Who can name all of the artists performing as The Louisiana Gator Boys in this version of How Blue Can You Get and the movie it came from? By my count, there are 22 band members. No fair googling for the answers.

Nancy lost the good silver, gave away the china and burned the linen.
That table will never, ever get set.
hi Suzanne!
All hail mods when front-pagers get cranky!
Wonderful music! I knew BB King and Clapton and that’s about it.
Long overdue
And in 20-30 years, we get a three-peat.
Time to set the table and cater the dinner while the ramble sharpens the guillotine.
I may take up knitting.
Makes me want to bang my head on the table
An alternative
Ry Cooder?
We keep thinking it’s time to set the table, don’t we?

Mosul stocks up for ‘battle‘ (Iraqs third largest city)
Iraq’s city of Mosul is preparing for what Nuri al-Maliki, the prime minister, calls a “decisive battle against al-Qaeda”.
Traders in the northern city have said that residents are stocking up with supplies after the warning came on Saturday, following an emergency meeting al-Maliki held with his war council.
Wow, talk about an appreciative audience: same song done at Sing Sing prison, 1972
geez, no one has guessed bo diddley yet? vocals and guitar
Buena Vista Social Club (Ruben Gonzalez)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..re=related
What was the “first movie,” Suzanne?
Who is the second lady?
Then we can bring the troops home?
The Blues Brothers with Jake and Elwood.
They would follow us here, didn’t you know?
this one – i assume you are not asking about Erykah Badu who, as voodoo practitioner named Queen Moussette hosted the battle of the bands.
I would encourage wangdangdoodle in particular to follow that link…
Our politicians are all slipping back into bed with big oil up here, and all the papres want to write about is making Salvia Divinorum illegal. Sheesh!
geez louise, et, isn’t that a morning glory?
es, the mosul story will go up on the news ticker next
We can fuck up the planet with our nasty, viscous black goo but you can’t make yourself feel better about it by ingesting Salvia Divinorum. That would be wrong.
;)
yeap, i second that suggestion
here’s another: gary u.s. bonds, vocals
Heavenly Blue…
Then there’s the other King… Freddie.
my blue heaven
Off to beddie bye. Bye!

Wowie Zowie Suz – amazing line up if ever there were one. Thanks for posting – it was driving me bonkers trying to figure it all out.
Nite nite everyone – happy new week to one and all.
What a line up, each and every one worthy of their own quarter in the FDL jukbox.
g’nite npb
Ah, the Spencer-Davis Group appears…
Nice one.
Roll with it, baby!
OK, off to bed for me, big day tomorrow… update resume, find job, paint bathroom ceiling, get gutters for back of house, bust another 100-200 square feet of sod, wash living room paneling, clean out fridge, grocery shopping and maybe a nap in the afternoon. And there’s a few congress critters that need contacting…
g’nite wangdang
Per Paul Krugman tomorrow:
What do you mean, If!?
It wouldn’t be heaven without rock& roll.
6 strings down
What a treat!
Thank you Suzanne. This was a fun one.
His dad, Bobby, and I used to drink at the same bar from time to time, even at the same table once in a while.
you are most welcome teddy. save sunday march 2 on your calendar for the bear creek firepups meetup, teddy. is your fiance gonna be able to come this time?
So, tomorrow is Super Eavesdropping Monday, right?
yeap, gotta keep this off NSA’s playlist
Sunday March 2 it is. He will know his schedule for that day soon, although he’s not in a position yet to ask for days off (new job!). He’s mighty pleased you want him to come, though, Suzanne, and we both hope to be there!
am figuring same times as before – afternoon, teddy. fingers and toes crossed he can attend (and yahoo for the new job)
favorited!~
Here’s hoping the House digs in its heels.
thanks – since (sob sob whine whine) no one has (sob) dugg me
mad scramble now…
Very very nice with a lot of excellent riffs. Easy on the ear great thank you for all the nice music.
When I lived in SF there was a club in Marin where name musicians did casual jams dropping in Same in Malibu.
War drums still sounding only it is the Sunni’s that the Shia Malaki is going after. Any excuse it is horrific.
I just got word Iwill be able to keep my place I am happy to say. Made powerful Thai sauce on brown rice beans and sprouts and a double barrell firestone took a nap and there that tune was.
Been down hearted baby ever since George Bush stole the Whitehouse
There you are!
Dugg!
Yup. But it took me till 2004 to get pants-shitting scared.
thanks and woohoo about being able to keep your place.
Shook BB’s hand after a concert at the Carousel in the city, SF after he played with Albert his habds were weak from playing. I was surprised I was mesmerised. 1970 or 1969.
BB slows it down and sweetens it up like nobodies business. Maybe Muddy can slow it down like that Love those blues for kickin back. Thanks again for the good vibes.
saw bb at shoreline amplitheater in the sf bay area about 5 or 6 years ago – he had george thorogood opening for him – twas one of his BB King Blues Festivals.
And as far as music goes, I’ve always favored rooftops.
other uses for rooftops
Mighty fine evening I expect…a well deserved treat no doubt. Many more returns to look froward to.
Obams vol called me today je is picking up some slack and i wished them well. I sent in my primary vote already for John Edwards after he suspended his campaign…. The vol asked if I had heard that he would be AG…a rumor they are planting…so who do they want as Veep?

I shoulda recognized Jeff Baxter, Billy Preston and Isaac Hayes
And, had I known there was a Blues Brothers 2000, it woulda been the obvious choice
Way late to the party and I know I’m missing some but
Movie: Blues Brothers 2000 (where my hometown gets a mention)
BB King, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Vaughn, Travis Tritt, Skunk Baxter, Dr John, Koko Taylor, Lou Rawls, Paul Shaeffer, Stevie Winwood, Billy Preston, Clarence “Big Man” Clemons, Isaac Hayes, Bo Diddly, Charlie Musslewhite
BB, EC, Paul Shaeffer, Stevie Winwood, donald duck dunn, bo didley , Coco taylor, charlie musselwhite, taj mahal, billy preston, lou rawls, clarence clemmons, Dr. john. (That’s what I got without cheating. Couldn’t think of Travis or Skunk without above help.
One player that that should be in the damn movie, but is not: Chicago. Jake Blues turned over and and shook a tailfeather with Ray in his grave. This song was one of the few redeeming parts of the fair to poor movie. I love Canada, but Toronto has got all the soul of some dry white toast.
What a fun thread Suzanne!
And a video to marvel at, and bookmark too
