When pressed about our ability, he said that we had the naval power to keep the straight of Hormuz open but that any Iranian nuclear facilities could not be taken out by any quick strike. He was vague about our ability to carry on another long term war, which most military men are, because they don’t want to flat out say that we can’t handle it.
