Actually, “in”…

my “kick” comes from remembering the “tell” in my anaylst’s voice…

as he was hiding his smile while I vehemently denied the importance of the matter(s)…

….I chose to bring up - again - in the session I was paying for.

Poor man - all that time spent with such an odious patient.

But thanks for helping me understand why our “hours” were only fifty minutes….

(All this time I thought it was just analytic convention…)

Kirk Murphy -

“Therapists get a kick out of watching people take time and energy to return to a non-issue….to assert it’s a non-issue.

The tough part is hiding the smile….”

An inside joke, huh? Really funny. This is disgusting and not the first time I have heard you referencing your patients in a pejorative way.

We all know you’re really smart, but I wouldn’t want to spend 5 minutes of my time in your presence. [edited by mod]

[Mod Note; Please do not insult fellow Firedoglake participants. Thank you.]

Great and thorough research. It is always nice to have facts and things set in context. I agree that we need to vet our candidates and I appreciate well researched information, whether bad or good, that will not only give us deeper insight into our candidates but also will prepare us for the battle to come.

It’s somewhat Alice In Wonderland to suggest Obama joined Miner, Barnhill as a way to get rich on shady real estate transactions. My daughter graduating law school at about the same time-not Harvard , not Law Review- started at six figures ( which could have been higher but she chose to work attacing environmental law offenders, not the better paying defense side). As president of Harvard Law Review Obama could have earned a multiple of that. Certainly north of $200,000.

He didn’t join MB to maximize his income,he joined it because he was willing to sacrifice income in exchange for other goals.

OMG!! Obama once called himself Barry, used drugs as a teenager! These are shocking allegations. I’m going to walk over to Fitz’s home which is only two blocks away because he should investigate.

Siun –

Thanks for a great post. The combination of this with earlier looseheadprop post on Rezko was very informative for this primary voter.

A propos yesterday’s landmine post, here is a relevant link (the vote was a point for Clinton in Haaretz’s ranking):

Perhaps Kirk wants to find one little worm in the whole barrel of apples so it can be splattered to death on Obama’s campaign. I’m glad I’m not as morally fastidious as some folks pretend to be.

Way late on this post, but, Siun: Thank you so much for this thoughtful analysis. And, also for your insistance on looking at the “claw” comment on the actual video in an earlier post. I appreciate your fairness and thick research.

For firepups who want to delve deeper into Obama’s time at Miner, the Chicago SunTimes did a detailed profile of his legal career in an article last year - and if you have uncovered any other information on the firm and Obama’s legal career, please share the links with everyone.

Thanks, it was AWESOME. But then I found this, and IT’S EVEN BETTER!!!

Norman Hsu, Hong Kong “apparel executive.”Hsu bundled more than $850,000 for Hillary’s presidential campaign and $260,000 for Clinton’s Senate races. He turned out to be a convicted felon, on the lam since 1992 due to a grand theft conviction. Then, this December, Hsu was indicted for running a pyramid scheme that defrauded investors out of at least $20 million and that made $25,000 a year in fraudulent political donations.

AND THEN THIS!!!!

Aaron Tonken, former Hollywood fund-raiser, current federal penitentiary inmate in California. In 2000 he hosted a fund-raiser that took in more than $1 million for Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign.Tonken originally drew interest from the FBI for failing to report some donations from the event to the FEC. Although he was never charged for election-law violations, in 2003 he pleaded guilty to stealing from charities, including, according to an ABC News report, the Betty Ford clinic. He is currently serving a five-year sentence for mail and wire fraud. The self-described con man got his start in Hollywood as Zsa Zsa Gabor’s dog keeper. He sold stories about her to tabloids and snuck tourists into her dilapidated, dog feces-ridden mansion while she was out of town.

AND THEN AS I THOUGHT IT COULDN’T GET ANY BETTER I FOUND THIS!!!

“Peter F. Paul, renaissance man, jack of all trades. He co-hosted the 2000 fund-raiser with Tonken. How did Paul underwrite the gala? According to The Washington Post, by improperly borrowing more than $4 million from Merrill Lynch. Shortly after that was discovered, Paul hopped a plane to Brazil and spent years waging a two-front war: fighting extradition and trying to sue Hillary for underreporting the value of the event. In 2003, Paul was extradited to the U.S., and Clinton agreed to pay a $35,000 fine to the Federal Election Commission.ou’ve gotta give this guy credit for flamboyance. According to The Washington Post, Paul’s laundry list of crimes includes a 1970s plot to sell $8.75 million worth of nonexistent coffee beans to Fidel Castro–the plan was to sink an empty cargo ship before it reached Cuba so he could keep the cash. In 1979, he was imprisoned for fraud and cocaine possession, then later violated parole, reportedly fleeing to Canada with a dead man’s identity. After his release from prison in the ’80s, he served as partner and manager to Fabio.

WOWSERS!!! You were right Obama has some interesting stuff in his past, but nothing like the merry group of donors Hillary runs with!!!

And I just know there won’t be 25 dismissals of the accusations against her, but hey hypocrisy is COOL!
