I must admit that I have never watched Shuster before, so I can’t attest to his journalistic integrity, but certainly MisogynyNBC can do better than having a reporter that calls a candidate’s daughter a whore. That’s deeply offensive to me, and that filth should be taken off the air permanently.

One down, a whole slew of others left to go. Off with their heads, I say.

Marion- thanks- hope you are still here

My polling place, same as ever. But, there was a huge bottle neck- had to have registration verified by 2 (editt- one of 2)workers at their touch screens, before allowed to go vote on touch screens. Took ages to get through this step. Church basement, their connections via modem (I asked) Touch screen stations virtually empty.

Before, there were at least 4 workers at this step, looking through books of registered voters to verify. It was much much quicker.

I figured that at the rate this was progressing, they could process about 60 voters an hour, 10 hrs x 60 = 600 voters, way less that the # of voters in the precinct I imagine. Wait time to vote for one Pres. candidate and one ballot issue here was 30 mins to 1 hr 15 mins.

I just thought, oh, this is gonna be a disaster in November.

Ummmm…her letter to MSNBC says suspension and apology are not enough… :(

She’s sounding pretty, shall we say…unforgiving. Shuster has been a good voice for progressives, and I think this has really gotten out of hand. Interesting how the attack on the press is so “selective”.

I have said this before, but as with Imus (dispicable comments, alas) it seems that Shuster’s “mistake” is being used by the right to get rid of a more liberal voice. And, frankly, what this goes back to are comments by two strongly Clinton supporting media people (Whoopie and Joy of the view) who totally trashed Chelsea (and the Clinton campaign) for having called them at home within minutes of each other to ask them to vote for her Mom.

CNN saying exit polls say Obama is ahead, but no projection. On the other side, a “competitive” race between McCain and Huckabee.

Shuster’s head was put on the block because they ‘couldn’t’ do the same thing to bigger names who are more objectionable.

JoeScar loathes Shuster. Wonder if that had anything to do with it?

(though that loathing is only expressed from a safe distance - never face-to-face).

MSNBC got punk’d - and should have had the testicular fortitude to simply let Shuster apologize for using a word with more than one meaning in a manner in which it could possibly be interpreted wrongly. Grow a pair, MSNBC!

I think we’re back to Sun Tzu: kill the rooster to scare the monkey[s].

And while we’re at it, you don’t really think Bill Clinton thinks it’s going to be a nice civilized campaign if it’s Hill vs. McCain, now do you?
