Ah, Conservatives, is there no liberal-progressive-reality based issue they cannot inadvertently prove?
White, wealthy male successful mediocrity Rush Limbaugh, already an example of disproportionate justice, had this happen to him:
In the final major election using touch-screen electronic voting machines, sporadic glitches and foul-ups were reported at Palm Beach County precincts.
A few voters reported issues with balky machines when they tried to select a candidate. Among them was Rush Limbaugh, the radio personality who aired his complaints to a national audience.
Limbaugh, of Palm Beach, said after voting for president, he hit the "next" button and the machine froze. He went back to the candidate page and tried again. "So I don’t know if I voted twice," he said.
And for once, that may not be the hillbilly heroin talking.
Yes, Mitt lost because of voting irregularities in South Florida.
Why don’t you run with that one (well don’t run, you might want to just walk).
Meanwhile, the John McCain is Bob Dole without the Charisma and Energy watch begins:
SCARBOROUGH: …John McCain’s platform — and it certainly looks inviting for the fall — he has promised less jobs and more wars. Now that’s something we can all rally behind.

he has promised less jobs and more wars. Now that’s something we can all rally behind.
I think he is just promising things he is sure he can deliver on.
We should help him out by generating some good chants for McCain rallies. How about
Hey Hey Ho Ho, all these jobs have got to go.
or
2 4 6 8 … that many wars would be really great.
Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose – déjà vu all over again (as it was once so nicely put).
356!
Who among us will ever again think of McCain without that image?
(And why o why is the world just supposed to go huggin’ and kissin’ on Brush at every opportunity? Why is that supposed to be his due?)
SAN FRANCISCO — The Central Valley fall run of chinook salmon apparently has collapsed, portending sharp fishing restrictions and rising prices for consumers while providing further evidence that the state’s water demands are causing widespread ecological damage.
The bad news for commercial and sport fishermen and the salmon-consuming public surfaced Tuesday when a fisheries-management group warned that the numbers of the bay’s biggest wild salmon run had plummeted to near record lows
—————–
the republicans are fouling the water….all the fish are dying damn them to hell
So, everyone is pretty sure the “waving the white flag of surrender” won’t work huh?
Will Zionist Brother Number One, Lieberman, be his running mate or will he try to placate the remains of Malkin’s exploded head? Whichever, our Middle East policy will stay in the Black Sites and Rafah will be covered in a concrete dome if McCain wins the general.
Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent who nearly won the vice presidency as a Democrat in 2000, says there’s no way he’ll be Republican Sen. John McCain’s running mate should McCain become the party’s presidential nominee.
”No, I’d tell him, ‘Thanks, John, I’ve been there, I’ve done that. You can find much better,”’ Lieberman told The Associated Press during an interview Tuesday in his Senate office. ”I’m not seeking anything else.”
The Connecticut senator said he was unequivocally ruling out sharing the GOP ticket with McCain.
I think that’s the same article that gives a quote from Traitor Joe where he then says, “I’ve been in the Democratic Party my whole life and don’t plan to leave it.”
Huh?!? He left the Party after Lamont spanked him in the primary! Even though the article calls him an “independent,” they repeat Traitor Jowl’s lies like the good little stenographers they are.
BTW, how hilarious would it be if Traitor Joe becomes CrazyTrain’s running mate? The fact that J. Low said he won’t be, basically means he will be IMO. If it happens, we need to brand them with the “hug” photo above and the “kiss” photo that brought down in the CT primary. They need to be forever attached to Shrub in the minds of voters.
(I’m not ruling out Mittmo: The Tax Whisperer just yet though…)
Those were predictions rather than promises. But, even so, I don’t want a president that accepts and announces those things as a forgone conclusion. It’s a very bad attitude, and dems can hang him with those in the general election.
So, now the GOP is down to choosing between:
— a faith-based Mormon who believes that “Freedom requires religion.”
— a social moderate who believes we can’t get our jobs back, we need to occupy Iraq for a century, and there’ll be more wars.
I think I know which one the neocons will love.
Read Gerson in the WAPO this morning about the compassionate conservative!
you know, he would get the nomination if he did run, he would beat mccain, mutt and whoever else he ran against in the primaries
Yeah, I saw that after I commented, unfortunately. I still worry about our Middle East policy under McCain and I’d say that that was the reason Zionist Brother Number One was campaigning for McCain.
Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb-Bomb-Iran!
Do you think McCain thinks that Droopy as VP would help his Straight Talk Express? I think McCain (incorrectly MSM portrayed as a liberal-leaning Maverick) will select a VP with stronger Rethug bona fides – a warmongering FiscalConservative with an R by his name.
OT THIS in the Guardian – could it be the ray of hope needed
Every bit as much a gagger as I had expected it to be after refusing to read it initially. Raven, you just made my hit list for the day. *g*
Again?
Been lookin at that in rear view mirror for quite a while.
I know the words to that hymn by heart myself
Thanks in large part to Dubya and Rove’s massive smear campaign against him in 2000, McCain is (still) thought to be loony tunes among the voting public. This loony tunes meme lingers and could easily be resurrected, and reconstructed for 2008. IIRC, Rove (and Dubya) implied that McCain lost his marbles in the POW camp. This convenient meme is stuck in the valium and alcohol impaired minds of Republican voters. Just gotta shake it up.
Morning, all.
A what if question. If Joe were to accept the nomination, what would the effect be on his Dem party status in the caucus and his standing as senator from CT.
I mean, accepting the first and keeping the other two requires a “wide stance.”
Good morning, pups. It’s MoDo as the columnist and Bobo as the blogger today. MoDo is channeling Emily Post this morning. She says, in a thing she typed called “Seeing Red Over Hillary,” that it would have been the natural thing for Barack Obama, only hours after his emotional embrace by the Kennedys, to greet the rebuffed Hillary Clinton at the State of the Union address. Bobo does his bloggy-thingy about what Florida taught him.

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. Gotta dash — running SOOOO late…
Romney will smear McCain. The same way Dubya did it. Yesterday the pundits all said that McCain is out of money. Maybe he’ll get more money, but Romney will infer that McCain is insane. That will take him out.
Well thats settled. As we all know the man never lies.
Good morning. Flipping thru channels, I see McCain on C-SPAN. He’s really WHITE. Not just a MWM, but WHITE. He looks like a ghost, seriously.
Actually, it’s a “first” for you. *G*
Seems he would have to give up something, but given the nature of Joe’s Democratic contemporaries, they would accomodate him as best they could. They have already demonstrated that. I don’t know what the rules would be on that. Whatever they are, they would find the best way to accomodate.
Leading to my oft asked question.
“How does a guy from Arizona end up whiter than Hugh Hewitt?”
Yea, Hillary just said in the last few weeks that Traitor Joe’s still a good friend and should still be allowed to caucus with Dems.
I guess the bond of “bombing brown pregnant mothers and children” is too strong to break between Traitor Joe and Hillary. A match made in heaven.
McCain will take Bloomberg. Just a thought.
Good Morning Attaturk!
good grief
I just listened to McCain’s oh-so-magnanimous victory speech, he was so gracious to all his opponents, so healing, so uniting, so revolting.
Cool. The VT effort to arrest Shrub/DeadEye is getting some BigMedia press now. And they even expose some of the extreme violence of Sludge Report commenters.

Re Feingold’s interview below. I’m an attorney and as much as it sux that they can listen in and scoop up our emails, calls, etc., that doesn’t bother me as much as the immunity.
If the Dems get railroaded in granting immunity for this what’s next? What other criminal practice will they immunize? Torture? Secret prisons? I think they’re most worried about this because it’s so EASILY PROVABLE that they broke the law. The other stuff is a little harder. But still. When will the rampant lawlesslessness — no accountability — stop?
What is it with that clinton woman. Does she get off stabbing people in the back? The Dem party (stupidly or not) zapped Michigan and Florida for not toeing the party line but that clinton woman now wants to go to court to get all the dem delegates despite the agreement among the candidates. Is she really such a self interested smarm. Does she really believe that she, and only she, should be able to determine dem party rules? I never had any interest that clinton woman and I have less now.
And I’m revising my “Guiliani will win Fla” prediction. Apparently, they can only steal 12 points with those machines. Thus, he really got only 5 percent.
Imagine this as president: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSk9toKfrwo
Make you proud to be ‘merikan…
She’s not exactly a “team player.”
Vermont can count itself lucky if these whack jobs NEVER cross the state line.
I so dearly want to see those bastards brought to justice. And I’m so concerned that it won’t happen due to immunities, pardons, and apathy/politics of the next president — I don’t see any of the front runners pushing for prosecution if elected.
Dracula strength sunblock?
VT can also count itself lucky to have Bernie Sanders. He gave a pretty damn good speech on the floor yesterday calling out the chimp and his petty, self serving, lying, state of the union. Well done VT
Is it McCain’s cancer that keeps him out of the sun? Still, he looks very unhealthy.
Its number three on the Front page at Yahoo. Let’s click on it.
It’s The Clintons, not “the clinton woman.” This is exactly how they both behave….always. They have been beyond predictable so far, although I have been somewhat surprised that they haven’t been more negative and dirty.
Maybe that’s coming or they’re doing more behind the scenes tricks we don’t know about. Perhaps they noticed the public wasn’t accepting their negative bullshit anymore and dialed it back?
I can say, from personal experience, that this is how they always do it. Nothing new here.
Oh, that’ll help him out with “the base.” Let’s see, Bloomberg’s a D, a R, an I, 3 … 3 parties in one. Sounds like a commercial for chewing gum.
She does not seem to be getting any endorsements from Senators. Do they know her too well?
It seems that most are staying out of it so far. If Senator endorsements are any gauge, I’ll take Obama’s Kennedy (and Caroline!) over Hillary’s Bill Nelson anyday!
He’s a tri-partisan. He can reach across the aisle and out the door. Gag…
OMG, guess who was a talking head on FoxNews this morn? Sara Taylor. Talking about the Florida primary. Fox is the official home of disgraced republicans (and Dems too, if they’ll switch sides).
McCain already showed how easilly he will shed the “maverick’ skin to reach the Presidency when he courted Falwell.
Even though hes is technically a Western Senator, he will pick someone who appeals to the ‘base’ as a running mate.
This will not be anyone of a faith other than Christian, nor willl they likely be ferom the East Coast.
The Rs who like LIEberman and Romney are already in his camp – ClearChannel employees excepting.
And, to the voters he needs, all those media types are libruls anyways.
They get their marching orders at church.
What was the personal experience? Most of us only know what we read and, as is often noted on FDL, we don’t much trust that.
Of course, Bloomberg has a lot of money, so it’d be interesting to see if someone’s willing to sell out the principles for the bucks. Hahaha.
Never happen.
Democrats need to start hammering McCain’s Iraq war hawkishness now – not after he wins the GOP nod. Simply put, Dems need to repeat the following – 24/7:
“John McCain will not get us out of Iraq.”
John McCain will start a war with Iran
IRT McCain: The ‘more wars’ comment is disturbing. Equally disturbing in that same quote was ‘I promise you we will never surrender’. He’s still mad we left Nam and he’s not going to make that mistake again. We will be in Iraq till we are bankrupt and broken.
Good morning everyone.
Ass Limbo got to witness first hand how the electronic voting machines are corrupt? Bah hahahahahahaha! Oh gawd. That’s good. Knowing McCrazy won in Florida must have Ass Limbo steaming that there is a chance, HIS MOMENT OF VOTING COULD HAVE CAST TWO VOTES FOR MCCRAZY!
I love it. You made my day with this post, Attaturk!
Will Ass Limbo be able to determine if in fact the machine he was using did cast two votes for McCrazy his arch enemy? Nope! No paper trail. Welcome to reality, Ass Limbo!!!!
btw, here’s what’s coming up on

I know that Rush’s experience brings attention to the problem. But here’s more. It wasn’t just Palm Beach. (see link below). And Tallahassee was reporting 70% turnout ??!!! 70???!!! I dunno. Could be. There was a Constitutional amendment on the ballot and there’s alot of government people up there. But 70%?

Yup. He’ll pick a Jesus Freak economist. Nobody comes to mind.

The McCain made me think of this Christopher Walken bit from Pulp Fiction. The Gold Watch
Grassley is on right now… :0===I
I was the campus campaign manager for Jerry Brown at my school in 1992. There were so many false stories floated around about Jerry that we and the national folks were able to attribute to the Clintons. It was so odd how the BigMedia seemed to follow suit in repeating the lies, and then how Bill would respond to questions about these lies with condescension and smirks. It was like it was all coordinated.
Contrast that with us, who were getting articles from Arkansas supporters about all the affair rumor, and other things, even back then, and we chose to not stoop to that level and keep it about the issues. Too bad the Clintons didn’t.
At the time, people would just dismiss these claims as crazy conspiracy talk. Now all these years later people (around here at least) seem to understand how the BigMedia will support candidates that won’t rock BigMoney’s boat too much, think John Edwards and Howard Dean.
Over the years, it’s just become conventional wisdom that the Clintons operate like this.
They’ve been to state court in FL & lost. It’s so bogus. they talk about working to seat the delegation. That’s going to happen. If a candidate has enough delegates to win or will have enough if FL (& MI). It’s for show. We still didn’t mean anything in the process. So HRC can STFU about working to seat the FL delegation.
Hmmmmm. McCain:
— promises to occupy Iraq for another century
— predicts more wars (likely Iran)
— has the support of Joe Lieberman, who’s well connected with The Lobby
— claims to be broke.
Somehow I doubt he’s that poor.
That’s absolutely hilarious. One of my favorite movie scenes of all time. What do you think he was keeping up his ass?
that’s my response to all the Repubs anymore
:0====|
(sumtimes w chunkx, 2)
…and, his name (John Sidney McCain) anagrams to Ninja Comedy Chins!
hmmm eve1 is vom1ting on thread, what happened?
Done, at least on the part of secret prisons. Reference the Military Commissions Act
Okay, thanks. My experience was simply eight years of the most vile attacks on Clinton, apparently instigated and funded by a few ultra wealthy creeps and Arkansas sworn enemies.
I still would prefer Edwards, but it appears my choice in November will be either Clinton or Obama vs. McCain or Romney. While the media seems to agree that the Clinton’s are the dirty campaigners against Obama, I’m going to end up supporting the Democrat in November and don’t want to harbor a lot of grudges against the candidate. I still think it’s most important to defeat Republicans.
You mean, besides the watch? I don’t know. There were two guys that hid the watch, thusly. One died of dissentary (the boy’s father). He passed it to Commander Koons who kept the uncomfortable hunk of metal up his ass for two years. Funny how the watch comes up later in the story, when Butch’s girlfriend forgets it on the nightstand.
oh! Grassley!
:0===|
I’m not sure it’s just Big Media not supporting someone who will rock the boat. There’s just something wrong with reporting (and reporters). Rudy can hardly be described as a candidate BigMedia wouldn’t support. But, much as he’s a bum and I take graet pleasure in one of the worst performances by a candidate in memory, I think he got a raw deal coverage -wise in the run up to the FL primary. Every day, everywhere, the only thing that was reported about him were his plummeting poll numbers. That’s all he was asked about. It’s not so different from what Edwards is going through. They decide what’s newsworthy by looking at polls. The polls, themselves are the most newsworthy thing in an election to them.
And I don’t get McCain. BigMedia wrote his obituary a few months ago. Now they love him. Maybe it was because a few months ago they had another candidate of choice – Fred “Mr. T” Thompason. I dunno.
I don’t disagree with your comments, but I think there’s more to it than that. I guess what I’m talking about is just plain shitty reporting.
Less Jobs!!
More War!!
Go McCain?
