I thought Russert’s mention of Shuster not by name but as “our reporter” was as disigenuous as when Russert and NBC tried to resist testifying in the Libby trial with an affidavit June, 4, 2004 asserting confidentiality after Russert had already talked to FBI agent Jack Eckenrode November, 2003 where he discussed his conversation with Libby on the phone.

The Shuster comment for Clinton’s campaign was just another opportunity to get some exposure–I think that’s how they saw it. Chelsea’s friends use the word the same way Shuster meant it and I still say if you got to look at the Ipods of the Rutgers ball players they were full of rapp lyrics that demean women beyond the pail as would the Ipods of the Spellman College women that Oprah’s best friend Gayle King interviewed on the show where they discussed rap lyrics with rappers.

Regarding Clinton’s campaign move–this seems a very desperate measure to me and not the message she wants to be sending. This strikes me as a campaign that is absolutely panicky. If she had canned Mark Penn that would have made sense. Trust me, this woman did not leave the campaign voluntarily–she was pushed.

Also, it was Howard Wolfson who called MSNBC not Penn. Politico has the orignal messages that were going back and forth between the campaign, Shuster and then Capus. You’ll love this nugget–RUSSERT acted as the mediator between the campaign and NBC. Of course, this may have something to do with the fact that all the networks are in the middle of February sweeps and they saw the numbers CNN posted in LA with the last debate and are dying thinking they could lose that opportunity.

What makes no sense to me is what message is she trying to send when she cans a woman who is hispanic? None of this makes sense going into Texas, especially.

However, it is the Clinton campaign–so there is that to consider.

Maine Caucus Results

almost like the high up rats leaving the ship….not a good image

Maine’s population is made up of 4% blacks, so this means mainly whites voted for Obama today throughout our state. Wonderful! It reflects who we are up here very well. A commenter on AMERICAblog tried to say one night that Maine is one of the most racist states in the Union. Such hogwash!

I’m so proud of us tonight. I really am. If the vote goes to Hillary after all of this in the middle of the night suspiciously, I’m going to be livid.
