Actually, he posted it here exactly as it appeared on Josh Marshall’s TPM. The initials of the original poster were at the top of the copy/paste to FDL. When Josh Marshall posts an email from a reader, that’s how he always does it.

Claws remind me of a feline attribute, however, the inference is up for interpretation, which can only be subjective. On the other hand it does hark back to the response I felt when “Arnie” used the statement “sissy girls”….Probably, there are better word choices for the sake of rhetoric.

I have stayed away too from Daily Kos for awhile. Does little good to complain to MSNBC. I have been watching “Holmes on Homes” on the DIY channel every night and my wife used to complain when I watched Tucker/Tweedy.

I have been sending money to Clinton over this Shuster thing getting other ladies at work to do the same. Small amounts but its going to be steady each pay period. I went to caucus for her tuesday.

dailyKos is one of the worst offenders. I have unmarked it from my favorites file because of the adolescent reviling of Hillary and worship of Obama.

Wha?

The first shot in this media “war” was Obama over a year ago. He froze out Fox after they kept running the false “madrassa” stories over and over, and he also mentioned their history of being loose with the truth. He and Edwards were first to refuse a Fox debate several months later, and just recently did an interview on Pox again, which I wish he wouldn’t have. Bill O’Loofah tried to bully his way into a interview with Barack, and Obama gave him the cold shoulder.

Obama has been leading on the issue of irresponsible reporting, and he’s been doing it to by far the worst of the worst BigMedia outlet, Pox Newz. Hillary has been appearing on Pox A LOT all this time, and even goaded Obama to appear in a Fox debate recently. Obama refused again, and now ‘lo and behold, Team Clinton is all worked up about David Shuster and MSNBC?!?!

Incredibly stupid comment and line of questioning by Shuster, and Matthews has been doing that for years. What these guys did is child’s play considering the vile things Pox Newz and especially their boss, Roger Ailes have been doing to the Clintons including Chelsea FOR YEARS!

For Hillary to finally put her foot down to Shuster and MSNBC, right after Obama agreed to a debate on MSNBC and not Pox, is almost laughable. That’s the issue. Not whether Shuster’s comments were out of line, since they clearly were. Give credit where credit is due…Obama has been leading on this issue. Hillary is following his lead.

(BTW, Josh didn’t say that…a commenter did, but you made it look like those were Josh’s words)

You know for me the term “Pimped out” may not be so bad. I would look more at the Attitude behind it that was revealed more in Schusters response to e-mails concerning the statement. Schuster was upset becasue Chelsea wouldn’t or won’t give interviews to the press. WHy would Schuster assign this demeaning word to someone who is just supporting 1) Her family 2) Her mother 3) Her political party. If shes a pimp we all are pimps…and last time I checked I think its OK to work for a cause and not give interviews about it!

David Shuster is 41. A little old to make this a difference in the generational use of language, I’d say. Think he would use this term in a memo to his supervisor, or in a public speech to a roomful of journalism students, or in a letter to his mother?

I was totally offended about what Shuster said. It was inappropriate and insulting to a young woman just participating in the political process for her mother.

I thought the suspension was a little overboard but he was reaching hundreds of thousands of people putting the image of ‘whore’ in their minds about Chelsea. Words matter and images take a long time to fade.

“Pimping” in this context is a nasty word that should never be used by a news reporter to refer to anyone. There are different standards of discourse for different occasions– the entire world is not a frat party.

I’m glad Hillary is pushing back against this stuff. Gore and Kerry let the media dump all over them, and look where it got them. She’s a fighter, not a doormat, and I appreciate it.

Sorry Jane but this time I see it for what it is - the watercooler talk about Hillary Clinton at MSNBC has probably gotten so pervasive that they all feel free to anything thats gotten a yuck yuck in the “newsroom”. The fact that he added that it all seemed “unseamly” made it stick out all the more. Just imagine if he had said that Obama was pimping out Michelle, the studios would be on fire right now. I’d had it with MSNBC awhile ago anyway.
